A well-deserved weekend in the sun for Brad and Angelina
Warner Bros. reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent the weekend in Santa Barbara, California where they spent some time sunning on the beach, riding ATVs, and apparently taking a well-deserved break to relax like ordinary folks.
Angelina said that after her recent visit to Africa she’s getting involved closer to home again, taking on the mammoth endeavor of addressing the education system in New Orleans.
“Brad is working on rebuilding there. But for me, just as a mom, I love the other parents and the kids. I’m starting to work on the education here… there’s a lot of work to be done,”
No pictures have surfaced of their weekend yet, though I’m keeping an eye out! The picture accompanying the article on the WB site is actually from their visit to Vietnam over Thanksgiving.

EXTRA/Warner had a clear pix of Brad and Angelina riding their atvs at their SB home. Believe BB is now filming in LA for a while.

I read on JustJared that they spotted Brad riding his motorcycle in L.A. as early as Friday 3/9/2007 but they haven’t spotted Angie and kids yet so there were no pictures from JustJared too.

Clearer pixs were shown on EXTRA and E! news programs, not on websites. They will probably show up in this week’s tabs. Looks like the pixs were taken from a boat like the earlier SB pixs with Maddox, Brad, and Gavin Rossdale. Angelina is keeping up with Brad on her ATV, they are really two of a kind.

I can not wait to see the pictures. I love this couple so much I feel like I am putting too much pressure on them to be happy. Am I nuts or what?

just read on msn.ca news that they used Shiloh to be Cate Blanchard as a baby. I guess the twins they hired wouldn’t stop fussing and Brad grab Shiloh out of the daycare on th set and she was a pro. Actually as much as I like seeing pics of the family I wish the photograhers would leave them alone. I really wouldn’t want my kids growing up thinking people are always there to take my picture. JMHO

They showed one photo on ENews last night with Depandi and Seacrest announcing but it was not very clear. May be the paps cannot get too close because the area where they were was their private beach and the paps have to use their long lense. I have never seen Angie ride an ATV, she always pilots her plane instead. But I remember she did motorcycle stunts in Lara Croft and she rode one in Canada with Brad to go to a restaurant during Canada’s Independence Day back in 2005. Captd you are not nuts, all of us are just inspired and very positive people.

this weekend over brunch, friends of mine made the comment that BP and AJ are a bit hypocrtical, in that particularly Brad talks about linving a “green” life (go back to interviews he gave when Global Green competition results were announced), yet he owns several motorcycles, flies planes, and rides ATV on the beaches. Honestly, I was a bit stumped for a intelligent reply.
thoughts on that?

Hi Sophie,
Brad is 43 yrs. old and had worked hard to get the type of living he desires. Yes Brad or Angie can always drive a hybrid like Leonardo D. and Julia R. but he donated time and money to the green project. I feel he also wants to enjoy like to the fullest - planes, bikes/atv, etc. If you watch the life style of the rich and famous and how these celebrities spend their money, people will realize that Brad and Angie are nearly saints. Brad and Angie want to help provide food and homes to refugees first, and second to the green project because Brad is in to architecture/building. Angie does not spend her money in plastic surgery or go around with her own personal hair dresser or yoga instructor either. They even take care of their kids mostly full time if they are not filming. Everyone has to have what you call your own “guilty pleasure” that you alone can enjoy if you can afford it financially. Yes, ideally I want to see Brangie at the recycling center. Could you imagine the paps chaos if they do this? I want to see them with their kids at the beach too. They deserve that life.

I don’t begrduge them “guilty pleasures” (I have a few of my own), I have no opinion as to whether they deserve their life or not…it is, after all, their life. But your answer really doesn’t really give insight to the whole “living green” scenario. you know, the whole “do as you say” motto.

Well said and reasoned out Sophie. I just have a problem with the word “hypocrite.” B & A are not the main spokepersons for the “green living.” BP is only helping NOLA residents rebuild their lives and the winner of the building contest made the plan environmental friendly. BP was one of the judges. I never read anywhere that AJ or BP are campaigning for the “green-living.”

ppl judging brad and angie imo are just haters! cannot accept the fact that these two ppl found e/o other created a family and living the life that they always wanted with true joy and profound love[brad’s words.] i wish ppl would just stop hating on them or if they dont have anything nice to say just dont say anything.
brad and angie had contributed a lot of their own money and efforts and time to help and reach the most needy/indigent ppl of the world. what ever they do with their leisure time they deserve it. how abt.you haters? have you done something good to your community or to your neighbor at least? i will guess not! now, who do you think God will Bless?,ppl who helps their brethrens around the world or haters like you!

Except for Ed Begley Jr anyone else that speaks about Going Green in a hypocrite to use your word. All Brad asked is that each and everyone try and make a change whether it is changing the type of bulb you use to changing how our homes are built.

BTW, I did not say he was a hypocrite, I said friends of mine called him a “bit hypocritical”. and as you say, I suppose we are all that…just a bit.
