Brad Pitt Works With Jimmy Carter
Today Pitt was with former American President Jimmy Carter as he built a home as part of Carter’s Habitat for Humanity. The project will see 100 homes built this week in Patan Village, southeast of Mumbai, India.

Of course, all of this comes at a time when Angelina is under intense criticism for ceasing her giving Cambodian Vision in Development. CVD has not recieved funds since last year and they were allegedly promised up to $1.5M in aid by Jolie. Her lawyer said:
she was merely exercising her right to oversee the work, and was establishing a separate organization in Cambodia to which she would provide the funds.
As a couple who takes this sort of press in stride, here is a picture of them enjoying their hotel in India (taken over the weekend?).

I also read the explanation issued by the organization (I can’t find the link now), which in bottom line indeed stated that Angie changed the structure in the organization, which she could rightfully do so. Anyway I hope the media will pay as much attention to the FULL story as they did to yesterday’s ’story’, which - to me - was nothing else than another attempt to damage Angie’s integrity!. Eventhough we fans know better, it still makes me angry. She does not deserve this c…p.
And look at Brad, working/helping/doing what he can.Eventhough we will never meet, he makes me so proud, mentally I give him a ‘high five’.

I could not see Pres. Carter’s face but this is a great picture of his back. It must be windy where they are over the weekend. I think that Angie has other plans for the Cambodian project and I know the tabs will fabricate this part again over the next few weeks. I don’t think they are adopting a child from India. Remember all the speculations when they were in Namibia. “She is going to have a water birthing, they will name the baby Africa, and so on.”

LOL, not sure that is really Carter’s backside. Isn’t it a great pic of Mr. Construction Man though? Woot. He is so very hunky.
I thought it was sweet the way she was so close to him too. I’m glad to see them almost always together.

Hey there Ahri. Jimmy Carter? I totally agree with you. He is a wonderful human being.
For the others, I’m not sure if that is him in that picture or not, but they did show he and Brad today on one of the entertainment shows walking through the worksite.

On the TMZ.com video, I saw Pres. Carter too wearing a long-sleeve shirt. And Robyn, yeah Angie is standing really close to Brad at the hotel picture. They don’t even hold hands in public pictures. However, they must show all intimacy behind closed doors where no paps.

Hi Original JPF,
I don’t know what made me comment on that post and picture, but it just struck me as funny that a great President like Jimmy Carter was sort of second to a gorgeous and sexy Brad Pitt. Then, I didn’t think I had sent the post and added a sentence about Brad and Angelina, thereby, the two posts from me.
Sorry that I don’t post too much anymore. I do miss it, but so much is going on in my life, and there is so little left of it, that I feel as if I have to do other things than check into what Brad and Angie are doing. I do, however, pray for them every night, especially right now, what with the supposed threats against them, and with them being so far away from home. I also do check into a few sites, this one being one of them at least a couple of times a week.
I miss you all.

Robyn,
I read gossip rocks and also read the insults to Brad who we should thank for even showing up (just for 15 minutes). It is not the quantity of time that is important, it is the awareness, exposure to the public for Habitat. He is hot right now, so everywhere he goes, he can bring publicity, not for himself (he even said, I’m so sick of talking about myself) but to help these organizations who need more limelight than him to the public. And I guess, some people (Brangelina haters) are not sophisticated enough to understand this. For those who are complaining that Brangelina are always helping other countries and not the U.S. People they will be in New Orleans next month to help rebuild homes there. Last time I know, New Orleans is in the U.S.

I think India is not very welcoming to our favorite couple. The PR sucks, makes one not want to visit. They really need to be more like Namibia, now there is a place I would not mind visiting.

The Pitts are and will always be the object of negative publicity. That’s the downside of being hot in Hollywood.
IMO, Brad’s appearance at the HABITAT is to show support to this wonderful organization headed by former US Pres. Carter. Whatever worktime he gave to HABITAT is a welcome sight .
HABITAT is there to build 100 HOUSES, the PITTS are there to make a MOVIE in so little time . Go figure, haters.

People magazine says that Brad was there all day.
During his visit, which lasted until sundown, Pitt chatted with the Carters and then helped lay cement blocks. “He was perfectly relaxed and didn’t mind being photographed at all,” local reporter Pranjal Bhujan told PEOPLE. “He did everything – he mixed the cement, carried it to the house, laid it on the bricks and then placed the bricks on the wall that was being built.”

Also Lainey from laineygossip says
As you know, Brad helped out with Habitat for Humanity on Monday in India, and contrary to local reports that indicate he only stayed for half an hour (just in time for pictures), I’m told by 2 sources also involved with the project that Brad actually stayed for the entire time,

On Monday Brad Pitt visited the Western India town of Lonavala, where he helped former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Rosalynn and other Habitat for Humanity volunteers build two new houses.
The actor, who has been in Pune, India, with Angelina Jolie filming A Mighty Heart, arrived around noon – when the press corps was at lunch – and for a few moments went unnoticed among the 1,500 foreign volunteers.
But then a Times of India photographer happened to recognize Pitt and the whole press pack came running.
Pitt also spoke with Aziz and Sadhiya Sheikh, who will own one of the houses he worked on – although Sadhiya Sheikh later told reporters she had never heard of the actor.
But her husband, a taxi driver, had, because of all the recent coverage of Pitt and Jolie’s activities in Pune. “I know he is the famous American actor,” Aziz said. “I was excited and honored that he and Mr. Carter were helping to build my house.”
Pitt and Carter also helped out on a house for rickshaw driver Dev Aggarwal and his wife, who is seven months pregnant. “I didn’t know who Pitt was, but to have a famous man visiting your house is an auspicious sign with a baby on the way. It means good things are going to come,” Aggarwal told reporters.
After Pitt had gone, the Indian volunteers working on the site came rushing to the two couples to congratulate them on having been ‘blessed’ by a visit from Pitt and Carter.
“Brad just believes in doing his part to draw attention to the fact that so many people around the world lack adequate and affordable housing,” the actor’s philanthropic advisor, Trevor Neilson, told PEOPLE. “He has great respect for the work that President Carter has done leading Habitat for Humanity and is glad to be able to help draw attention to their important work in India and around the world.”
In total, 100 houses are being built in association with Habitat for Humanity for low-income families in the Lonavala area as part of the 23rd annual Jimmy Carter Work Project.
Also helping the Carters – who every year since 1984 have spent a week building homes for Habitat – were former Miss World and Miss India Diana Hayden and Australian cricket player Steve Waugh.
“We’ve realized that people across the globe have the same basic needs, dreams and aspirations,” Carter, 82, said at a press conference at the work site. “Habitat’s program depends on finding families who cannot otherwise afford housing.”
Last month, Pitt and Jolie formed the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which will give $2 million to Global Action for Children and Doctors Without Borders to help families affected by HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.

People Mag and UPI have true story about Brad’s habitat work, both said he came at noon and stayed until sundown! A local named reporter is quoted in these articles and the owners of the TWO houses he worked on are also quoted. Also Brad reps say that the VF cover is unauthorized and Brad is exploring his legal options. Angelina formed another Cambodian charity named for Maddox, and her rep says she may file a lawsuit against the head of the charity that is complaining for stealing hundreds of thousands of her donated dollars.

Aid donation in third world countries is beset with many problems; and on top of the list is CORRUPTION.
For many years, the USA and other rich western countries/governments have donated billions if not trillions of dollars to help poor countries and yet the people of these countries stay poor and their place largely undeveloped.
Where have all the money gone?

the world would be a better place if everyone would do what they do
they have a lot of money they could spend their time shopping, at parties and nightclubs, flying around in their jet doing vacation here and there but instead they help people and they really care
about people who weren’t so lucky and got born into a poor family in a poor country
I admire them!
