Angelina Jolie arrives at Manhattan reshearsal for Salt

Angelina Jolie’s visit to New York City isn’t just for pleasure. Although she had time to go shopping at Lee’s Art Shop with Zahara and Shiloh yesterday, this morning she was spotted arriving at a Manhattan rehearsal studio.
She had a copy of the New York Times in hand and her Salt script in her bag as she was heading inside for some camera test shots and possibly a brief read-through. It’s getting close to filming time for Angie, so things are starting to come together on the production side of things.
Angelina looks very comfortable in her all-black ensemble. Considering our current blizzard up here, I’m envious that the NYC streets are clear and neither Angie nor her bodyguard is wearing a coat!
I don’t know which is more exciting – the Oscars being mere days away, which means photos of Brad and Angelina on the red carpet again, or getting to (hopefully!) see some shots of Angelina on the set of Salt!

Filipino Singer Pops Fernandez has confessed that she had her lips “plumped’ to make it look like the sexy lips of idol Angelina Jolie.
Fernandez was reacting to criticisms that the purported “lip job” was “overdone.”
“I’m so obsessed with my lips and I’m being honest I did have it plumped,” she said.

Irrfan Khan, the Indian megastar who plays the police inspector investigating Jamal’s game show success, costarred with Jolie in A Mighty Heart.
DEV PATEL of Slumdog Millionaire used the connection on a red carpet.
“I was like, ‘Irrfan, make a beeline for Angelina! Tell her I want to say hi!’ And he did,” says Patel.
“I didn’t say much. I was just more looking in awe at Angelina Jolie … I think she said ‘great film’ or something like that. It was a blur.”

ANIL KAPOOR of Slumdog Millionaire was completely fida over Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globe Awards held at Beverly Hills, California.
So much so that he asked fellow actor Irrfan Khan, who has worked with Jolie in the Mighty Heart, to introduce him to the Hollywood actress.
When Irrfan finally did introduce him to Jolie, Anil shook hands with her for no less than two minutes.
Irrfan Khan confirmed the incident.

As celebs prepare for Oscar night, a top plastic surgeon to the stars has revealed some of the most-wanted features among his clients.

Neer beautiful articles, it is really heartwarming how Angie has become the woman most stars admire and love or just ordinary people want to look like. They love her lips, her nose, she is just beautiful all over, sometime I wonder if she is real or just a figment of our imagination lol. I posted this in the thread prior to the past one, but I doubt anyone will still read it, so here I post it again (sorry for double post)
I just have to add one thing to this Oscar discussion: it will never be Brad AND Angie vs. Jen anyway. No matter what his feelings towards Jen are, Brad will always feel differently towards her than Angie will, because of Brad´s history and past with her. Brad and Angie will never be 100 % in the same boat there. I know this can be hard for the new partner sometimes (and it seems like it´s quite hard to some fans also) – I know from myself that I am not above to experiencing jealousy feelings towards my husband´s exes, but quite obviously my husband has different feelings for them. While he does not love them anymore, he might still have some warm feelings of friendship for one or two of them. And I´m sure it´s no different in Brad´s case with Jen. All I hope for Angie´s sake is that she is above feeling jealous of Brad´s past. And I think she is, but it seems some fans are not, and somehow…..this bothers me. It really is nobody´s business, right? And if Jen still harbours bitter feelings, it´s her right. And of course Angie probably has no bitter feelings – how could she? – , but she´s also human, so she might feel a little funny about the fact that there is a woman out there who was also once loved by Brad and shared many years with him. However, as I said before, she might be above it. I hope she is. And I wish we all could be, too!

I know I have said this before but Brad and Angie’s peers have nothing but good things to say about them. Wonder why a lot us common folk say so many bad things about them? She is beautiful, love the way both parents have split the kids up and are having a good time with them.

Off the subject. Have you noticed how Tom Cruise (Suri was dressed as Cinderalla) and K. Zeta-Jones and M. Douglas can take their kids to Disneyworld but no way could Angie and Brad do that. How do they do that without getting swarmed by papz? I have seen others take their kids? I read once that Angie wanted to but could not and people had offered to take their kids. Maybe one of these days they can take the older kids.
kim- I don’t know whether it’s just the sun making it look that way or not, but Angie’s hair definently DOES seem lighter in these pictures.
That said, I actually feel bad looking at these pictures, because Angie looks like she is not enjoying the paps photograping her!
On the subject, Angie’s hair looked really healthy. This couple always do the neatest things with their kids. Love how Brad is doing the boys time out and Angie with the girls. I am sure the twins are with Angie.

gena, I’m sure she probably is. The reason I made the comment about her seeming to be unhappy with the paps is that she isn’t smiling in any of these pictures. Then again, she looks more “serious” than “sad”. Maybe she’s just thinking about the Salt rehersal or something!

FREIDA PINTO has admitted she’s nervous about walking down the red carpet at the Oscars.
The Indian actress -Honouring The Irish In Film bash in LA, a pre-Academy Awards party hosted by the US-Ireland Alliance.
And she admitted to being incredibly nervous ahead of the Oscars on Sunday (February 22).
“It’s kind of nerve-wracking to be thinking you are going to be walking down the red carpet and breathing the same air as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, so I’m just breathing and bracing myself for the big moment,” she said.

Actor Talks to Barbara Walters for Annual Oscar Special
…..The 40-year-old actor, who was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” last year, will next be seen onscreen in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” this summer. He says that while he likes singing and dancing, his favorite thing to do is act, and he told Walters that he sees all the Oscar-nominated movies each year.
“I love the Oscars. I’ve loved it since I was a kid,” he said.
Hosting the ceremony is “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, literally it may be once,” he said, laughing.
Asked if there were any stars he’s looking forward to seeing on Oscar night, Jackman said he pictures Jack Nicholson sitting in the front row.
“I don’t know if he’s going to be there, [but] I visualize Jack Nicholson … hopefully smiling, but you never know,” he said, laughing.
He also said he’s never met best actor nominee Brad Pitt.
“I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting to meet [Pitt],” he said. “I’ve never met Angelina, either. But I’m not allowed to say that or my wife will kill me, but I’d love to meet her.”

Race car driver DANICA PATRICK was recently asked which famous star she’d like to have play her in a movie. To which the 26-year-old said she’d love it to be Angelina Jolie.

Oscars only 2 days away. Is anyone having a party or going to a party? Every year I hold a girls only PJ & Tiara party for the Oscars. We each get a small tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for our selves and of course some good wine and specialty coffees to keep us awake till the end. We also fill out the ballots and who every gets the most right wins the pot of money and an Oscar trophy that they must display for the year in a prominent place in their house. I can’t wait for Sunday night.

Kim, that sounds like so much fun. I’ve always wanted to have an Oscar party but none of my friends are all that into it. Epicurious had a great menu last week where you could pick your favorite best picture contender and create a dinner around it. Benjamin Button came with a nice New Orleans traditional meal, Slumdog Millionaire was all Indian food, etc. It sounds like a great way to celebrate the Oscars!
Alas, I’ll be watching at home in my PJs with my husband, some cookies, and a cup of tea.

Why the h8te? They are all good actors and do their jobs well. Don’t buy into the press version of these people. Can you really say you didn’t enjoy any of these actors movies. As for Tom’s star falling he is at that age where the roles decline but he will still be in movies for a long time to come.
I don’t understand how fans can not like it when others pick on their favorites, but then turn around and say nasty things about other actors. They are just people doing there jobs give them a break.

I envy the fact that your husband will watch the show with you. Part of the reason I have the girls only party is so I don’t have to listen to my husband make funny of me and my obsession.
Kim, don’t be too envious. We used to have two televisions, but the one in the bedroom was getting old and it just stopped working one day, so we only have the one in the living room. He knows that I intend to watch the Oscars, so his only two choices are watching them too or working on music in the other room – he’ll probably do a bit of both.
Sunday is actually our 10th anniversary but we’re going to celebrate it mostly on Saturday instead (so we can have dinner out somewhere if our oldest daughter’s fever is gone and she can have her grandparents take care of her and her sister) so it all works out!

I just want to post a reply to Victoria. I don’t really know if your concern for your post is the “other fans” or you. It sounds like you are the one who wants Angie to just take it when Jennifer will show up and not be jealous with it. I know I shouldn’t pick up on this but I can’t help it. You said it’s ok for Jen to have bitter feelings but Angie has no right to. Why? And why would Jen be bitter?
Once and for all, stop speculating this way. I don’t like it when the supposedly “fans” of Angie would think that she is as low as this. Don’t you know that Angie knows better than you do when it comes to this kind of situation? She’s in good terms with her ex-husbands and she certainly knows that “warm feeling with exes” that you’re saying. Which means, she’ll understand.
I don’t see any problem with the meeting of these three people on the Oscars except the feasting of the papz. Angie is not the reason of Brad and Jen’s break up but the media still insists on that. So I can’t see any reason why they cannot fabricate any story when the Oscar night comes. I just wish that we, their fans would give allowances to each person and not judge right away especially if we don’t really know the real story.
Brad and Angie are people of the present. They exist in their day to day life. Jen’s life is entangled in the past. How did I know? Because she keeps the memories like videotapes, etc. Once you keep the things of the past, you have difficulty moving on towards the future because one of your feet wouldn’t let go. Somehow she has regrets over the past and would wish that things would happen differently. Only those who are fully whole could keep things from the past and live in the present. She might be sad but I don’t think she is bitter. As Brad said, she is a sweetheart. So, why worry?
