Yep…thats it in a nutshell. Nice article. Thanks Christina!!
Also, I think I was under the mistaken impression that Angie had also either founded, funded or supports a wildlife preserve in Namibia. I may be off on that, from another board, so my apologies…does anyone know? I did find this link tho, that tells of her honorary citizenship to Cambodia, not just because she adopted Z there, but ….well…read it for yourself:

here’s a little more on that:
(From April 2003)
Angelina Jolie funds wildlife sanctuary
PHNOM PENH: Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has agreed to pay US$5mil (RM19mil) over the next 15 years to set up a wildlife sanctuary in a former Khmer Rouge-controlled area of Cambodia, a senior charity official said yesterday.
Jolie, who fell in love with the war-scarred South-East Asian nation while filming the action movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, has already paid a first instalment of US$350,000 (RM1.3mil) to get the ball rolling, said Mounh Sarath, head of Cambodian Vision in Development.
The project aims to protect more than 20,000ha of forest in northwest Cambodia, which five years ago was still controlled by remnants of the brutal ultra-communist Khmer Rouge, responsible for the genocide of the Killing Fields.
The money would also go towards helping war veterans and amputees rebuild their lives, the charity said.
“This is a great opportunity for us to restore deforested areas and protect wildlife to ensure local communities will not destroy them,” Mounh Sarath said. – Reuters

Angie and Brad also made the Time Magazine list of power couples.
Also Bill and Melinda Gates did make the list. They are under the Leaders & Revolutionaries heading.

Portishead, unless I’m looking in the wrong spot, I don’t think there’s a power couples list. Also, I didn’t see Brad Pitt’s name anywhere on the list. Please feel free to correct me and point the way because I WOULD love for both to be the case (them on a couples list, his mention…if not this year, he sure will be next time)

Sorry JoliePittFan,
I forgot to include the link. I think we’ll have to buy the issue to see the power couple part. But here’s the article from the Boston Globe.

I wasn’t going to comment, but I changed my mind. I was always taught by my parents to look at the good someone does whether or not you have some “personal” crazy issue against them or not. There are people out there who don’t like the woman for one reason or another. Putting stupid stuff aside, you’ve got to admit that the woman is doing a lot of good for a lot of people regardless of what “haters” may think. If you look at the good the woman is doing and just try to just help out a neighbor or something, maybe just become a volunteer or look at people with more concern and sympathy. It would make you a better person. Oh, and for folks who think she just started doing humanitarian work since she started seeing Brad. Oh, another thing; AJ is the type of woman who does so much with career, humanitarian work, her family that if for some unknown reason things didn’t work out with her and Brad, she wouldn’t be sitting on Oprah’s couch evey chance she got. She seems to have a high level of self esteem and purpose that she would go on and continue to do her work. She’s that kind of woman; strong, independent, caring, talented, and family-oriented. Regardless of whether you like her or not, you have to admit that she’s multi-dimensional. It’s not all about Red Carpets and striking a pose, although the woman is blessed. She can wear a rag and still look beautiful. She’s not vain, though.

Carolyn, Angelina has made so many uncomfortable. She didn’t hide her faults, and when her life started to change, she she embraced it. Her honesty about herself makes others so uncomfortable because she walks the walk she talks while they shop. She’s real people. She isn’t a slave to fashion, or image. I saw a photo of her Brad and the kids once, and she had juice in an Evian water bottle! It may not be the everyday water of the common folk, but recyling the bottle to put the kids juice in it IS something we do in my house lol. As far as Brad’s concerned, I can’t imagine at this point anything but death separating these two. She’s just herself, and it’s refreshing.

Thank you MIKE.
Also, if you folks checking out justjared.com for photos, be sure to scroll down the page for the link to “Angelina Jolie - Fame With A Purpose”… here’s a clip:
“Captivating. That’s the word that best describes Angelina Jolie, or Angie as she is called by those who know her. Up close she is even more beautiful, but not just because of the lines of her face….
How common is it to find someone who embraces the idea that any true gift is given anonymously? Angie’s like that, not wanting to publicize her efforts, unless some greater good might come of it….”

What an eventful weekend with all the jolie-pitt news and pictures! I just watched the Ann Curry interview and was so impressed with AJ and how she lives her life. She seemed to be almost embarrassed when AC would reference her “influence” or the fact that she and Brad are intriguing to the world. I just loved her giggle and the way she talked about Brad directly and indirectly. Love this family!!! For some strange reason I felt so proud of her. I wonder what Oprah thinks about Time including AJ on the top 100 list?
P.S. Anhri, hope your daughter’s wedding was everything both you and she dreamed of. I thought about you last night!

Someone wrote a real good article over at:
http://www.livepunjab.com/news/stunning_angelina_jolie_rules_people_s_100_most_beautiful-22100.html
A clip:
“This beautiful woman with a beautiful heart has a will to go out to Africa and spend weeks there just helping out and understanding what life is like over there. In Jolie’s own words, “Love one person, take care of them until you die. You know, raise kids. Have a good life. Be a good friend. And try to be completely who you are. And figure out what you personally love. And like go after it with everything you’ve got no matter how much it takes.” Hats off to you lady.”

Ya know….I been thinkin’…LOL…and watch out when Cathi gets to thinkin’& writin’…
I always wondered why I have whatched her grow up all these years and why I find her so appealing. I mean she has always seemed so ‘dark’.
I just realized that for me it’s because she seems so fearless. She’s always been outspoken, but for a very long time, Angie turned alot of her “stuff” inward… gee does that sound familiar.
But, that sense of, that aura of power that she has simply by not being afraid to speak her truths…. no matter how controversial her causes, opinions, her tactics, her fame that affords her the means to be the humanitarian she is, she has stayed true to her own self. And when she found her “passion” (humanitarian/charity work & children) she just shifted all that energy she’d been turning inward, toward those passions. At whatever point in her life it becaame “not about Angelina” anymore…. I don’t know…but she has retained her spark through her truth and is flourishing as a mother, world help mate, and friend.
On top of that God blessed her with drop dead gorgeous features.
No wonder we are in awe. No wonder.

Hi! Would you happen to know the photographer that took this picture of Angie? I’m searching all over the web and can’t find a site where the agency or photographer is mentioned.
