Angelina Jolie back to work on the set of Salt

Angelina Jolie is such a trooper. Despite getting hurt on Friday while filming a scene for Salt, despite being taken to the hospital (and for some reason I can honestly imagine her protesting and insisting she just needed a Tylenol and five minutes to rest!), and despite sustaining a mild injury, it was reported that Angie was back on set that same day.
There’s no rest for the weary either, because Angelina Jolie was also filming this weekend. These photos were taken while she filmed today (Sunday, May 31st), and you can’t even tell she was hurt at all. I guess the cut she got on her forehead was shallow enough that they were able to easily cover it – either that or they worked it in to the story – if Evelyn Salt is on the run, she could very well have a cut on her head!

Naturally there is a lot of muttering going on from the usual downer suspects because oh my goodness, Brad Pitt was in Los Angeles at an awards show without Angelina, oh no! I’d love to know how they expect that she could have gone to L.A. with him while also filming the same weekend. As much as they like to be together at events, sometimes work gets in the way. As for the fact that Brad was in L.A. while Angelina was hurt, I don’t get the big deal. If she was in bed after falling into a coma, I’m pretty sure the awards ceremony would have gone on without Brad because he would have come straight back. But if she was well enough to go right back to work the same day she injured herself, it obviously wasn’t serious.
But what else can we count on if we can’t count on the haters getting riled up over nothing? Poor sad souls with nothing better to do than be negative!

I read somewhere that Salt was wrapping up this week.
Sherry, in the old format you were able to check a box so you would get all comments in our e-mail. Is that going to happen now? Know they are trying to work the problems out.
Mary Ann – Yes! I know how important that option is for a lot of readers so I brought it up right away to the tech team. The system that runs the site is not the same as it used to be and the plugin that allowed that option doesn’t work with the new system. One of our tech guys is hand-programming a new one and hopefully it will be back at some point this week. A lot of people across the whole network were asking for the same thing so it’s one of the top priorities.
Is there some e-mail address where I can send you something Sherry? I’ve been trying to translate an interview with a polish actor who’s been working with Angelina on the set of “Salt” and I’m sure it’s full of mistakes cause my english is far from perfect but maybe you will find it interesting, and if so, you could correct it and publish here…

Angelina has a new tattoo!

Barbara, I saw her new tatoos on her both arms at jjb 5 days ago. Those tatoos have similar 3 curvedlines(2 longer lines and one shorter line).I have a painting which has 3 souls with long curvedlines. I purchased it when I lost 3rd baby.I thought we lost that baby but his soul were with our souls forever.
And I saw Brad also got new tatoo on his right belly.

In the 2nd last photo- I think you can just about see a reddish mark on her forehead between her eyes. Could that be the cut she sustained recently?

Angelina’s accident was very minor. She even went back to work on the same day. So I don’t think it’s very shocking for her to be working this weekend and for people to be so worried about her health. Obviously head injuries shouldn’t be ignored but she would have been hospitalized or put on bed rest if her injuries were significant. The haters have just gotten ridiculous. They make the biggest deal out of the littlest thing. They should be embarrassed.
Congrats to Brad and Angie on their awards! That’s awesome! I guess since it won’t be showing till 6/21, there won’t be any youtube stuff till then. Wow! I meant to say about the tatoo. Souliejolie has a great pic of the new tattoo. It looks like a border but if you look at it…it looks like the shape of a woman or a person (actually a fairy without wings) looking over the lines…she also had the border on her back tat also. What da ya think?

Does anyone else wish Brad, David and Edward would do a film project again? And I think it would be criminal not to mention Helena Bonham Carter. I loved the chemistry of all three of them.
I am so great to heard about her was ok for working. She is pretty lady and have strong mummy in the family. Wish safe everything well for her on the movie.
Lois- I agree! Head injuries are definently nothing to play around with, and I can see why some people got a bit panicky over Angie’s injury, what with the fact that she was taken to the hospital and the Natasha Richardson tragedy earlier in the year and all.
However, obviously she wouldn’t have been relased from the hospital if she wasn’t okay (and in Natasha’s case, she went downhill very rapidly, over the course of just a few hours. Therefore, if something like that had happened to Angie, she, too, probably would have gone downhill rapidly). Also, people seem to forget that the hospital trip was more than likely just out of an abundance of caution, not because Angie was in dire straights or anything!

damn! Angie didn’t won! i haven’t got the time to watch MTV but still i’m hoping she would win the WTF or the Kiss award.. Twilight dominated the MTV Awards this year. but i don’t know i still have lots of questions about that movie that’s why i haven’t watched it up to now! i mean how come a “vampire” cried tears like us humans, you know water pouring on our eyes.. i know that thye cry but they cry blood.. that’s what i’ve read..

WINONA RYDER has no resentment towards Angelina Jolie for stealing her thunder in ‘Girl, Interrupted’.
The actress had the lead role of Susanna in the 1999 but it was relative newcomer Angelina who wowed fans and critics alike, winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her portrayal of Lisa.
She said: “I knew from the outset that whoever played Lisa was going to get all the attention. At one point they asked if I wanted to play Lisa and I said, ‘No, I want to be Susanna.’
“But there was no resentment. When it came out people almost felt bad for me. But I expected it all along. I was really happy with the film, and really proud of it.”
Winona also felt sympathy for her co-star because her talent was always overshadowed by her appearance.
She added to Empire magazine: “At the time I worked with her, she was battling her looks because she’s so beautiful. She wanted very much to be taken seriously and not just judged on her looks. And she conquered that.”
