She looks beautiful-softer, somehow. I like the color on her, and am comforted by the wrinkles on her clothing. So normal.

She is one beautiful woman. There is a regal beauty about her. Brad describes Viv as being “elegant” like Angie. I can not wait to see the W mag pictures. Only two more weeks. I got my subscription. Did ot want to have search all over the place. God Bless the Jolie Pitts.

She looks amazing. I know at least 30 woman who would cut off an arm to look 1/2 as good as she does. Angie and Catherine Zeta, and even Salma have always looked more mature than their age. She has a grace that reminds me of actresses in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Clint Eastwood said the same thing. She could have lived and worked in any of those areas and been a huge success. There are not many you could say the same of. I will be clued to the set and computer this weekend. Can’t wait to see them (I hope)on the Red Carpet. Angie looks like she has lost the baby weight. I do hope she is not too thin. She looks better with a little weight to her face, arms and legs. But put on your seat belts, the haters are coming in force.

If Angie looked any hotter than those dinner pics, flames would be coming out of her trench coat. This woman looks more stunning than ever.

Angie has a sense of style that we can’t help but admire the stunning, elegant, regal, gorgeous look she has every time. She has absolutely fabulous sense of style and it really shows. I think no matter what she wears, she’s always getting attention without meaning to and mostly be admired by people, for the main reason that she carries herself very well. She is never trying hard to look beautiful and attractive. Effortless. Natural. Knowing who she is and no pretensions at all gives her the sense of confidence in her, thus it boosts her sense of style. That’s what she is & has which can’t be found to other celebrities.

Besides the breathtakingly attractive physical appearance, there is something in her that mesmerizes a person. The aura that she projects. It radiates from within. That is why she is glowing… and that is the kind of beauty that any make up, cosmetic surgeries, designer clothes, accessories CAN NEVER COMPETE WITH.

Thank you , thank you Sherry. She is a real beauty, hardly any make-up, still very stunning. She is not as gaunt now unlike after Shiloh.

To me she looks very tired, a bit older and just not in the mood to be doing these photos. Of course, she is always beautiful, but I think she looks than she has in the past. I think all of the children, and trying to breastfeed full time are really starting to take their toll on her. I worry about her because she seems to be biting off more than she can chew. I hope she is able to get a lot of rest and help.

    Hi, Angela!

Listen, I look a lot worse (not talking about physical beauty, talking about energy) than Angelina after a flight from Toronto back to Oakland – and that’s without any kids, let alone 6. So she’s not in an up and bouncy mood – she’s allowed to get tired, she’s only human like the rest of us, right? Besides, who – celebrity or not – has a grin like a clown on their face every single second? I loved the JJB pics from the press conference, especially the 2nd to the last one – she’s so animated, thoughtful, passionate. No lack of energy there.

I worry about Angelina too sometimes. At first, I worried that Brad was bringing too much trouble and drama into her life. But doggone it, she decided to keep him and not pay attention to me. I guess she decided she would deal with the consequences because of what Brad brought into her life as her partner, dad to her kids, and life companion with the same worldview and values. It may seem to us that Angelina is taking on too much – I certainly wouldn’t try doing a fraction of what she does - but that’s for her to decide. We aren’t her and we aren’t walking in her shoes. She’s proven herself to be a Supreme Multi-tasker. The way I deal with my worries about Angelina is act like a mom whose kids have grown up – keep watch, but know that I really don’t have control of over her decisions, actions or mistakes. To put it another way, I would think of Angelina as my neighbor, and the only thing I’d worry about is if she harmed me or my family.

    Gold Derby by Tom O’Neil

‘Changeling’ may finally put Angelina Jolie back in the Oscars derby

Now here comes Hollywood’s most beloved cowboy and trusty Oscar magnet, Clint Eastwood, to the rescue as the director of “Changeling,” which I saw Thursday at the New York Film Festival media screening. Audience response: huzzahs galore. It’s all Angelina all the screen time. You only care about this movie because you buy her performance as a heroic, real-life woman.

Does she look like a woman who´s suffering from a post-partum depression? I don´t think so. She loks absolutely radiant in these photos. The darker hair suits her very well. She looks much more mature and elegant this way. And she seems very happy too. Brad has found his soul mate in Angelina and no matter what the Brangelina hating tabloids write Brad and Angie will be together forever! Can´t wait for the RC photos sometime tomorrow. They´ll certainly be gorgeous!!!

Angie looks breathtakingly beautiful! The colour of her new hair really suits her. I am so happy to see her in such good mood, big smiles and with a lot of energy! The tabloids have been so wrong!

Only one more day and we will see her and Brad on the red carpet. I have to say I really love her new look. Her eyes are so beautiful and her skin looks great. Very few people can look this stunning after 3 months of giving birth (esp.to twins!).

By the way, I love the Changeling poster. It really brings out the most beautiful features of her face. Look at those lips!

I forgot to say that the above is just an excerpt from the excellent L.A. Times article analyzing Angelina’s chances this year, what went wrong with A Mighty Heart last year, comparing her with other nominees, and talking about the different factors that go into an Oscar nomination and win – including the role tabs’ overexposure plays. It always kills me when people blame Angelina and Brad for being tabloid fodder, instead of seeing that they’re the victims of tab exploitation. They don’t choose to court paps/tabs’ attention like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and Megan Fox; they don’t surrender to it like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse. It’s not the JPs’ fault that they’re the objects of the public’s obsession – which, btw, is so profitable for the tabs and paps.

Cee, thanks for the reminder to subscribe to W magazine. It’s not too late, by the way. I remember being stressed about finding the Vogue January 2007 issue with Angie on the cover. The issue was already out in the newsstands but nowhere near me, of course! So I put in my subscription to Vogue with a message to please send me the issue with Angie on the cover–and they did! So Mary Ann, I suggest you put in your subscription today. Online, it’s only $15 for the whole year–it beats going round and round looking for the magazine plus the gas and toll you’ll spend looking for it. Angie looks amazing. She is just so breathtaking in her trench coat. Femme fatale–reminds me of M/M Smith.

Clint Eastwood was on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show on 10/2/08. Funny ‘cause they didn’t mention Angelina once – I think maybe they didn’t want to contribute to Angelina’s overexposure. Clint Eastwood tells Jon how he transformed Los Angeles into the 1920s for his new film “Changeling.” Jon was very, very complimentary about the movie.

I also posted a very brief and powerful clip of Angelina being interrogated on the “sneak peek at video” thread.

I forgot to say that Jon made a really good point about the many movies made about African Americans and other minorities’ experience being oppressed and exploited - in comparison to movies about how women have often been powerless to Fight The Power (that’s a Do the Right Thing reference :-) ).

Notice the pic of Angelina and Brad being mobbed at the KFP premiere last year – very scary. Any little thing could go wrong. That’s why I don’t envy celebrities – they pay for their fame and fortune with a complete loss of privacy, they and their kids being mobbed and almost assaulted, and in some cases being wounded and even killed (John Lennon, Reagan, Ford, and other victims of stalkers, anyone?). Thoughtful article by respected Oscar-ologist Sasha Stone on why we get starstruck (partly it’s because of their perfectly symmetrical faces, she thinks).

Sorry, Leila. :-) I didn’t mean for it go this long. Please forgive me, I wanted to send them to your friend before the Toronto International Film Festval but couldn’t. Afterwards, my sister-in-law came to visit. And now the busy holiday season has started. Please know that I’m not ignoring you and that I have you in mind. ;-) I’m still not caught up on hundreds of emails since leaving for Toronto.

You asked me a question that requires some research and more work on my part than sending FanfromVN her magazine. Realistically, I can’t promise you when I can send the magazines, only that I will when I’ve caught up on my own work - including helping promote my son’s movIe SUGAR.

I understand you’ve been eager and anxious to get the magazines. I’d feel the same way. If you think you can get them sooner from another source, please do so - I don’t want you waiting to enjoy the twins and the rest of the JP family. :-(
