Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt - Critics Choice Awards
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed up for the 2008 Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California on January 7th. While there, actor Darryl Lynn Hughley said that Brad and Sean Penn have done more for black people than FEMA did, and further praised Brad’s work with Make It Right.
After all the debate over his hats, I just have to say that as much as I kind of like the cap, I sure love when Brad’s without it. Also, I know some people would consider him to be looking very scruffy and wouldn’t like it as much as his cleaned-up style, but I have only one thing to say about the way he looks in these pictures - YOWZA. And Angelina looks gorgeous, as always.

I’m glad to see Brad’s cap off also- he looks good no matter what though. Love Angie, but (sorry!) do not like her hair and make up; she’s still looking much older than she really is. … I’m glad Brad received some recognition and appreciation for his efforts in New Orleans.

It is hard to tell if they gained weight or not because of the bulky clothes. They are both gorgeous though. Ross from Channel 5 asked Angie where she will be Golden Globe night, she answered, at home with the kids. Thanks Sherry. Yes so happy to see Brad’s hair again. They both looked tanned.

I watched the critics award and I have a problem understanding why the winners won, the movies are so unknown to me, specially the movie no country for old men, I don’t see the point of the movie. Best actress, I’ve never heard of the movie Julie christie was in. Seems like the critics association have no idea what a best picture is, a best actor, and best actress. So bottom line any movie where an actor is holding a gun, killing people for either revenge or some other insignificant reason. The only enjoyment I had watching for 2 painful hours is the random pointing of the camera towards Brad and Angelina period. This critics need a life, and I don’t understand what the big hype is on the movie atonement, I wouldn’t watch it even if they’re willing to pay for the ticket. So sad….

Joy, you have to watch Away From Her. It was directed (and I believe co-written) by actress Sarah Polley. The movie has been praised, and really, I find it inspiring and empowering that it was directed by a woman in her 20’s. (In fact, in many ways Sarah Polley shares Angie’s attributes; Sarah’s an activist and has a very independent streak about her.) And Julie Christie I heard was very good in it. Anyway, this past year produced a lot of great films, so, I am sure the critics were divided. Can’t really win them all :) I hope you won’t close your doors to the other films. You’re missing out on a lot of great and intelligent ones.

no country for old men was a brilliantly crafted piece of art. and daniel day lewis totally deserved that award for best actor. he should win every award imaginable for the performance.
i wanted angie to win but her competition was difficult.
they both looked amazing and when they panned to her when they were giving the award out brad had his arm around her it was just darling

Joy, all the films were independent films. I was surprised by Hairspray - AWFUL!!! And, I love musicals. Critics’ awards tend to go to “stylish artsy, storytelling” films and not based on popularity. Atonement is actually quite good though I’m not a fan of Knightley the film cinematography is AMAZING, truly stunning. Away from Her is nice but Julie Christie is a old Glamour Actress and Hollywood favorite and her performance is strong and again, she’s a Hollywood favorite/old/considered “old Hollywood” as well… hopefully that makes sense.
I too think Angelina is pregnant and in her first trimester.

Guys, I am 54 yrs old, I have seen more movies than you could imagine and I know when a movie is worth an award. I’ve have seen performances by Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Ben Kingsley in Ghandi, Sound of music and Monster where Charlize Theron played Eileen Wornos the serial killer who preyed on men. Now Charlize definitely deserved the award for that movie, not only the face change, but magnificent acting she gave. Now, as far as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, these actresses are legends. Julie Christie, she is also a legend, it’s not just acting, it’s the story, the plot, and the performance. I’ve made it a point to have knowledge of a movie before I even think of seeing them, I came from movie loving family, from Elvis, James Bond, as well as scary movies such as The Exorcist to the very first chainsaw massacre. When I saw Angelina in Ghia and girl interrupted, I said to myself, now there’s a phenomenal actress, bad, good, crazy, if an actress can play all this, she’s extremely good.

Scruffy is good but I don’t like the goatee, I like a normal stubble beard rather than a goatee. Angelina looks flawless as always. They are soooo peeeeerdy :)

Just a reminder to everyone, tonight on CBS at 8 CST is the People’s Choice Awards. Angie was nominated here for A Mighty Heart and Brad & George were nominated for best on-screen pair (or something to that affect). Hopefully we will get to see more of Brad & Angie!!!

DUDE — DAYUM! :) If Angie’s not pregnant yet, Brad’s sure as hell going to make sure that she will be anytime soon. But I really would not be surprised if she was, because even she’s said that Brad thinks pregnancy is sexy and he’s DEFINITELY more touchy-feely than usual with her in these pictures. I mean he usually rubs her back or ass and stuff, but all this leaning and whispering (check the update in JJ). DUDE.
Everytime I see them affectionate like this, I always wonder if he was ever this way with the EX. Because I really can’t remember seeing the EX and Brad like this, so I guess I’m just really happy for him because he seems so completely contented right now. Yay for contentment. :D

Although it would be great for them to be pregnant again, I don’t understand why it’s the ONLY reason these two would “lovey dovey” to each other. Am not targeting anyone, but why can’t they show love without there being a reason?

I agree with you BlessBrangelina, why can’t they just be very in tune that night. It looks like she is drinking from the same glasses everyone else is,and I don’t think she would drink if she were in the family way. They just look happy.

Their pictures say a thousand words, they might be expecting, their affections to each other are so obvious that something is going on. I hope, Ange is pregnant. Ok, so I’m a doink and can’t keep up with which award shows the actors are going to. The People’s Choice is quite boring with no one in attendance. A Mighty Heart did not win, Becoming Jane won for best Independant Film. However, Brad & George did win for best on screen match-up for Ocean’s 13. Hopefully Brad & Angie are at home having a fun birthday party for Z. Does anyone know if filming for The Changeling wrapped before the holidays?
