Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt help NOLA children
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are continuing to do good for New Orleans. On Saturday they helped to bring much-needed attention to the Children’s Health Fund for the benefit of over 46,000 children who are still displaced from their destroyed homes more than two years after the hurricanes ripped through NOLA.
Angelina Jolie spoke at a news conference saying:
“This is the largest displacement of children in my own country so I want to learn as much as possible.”
Dr. Irwin Redlener, president of CHF said that it is unacceptable that families are still living in federally issued travel trailers and other various temporary housing.
Meanwhile, Angelina said that she has seen so many children around the world who feel defeated:
The difference here, she said, is that children “are feisty, fun and full of pride. They know where they’re going and what they’re going to do. It’s that kind of spirit that will help everyone get through this.”
Brad Pitt reaffirmed that they are committed to working to help the area recover from its devastation and that the family have made New Orleans their true home base:
“We’re focused on community building. It’s not just about homes. It’s not just about building. It’s about the lack of focus on education and health care too.”

no wonder brangelina are so much blessed - because they love doing good deeds.
andrea, i don’t think there’s anything we can do about the whole pap followng around the kids and so does brad and angie but i’m sure they are doing their best to protect their kids. and besides, what made you sure that pax was afraid of the cam? maybe he was just afraid of riding a bicycle?? or whatever, right?
anyway, merry christmas :)

It’s hard to believe the destruction from hurricane Katrina has still not yet been fully addressed. Unhealthy and desperate conditions continue to persist as they do in third world countries; no one would expect this to happen here, in the US. I can’t say enough about Brad and Angelina, and their arduous work and effort to bring this to the forefront. Their generosity, compassion, and kindness exemplify the true meaning of Christmas. They can simply stay home to enjoy their lives, their wealth and their fortune; but they choose to help.

I’m glad that Brad & Ange are pointing the real problems in NOLA, the displacement of children & their families because of Katrina, what a shame that we are one of the richest countries in the world & yet we can’t even provide a decent education & housing to the victims of Katrina specially the children. Brad & Ange the world are listening & the whole country are listening, I’m glad you are using your celebrity status in a very positive way. More power to you both. God bless.

Brad and Angie are indeed role models to all celebrities in HW. Both of them have beauty inside and out. Hoping they will have a joyous Christmas with their family in NOLA and the paps to give them a break.

I didn’t see any news channel cover this. Shame on them if it’s a deliberate oversight.
Especially in the light of NOLA town council voting unanimously to tear houses previously owned by low income people and rebuild houses mixed income houses that propbably only half the previous residents can afford.

You are right, it may be deliberate, because the news covers events that are relevant, and Brad and Angelina no longer holds the worlds interest. When they first began the relationship, everything they did, was earth shattering news. However, now, they are only mentioned as an afterthought, flashed briefly, and forgotten even more briefly. It is almost beyond belief that they have fallen so far and in such a short period of time. Will Karma ever cease with these two, it is no longer funny just very very sad.

Just to comment on Angela’s comment to me, Brad had said many times his kids are very afraid of the cameras in there face and paps callling out there names, he looks afraid I am sure if he was sfraid of the bike ride they would have had left him at home, , so that is where I get my info from!!!! I like there acting and kindness to other people and everything THEY do I am not going to obsess over there kids!!!!!!

Now there’s no doubt that Brad has found his soul mate…someone who can truly inspire his need to make a difference in this world…and the same can be said vice versa with Angelina…They both left their do nothing lives behind to bond and fulfill their intertwined destinies of love, compassion and saving grace.
