Angelina Jolie and Maddox Jolie-Pitt out and about in Chicago

Angelina Jolie and Maddox Jolie-Pitt hit the town in Chicago, doing a bit of shopping together. At some point while they were out, Madd must have stopped for a hair cut since he’s now sporting a funky new mohawk style. Now that is a sign of cool parenting!
I have to say, she looks great in her usual black or neutral colors, but WOW does Angelina ever look amazing in this red shirt! It’s such a beautiful and vibrant color and goes so well with her hair and complexion.
I wonder what’s in the bag that she’s carrying - goodies for the kids maybe? I know I love buying things for mine, so maybe Angie saw some kids’ stuff that she just couldn’t resist!
She’s also out with the same bodyguard that was with the family when they all hit the museum for some family time.
Seeing Brad and Angie at any time is great, seeing them together is even better, but as a mom I’m a total sucker for seeing either of them with the kids!

Here I go again, but it was 89 degrees in Chicago yesterday and today. Why is she wearing a cashmere sweater? I thinks she’s cold because of the weight issues. I don’t know what to think because it seems a little odd. The color is very pretty. He looks cute.
wow she is poise and beautiful.. just beautiful….and perfect and look at her smilling….. people criticize her for her weight, but she is not that skinny at all. I think people should realize that not all photograph comes out perfect all the time. Thank for the new picture Sherri.

Angie loves neutral colors because she said, she is clumsy, she spills things on her clothes, don’t get me wrong, she’s classy and simple, but when she experiments with bright colors just brings out her beauty even more!!

Sherry, I read in an old interview that Angelina cut Maddox hair herself. She glows; I wonder what her regime is in taking care of her skin.

She looks amazing in any color but red makes her more beautiful. It’s nice to see her trying different color of clothes aside from her favorite black. Daddy Brad must stayed in the hotel to watch the other younger ones. Always nice to see her with her eldest son.

People wear long sleeves to be warmer in airconditioned places. Even when its hot you are in and out of heat and cold. Most people under dress because it’s hot outside then complain of being cold, in highly airconditioned places(bookstores, movie theaters, grocery stores especially the meat section). I think she looks fabulous. Americans are obsessed with weight because we have so much of it. Most of the other billions of people on the planet are not so meaty. I think we are used to seeing people who eat a lot and are fatter generally than in other countries. Besides these are daily pictures, she is the same size as the day before, no one loses weight every day. To me she looks happy, busy and very well dressed

Feeling cold in the heat of summer is not due to weight issue, at least as far as my experience went. I was not skinny but was cold all the time after having my son. I wore socks and winter jackets and long sweatpants in the summer for many years while my stick thin (thinner than Angelina) friends were in tank tops & shorts. It turned out I was lacking some vitamins and iron. I think Angelina may have the same problem.
Btw, how do you know it’s a cashmere sweater. It could be a very fine silk or silk blend or cotton blend one. And if u are concerned about the long sleeves, there millions of girls/women in my country VN wearing long sleeves and in assorted non-summer fabrics in tropical weather.
@mallanhead - Hee, I know what Borders is. We don’t have any here (We have Chapters/Indigo instead) but I know it’s a bookstore. I wonder though, if she got books for herself or if she got a bunch of kids’ books. After reading about how they like to just lie around in bed, all of them together on lazy weekend mornings, I can just picture them all reading stories together. Or maybe she got some books for her and for Brad to peruse to make more movie proposals for Plan B.
As for the sweater, it’s possible that she just feels chilly regularly. One of my friends is often cold while the rest of us are in shorts and tank tops. And yes to the air conditioning! When I went to see Harry Potter for my birthday it was about 90 degrees outside but I had to bundle up in a jacket in the theater because it was subzero a/c in there!

I really like your views Loren. How true. Mainly in North America are we leaning towards heavy-set compared to the slimmer Europeans and Asians. They eat a lot too but maybe have a different kind of diet and lead very active lives. We all know how extraordinarily busy Angie is.

Classic… CLASSIC… sign of eating disorder is wearing unseasonal clothes to hide weight loss. I have been looking around at some other sites - even fan sites - lots agree the Wanted pictues look unnaturally thin. Alarming is the word they are using.

Angie has always been on the slim side. The evidence is out there. LC & MAMS figures were exceptions NOT the norm!

I do not want to go into a detailed discussion about this long sleeve cashmere thing that Angie is wearing. I can’t tell if it is cashmere or another type of stretchable material but it looks good on her. Yes, she still looks gorgeous but I can’t for the life of me find an explanation why she cannot put on pounds. A lot of people can easily gain. Some who suffer a condition like hyperthyroid cannot easily gain weight because their metabolism is fast. I have hyperthyroid but I can still gain a few pounds. Angie mentioned she is grieving (it has been only 6 months ago) and it was mentioned before that Brad got her working on this film “Wanted” to get her mind of from grieving. I know she will be filming the Ron Howard movie in October so she cannot be pregnant from other suspicious fans. The thing is, if a woman is conceiving, it is very common that they cannot keep anything down their system because they get nauseous. If she is pregnant, this could be the explanation. If she is not, it is a shame if she is really “anorexic” because she needs help. I would think, the kids make her happy (she could eat more); Brad makes her happy (although, studies say, too much sex burns a lot of calories) but I know she is happy with Brad not only because of sex. So what is it then? Does she need another 6 months to let go of her grieving? I love Angie but I hope she gets healthy for her family and for herself. I am honest in saying it is quite alarming. I am a school psychologist and maybe Angie needs a psychiatrist to help her for the grieving part.
Did Maddox lose a tooth? It looks like he’s already getting visits from the tooth fairy! lol. How adorable!

Everyone is different Lucy. There is a greater power in charge. What will be, will be. Don’t psychoanalyze them or anyone too much! Let it go, just enjoy their lives as it unfolds and send love. Enjoy yours also. I am sure as a school psychologist you see a lot and work hard. Just enjoy Sherry’s site. It is a pleasant respite from all the microscopic attention to the negative almost everywhere else!
Oh and Dudu is right on, look at her old pictures and interviews. I have observed many icons thru the years and she is turning out to be the icon for this generation. It was the same for Jackie Kennedy and Sophia Loren among others, special people stand out and generate interest positive and negative. Anjie is a remarkable young woman. Restores my faith in this generation, a lot of them are doing good things. We just don’t pay attention.
dudu i agree with everything that you said! wish i could post a pic of her in 1999 during girl interrupted movie! i only have the dvd even then angie was and always is slim please watch it and see for yourselves. eversince she’s a size 3-4 only and she maintains it! when she lost her mom and after breastfeeding shi she lost more but that is normal and not alarming! i live in la and a lot of my friends and co-workers have seen her from before and they said she is really slim but not unhealthy! at the premier of ocean’s 13 in hollywood the ppl that saw angie again said she look soooo happy with brad and she is just gorgeous w/ very ‘lil make-up in the versace black dress abt.size 2-3 but she is not anorexic! if you are really a fan of her lets just be happy ‘cuz she’s happy actually very happy right now! she said it in one of her interviews promoting amh. If Audrey Hepburn were alive today, she’d be called anorexic. What I don’t undertand, Lucy, is since you’ve never met Angelina in person, how could you diagnose her? At least admit it’s your own speculation, you can’t use your profession to add validity when Angelina isn’t your patient. You’re not the only one in the U.S. to say what you have, but I*m remInded of that Repubican senator who made a tv ‘diagnosis’ that woman in Florida who was in a coma.
As a licensed school psychologist (I know psychiatrists are trained M.D.s; I don’t know if psychologists are also, and if they’re trained to diagnose and treat physical & biological conditions too), I know you’d be very careful and thorough in diagnosing & treating your student patients - a photo wouldn’t do, but clinical visits & consultations. And you know that there are exceptions as well as generalities. My doctor recently changed my medication and was competely puzzled because because my reaction was completely opposite what was expected. Luckily, her colleague had just come from a conference where my exact same case was presented.
Angie doesn’t strike me as someone who likes to hide behind anything! She’s bold and upfront as can be. If she’s trying to hide in long-sleeve clothes, I think she would have done it at the Cannes Film Fest where the whole world is watching. She’s slimmer then than now.
Lots of people in my city are dressed in heavy long-sleeve shirts and long pants in the heat of summer while others are in flimsy tank tops and skimpy shorts. Neither raises any eyebrows thankfully.
