First it was Brad Pitt’s turn in front of the press in Tokyo, Japan. Now we move on to Angelina Jolie’s press conference for Changeling in Tokyo as well!
Angelina was looking beautiful in a light gray, fitted mini dress and minimal makeup. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I find she looks really young in these pictures!
I assume this means that we’ll have another great red carpet event at some point. I can’t wait to see what Angelina wears for the Changeling premiere. She often gets a little more daring in her clothing choices when she’s the one meant to be in the spotlight, so we’ll have to keep watch.

Closet Case: Angelina Jolie’s no-nonsense style

Angelina Jolie has to know how difficult it is to take her seriously with all the tabloid drama that follows her around. Which might have something to do with her no-nonsense style.
I can’t stop thinking about the blue Max Azria dress she wore to the SAG awards over the weekend. She’s worn Azria’s gowns to several big events, including Cannes and the VH1 Critic’s Choice Awards. Although certainly not inexpensive, his designs are accessible (Max Azria is the runway collection counterpart to BCBG), which seems right for right now. The ink-blue silk georgette SAG awards dress ships in March and will cost $798.
Jolie is one of the few celebrities who has developed a signature red carpet look — drapey, goddess-like dresses that show off her tattooed shoulders, natural hair, minimal makeup and jewelry. Some have criticized the look as dowdy, but I would call it self-aware. She’s using clothing to control her image. In a way, Jolie is telling us she’s transcended fashion and won’t be at the whims of whatever designer or jeweler happens to be the highest bidder. That alone sets her apart from the starlet pack, giving her integrity as an actress and mother, instead of just a mannequin.

i don’t think there will be a premiere of changeling in japan though, just this press conference. it is already 11:00 p.m in japan, so there was no prem friday night there, and i think brad and angelina have to be at the oscar luncheon in L.A on monday 2nd feb
I repeat myself, but again, she looks gorgeous. In some pictures though, you do see some signs of tiredness, which makes me wish all this promotion they’re doing would end soon so they can hie off and rest for a bit. There’s always excitement in waiting for them to be in the news again.
At the premiere of TCCBB, Angie was asked to describe Brad and she said, “Brad can’t be described using words but to wake up and see him with our kids, taking care of us or to wake up in his arms and look in his eyes makes me the proudest woman in the world. He is the man that made all my dreams come true, and making him and my little kids happy everyday is my number one priority.” Angie then added that the way Brad portrayed Benjamin Button’s character “melted my heart!”.

I love the dress! It is so gorgeous on her! It just shows that Angie is in perfect shape. I wish that she will go for some more daring colour at the Oscar’s. This kind of body fitting dress really brings out her beauty.

I am just wondering whether Angie intentionally wears things which make her look more mature than her age when she is on the RC with Brad so she does not look too much younger than him. When she appears on her own, she tends to wear things which make her look much younger (this one and the short black dress she wore at the KFP DVD release a while ago). Just a thought that came to my mind!

So every once and a while(every couple of months) I will go to another site and read the comments, I don’t know why I do it, but I do. I just have to say thank you for this site, which is a breath of fresh air. Not only are the critics (h8t*rs) on the other site not nice; I also find the Fans, very hostel as well, and I can’t figure out how they can just sit there on their computers and sling mud back and forth. I’m all for an intelligent conversation (or debate) but mud slinging is just pathetic. And why do they have to like one or the other. They are all good Actors, why can’t they like everyone, Or are these people even Fans?

She looks very natural here, she is not stuffing herself in Spanx. No surgery for her, she is going the natural route and letting nature take its course. I love the dress, need to get my hands on it!
Ms Jolie is stunning as always, still have a rocking body. I just don’t fall for the argument that you should look the same way all the time. It is good to be some what flexible, form fitting is good but not for all ocasions, loose fitting is ok sometimes. Angie is always beautiful to me. Angie loves Brad and making him happy is her priority. I remember when she was with Billybob she said that making him happy was important to her.
Angie has no-nonsense style.
Regardless of public’s opinion on her clothes, it does not lessen my great admiration for Angie. I admire her because she’s a league of her own who sets an example of not giving importance to superficialities in life like by not giving in to public pressure to be impressive in her outfits all the time. Besides, for her, she can’t be superficial as she has already witnessed a lot of unfortunate people who can’t even provide as basic as clothes for their bodies. So, she actually knows what she’s doing.
In addition, she can’t please everyone, anyway. People will always have something to say about what she wears & the kind of hairstyle she has. So she might as well just be herself like she’s always been and just please herself instead. As long as she’s satisfied based on her needs for comfort and style, she’s fine with it, nothing else matters including whether or not the people (fans, press, haters, trolls etc) like it or not. If the public whines because they hate her style, then it’s their problem, not hers.
Angelina looks wonderful. I believe that Angelina wants to be just like her Mom, a great mother. Angelina is luckier than her Mom was because Angie has Brad. They love each so much. You can see it in their body language.
What I love about Angelina is that even though she is stunning and has a fantastic figure she never dresses provocatively. Even when she was in her bad girl stage, even when she wears black leather, she never shows an inappropriate amount of cleavage, her skirts are never too short and you never see her stumbling around drunk with body parts hanging out. If anything, she seems to try very hard to be demure. I think it’s a testament to her mom raising her well that even though Angie’s had her wild days, she has learned very quickly how to be appropriate and classy as a public persona.
I think underneath it all Angelina is a very shy girl. And she does not have body issues. Would that I had her frame! She sure looks great.
I think her style has become a “classic” look. Also, she chooses simple pieces that can easily be mixed around and not to mention, one pieces are much easier to travel with. 6 kids, she has a lot on her mind and to keep up with so keeping it simple and clothes that travel well, very important. Also, I loved the fact that she looks healthier. You can see her arms are a little thicker now.

She looks absolutely beautiful in that light grey dress. It´s so sophisticated. I loved what she said about Brad. It´s obvious she´s head over heals in love with him. I don´t doubt her love for Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton but it seems to me that for the first time in her adult life she´s truly in love with a man. Brad has changed her so much. Gone are the wild days of her past. Now she´s in a committed relationship with a man she clearly adores and vice versa. And she´s also a mother of six adorable, healthy children! Most people say AJ is so beautiful & loaded with so much appeal that she can wear anything & still look fabulous. They say even for instance she wears burlap sack, she still can get away with it.

I remember Angie once said something like “you may have great s*e*x with somebody but it is not gonna work if you don’t wake up with a common purpose in life”. It is so true for her relationship with Brad. They do share the same purpose in their lives: family, humanitarian work and acting, with family being the most important.
Changeling will not be shown here in cinemas so I will have to watch it on DVD.
I like Angie a lot and I like the fact Brad is with her and she has someone to watch her back. It couldn’t have easy fighting the paps and the jealous nasty individuals who always attacked her when she was a single mom. All that tough talking of the past was her way of protecting herself amd Madd. She doesn’t need to now, Brad is there to protect them. She looks incredible and young. I agree with you here Sherry.
