Angelina Jolie gets a visit from Pax

by Sherry on November 7th, 2007

Angelina Jolie and Pax on set of The Changeling Angelina Jolie and Pax on set of The Changeling

Angelina Jolie had another on-set visitor while she was filming The Changeling. This time however, it wasn’t Brad Pitt, though it was indeed someone of the male variety - Pax came to visit Angelina on set! Remember how shy and tiny he looked when she adopted him? He looks like he’s gotten used to his new family and has adjusted quite well, running around on the set, looking as cute as a button, and being carried around by Momgelina.

He is an absolute sweetheart, and what a special treat that he got to go see his mom at work. I bet that made his day AND hers! More below the cut!

My, he looks like he’s grown quite a bit! Definitely rocking the cool look as well as his dad’s famous gait.

Thanks Sherry. That teaser of being the first to post was too tempting! Now I know why people get a high when they’re the first at JJ.

AWWW HE LOOKS SO CUTE, AND (CALL ME CRAZY) BUT HE DOES HAVE KIND OF A BRAD PITT LOOK!! DONT YOU THINK!?

    Nov 7, 2007 at 12:30 pm

Yeah! I guess I’ll be first. Pax is such a cutie pie and yep, looks like he’s right at home. It’s funny but now, when I look at older pics when it was just Madd and Zee, I feel like something is missing. I can’t imagine life without either of the four kids. Angie and Brad were truly meant to meet and fall in love, and this family was meant to exist.
Did you guys hear about their Halloween costumes? Daddy (Angie’s words) was a Stormtrooper, Angie was Curious George, Maddie was Boba Fett, Pax was a monkey (big surprise!LOL), Zee was a bunny, and they couldn’t figure out if Shi was a bunny or a monkey, so she was a “bunkey”,LOL. How cute!
    Love, love,love BAMPZS always.
    Thanks Sherry!!!

Pax has longer hair now. I like his look with a bit longer hair. Yeah agree, he has Daddy’s attitude.

Maybe Angi brought him on set, because the other family members prepare his birthday?

Thank you again Sherry for this site. I also look at the pictures on TMZ each day and never ever read the comments, but today I decided to read the comments about Pax’s picture. Never Never again will I do that. Those people are mean and hurtful. I can’t believe that people make remarks about children that are so mean spirited. And guess there is no such thing as “under moderation” at that site.
Any way happy to see Pax and he is so cute. Wonder what he thinks about Angie’s wig and style of clothing.

Pax is really cute and how much he has grown since he joined his family!
Thank you Sherry for this site. It is such a pleasure to see all the wonderful photos of the Joile-Pitts and the positive comments from the fans. Like Mary Ann I made the mistake of reading some of the comments in other sites before, and was shocked at the venom and animosity of the posts. What disturbed me most were the negative and hurtful comments about the children. I just can not help thinking how cruel those people are.
Keep up the good work, Sherry, and to all the wonderful fans visiting this site, God bless!

Pax seems has now adjusted to his new home. He will be turning 4 soon, his parents are busy preparing his birthday party, his first with his sisters, brother & daddy & mommy around. He is such a cutie & adorable boy. What a very lucky boy, I’m glad Brad & Angie found him & given him wonderful family & love. He has a bright future ahead. Love the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Sherry you are awesome. You have larger photos of Pax than the JJ site. I do miss all the kids but I am sure Brad is keeping them busy with love and nurture. How lucky are those kids to have Brad and Angie. BTW, Irma and Mary Ann I can join your “club” of “Hindi pa kami laos” more mature women group when we are ready to attend one of the premieres. Let me know and I will get my friend Sonya to make a catchy poster for us. She is a graphic artist from UST but beware she is a JA fan too. I just love to tease her. Regards to all JP fans. Do not read TMZ comments and some of JJ’s. Some of those comments are too cruel, rude and nasty especially to Angie.

Brad and Angie are humanitarians because they’ve seen the other side of things by working intimatelly with other cultures through their movies, so I don’t think its fake at all, another thing is that people don’t really care or appreciate being a humanitarian, we are stuck in our own little world. ppl on a celebrity and millionaire dating site called (Millionairematch.com/photo/bloger) are talking about you.

Kim, It was a recent interview that Angie did (USA Today, I think) on her press tour for Beowulf. It was posted on another site and I printed it. It was a legit interview where she called Brad “Daddy” -swooon!- and what I printed above were her own words. I would have loved to see those pics. They had a wild animal/ Starwars theme going on, LOL.
I agree with all you fans, Pax also now has Brad’s gait and confidence (with Mommy’s help, of course) along with Mad.

With the kids being in the hands of Daddy Pitt, it is obvious he knows his turf and ALSO how to give the papz the slip!!! From the very beginning, I found PAX to be such a soft, senstive being…he was a shining light in the pictures from the orphanage…Angie recognized his spirit and asked him to come home with them. That alone is a beautiful love story! As someone so wisely always posts: God Bless the Jolie-Pitts!

Lucy, I’m for that “Hindi Pa Kami Laos club”. That’s really neat. Pax is happy to be on the set of his mommy. Who is that guy in blue, is that one of their body Guards? When are they going to bring out the rest of the gangs? I miss the girls. Daddy Pitt knows how to hide them from the papz. I miss seeing the whole family together. I love looking at Brad & Angie’s pictures on the red carpet. Love the Jolie-Pitt’s. Got to go, goodnight to all, have to watch my g-son, he is here with me, he has no babysitter tomorrow & I’m off from work to watch him. I love & enjoy it.

Mary Ann, I followed up your comment in the Trailer for Wanted thread.

  • ligaya
    Nov 8, 2007 at 6:26 pm

Those comments are just a taste of how vile people are against Angelina & anything/anybody connected to her - including her children. I started on the imdb boards - Angelina, A Mighty Heart, Beowulf, Wanted - and I was driven away by the cesspool of vileness. Everywhere I read, even legitimate news sources, 90% of the comments are lies & disinformation. There’s a real propaganda campaign against Angelina.

That’s why I’m such a strong supporter. I’m kind of a one-woman truth squad - I feel strongly about not letting the lies masquerade as truth. I don’t care if people think Angelina is odious, that’s fine. Just don’t spread lies and pollute the atmosphere so her message about refugees, human rights, and social justice is clouded.

  • anamanzana
    Nov 8, 2007 at 7:14 pm

Ligaya; Now that’s food for thought: a propaganda campaign against AJ? Driven by whom? For what purpose? I believe that she pushes so many buttons because of her outspoken ways, and belief in truth and freedom….please tell me more about why you’d phrase it that way.

People are full of jealousy & envy to these 2 lovely couple, they should just leave them alone & let them be happy as a family. The Tabloids have to think about the kids that will suffer if Brad & Angie break up. Tabloids are notorious when it comes to them, writing lies, I’m glad they don’t pay attention to these tabloids, tabloids are trashy news. Their stories are made up & far from the truth. If I were Brad & Angie, I will sue them.
Goodnight to all the fans. Sweet dreams. See you all again tomorrow.

    Beowulf premiere videos

Angelina Jolie had a lot to say about how much fun it was pretending to be a lizard-like critter with a tail in “Beowulf” at the films premiere this week. Despite the high tech aspects of the film, she describes the set as “getting back to your roots” as an actor. And her favorite scene was… the seduction scene, naturally. Watch my interview with Angelina here: Download angelina_jolie.mov

Neil Gaiman and John Malkovich talk sex, dragons and cannibalism

John Malkovich compares acting in the high tech fantasy film - “Beowulf” - to doing a rehearsal for a play. But he doesn’t remember there being as much sex in the version of the classic Beowulf he studied in school.

On the other hand, Neil Gaiman, who adapted the screenplay with Roger Avery, insists that headmasters have been secretly cutting Angelina Jolie out of “Beowulf” for years.

from latimesgoldderby.com: “now that “Beowulf” is in, it looks like a good bet to be included among the three nominees for best animated feature.”

Promo around the DVD release of “A Mighty Heart” helps Angelina Jolie arrive on the best-actress list.

“After a beautiful screening of ‘A Mighty Heart’ for 500 SAG Nominating Committee and SAG members on the Paramount lot, Angie received a standing ovation as she took the stage for her Q and A and then again after speaking about portraying Marianne Pearl for 40 minutes with moderator Pete Hammond. She then joined the 500 guests for a reception in the theater lobby, enjoyed a glass of wine and has been chatting with guests for the last 30 minutes.”

Here’s Pete’s report to us about Angie: “She was great. This is the second time I have done this sort of interview with her and quite frankly she always makes you feel like it’s the first time she’s talked about this. Totally genuine, even getting emotional at a couple of points when talking about Marianne Pearl (who she plays) and her young son Adam. The crowd at Paramount definitely loved her and it seemed to me it was virtually at capacity, impressive since they put this screening together in less than a week’s time.”

Pax is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up, he is going to turn out to be a goodlooking man…..maddox is also going to be handsome, but he seems very calm and shy every time even though if he got used to the papz..i think that maddox is going to be a kind of a scientist…he will not become an actor like his parents…don’t u agree with me guys?

  • irma
    Nov 9, 2007 at 7:58 am

I agree that both Pax & Mad are already handsome but with different personality, you can tell that Mad is into books, very shy while Pax is very outgoing, he is one happy fellow. I know Pax b-day is this month but not really sure the exact date. They will probably have big birthday celebration for him, his first as Jolie-Pitt. Mommy & Daddy will make sure he will enjoy & it will last in his memory his 4th b-day party. These kids are very lucky to have 2 adoring & loving parents. God bless them all.

Congratulations to Angie on the IRC Freedom award. The news media have not given it any coverage but it is a great honor. Former Pres. Bush and Clinton rec’d it last year. One of Angies favorite historians Winston Churchill also won this award. She continues to do great things with Brad as her partner and his support. He is a good man.

    ONLY IN HOLLYWOOD
    Angelina Jolie opens up

    By Ruben V. Nepales
    Inquirer
Last updated 00:19am (Mla time) 11/10/2007

LOS ANGELES, California—“Isn’t that always the rumor?,” quips Angelina on reports that she’s pregnant. “I am not at the moment,” the actress declared. “But, I’m beginning to find it funny how often that’s written about in the press.”

Beautiful as usual in a black blouse and gray slacks, the much-admired humanitarian added, “You should have seen me at 6 o’clock this morning, with everybody in bed and me wondering how I was going to get up to get here!”

    Topics

In a recent press con, Angelina talked about a wide array of topics—including her desire to do fewer movies so she can have more time to be with her family that includes Brad Pitt; Maddox, 6; Pax Thien, 3; Zahara Marley, 2, and Shiloh Nouvel, 1.

Life has been so hectic for Angelina that for her, to have “better life experiences” means “being home a little more often.”

Jolie stars as a mother and monster in “Beowulf,” director Robert Zemeckis’ movie version of the oldest surviving poem in the English language. Using the groundbreaking performance-capture technology he introduced in “Polar Express,” Zemeckis has crafted a visually stunning film that also stars Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson and Alison Lohman. Excerpts from our interview:

What is involved in performance-capture technology?
You spend a few days getting mapped so the computers will know your face. You do 60 different expressions. They also map your body. Then, when you shoot, you get to be in a jumpsuit. There are balls on your head. You look goofy and so does everybody so, it makes us feel very close. It’s not sexy at all (laughter)!
It was a lot of fun! I haven’t seen the full film, but when I saw my scenes, I was very surprised. I called home to say that I wasn’t sure my 6-year-old can see the movie, because it was more than I expected!

    Realistic

It was quite realistic. I thought it might be fun for the eldest of my sons to see—but it’s not! It’s too mature—it’s for older audiences because it’s more violent and sexual.

You play a seductress. Have you been seduced in real life?
I’m sure I’ve been seduced in my life! Probably I shouldn’t start talking about it (laughter).

“Beowulf” was written centuries ago. Yet, it’s still valuable today. What do you make of the story?

The poem has a lot of layers. I always saw it as a tale about people who would sacrifice or sell their souls to the devil to get fame or power—and what a horrible trap that is!

I was raised to believe in hard work. At the end of the day, you sleep well because of what you’ve accomplished. So, the idea of getting something for nothing has never appealed to me.

How excited were you to work with Zemeckis and to play this role?
Bob Zemeckis has an amazing reputation as an innovative filmmaker. I knew this character was the mother and the monster and that’s always a great role (laughing)!

    Activist

You’re a mother, a movie star, and a political activist. How do you manage to do these things so well?

It involves proper scheduling. Obviously, my priorities are my children. They are growing up. I’ll be doing even less work, because that’s what I prefer to do.

As for political activism, I’ve been educating myself on things that are happening around the world. It’s a privilege to be able to do it. I feel motivated to say or do something because I’m in a position to do so.

In what order of importance do you rank your roles as mom, humanitarian and actress?
I’m a mom first. I don’t know if I’m as much an ambassador as I’m a citizen of the world. I just want to learn about the world and its cultures. Lastly, I’m an actress.

    Close calls

You’re also a brave woman who goes to some dangerous places. Have you had close calls?
Yes, I’ve had close calls. I’ve been in countries where people tried to take my passport—where I’ve had to hide in a room, because there were people outside who were dangerous.

Last time we talked, you said you were looking forward to aging.
Age is beautiful. My mother was beautiful. She was 58 when she passed away. I have a family that loves me as I am. I see little bits of me in my daughter—so that’s beauty to me. Honesty is also beauty.

Tell us about your other upcoming movie, “Wanted.”
“Wanted” is a fun, action movie. When my mom passed away, I wanted to do something physical to get me out of my head. I wanted to do that because I was in a place where I wasn’t capable of getting up in the morning. So I needed something that would force me to be active!

Are you involved with Brad’s production company?
We shouldn’t mix business and pleasure (laughing). We came together for “A Mighty Heart.” He produced it. We’re now working together on a project. We have our separate companies, but we run everything by each other.

In Toronto, Brad told us that you are his love, his partner and the mother of his children. How would you describe him?
Can I steal his (laughing)? I’d say he’s my love, my dearest friend and—the father of my children.

    Language

He told us that you spoke good French. What language is spoken in your house?
We’re all trying to master French in the house. It has been quite funny. Our 6-year-old kid is doing his best. He goes to a French school, and he corrects me all the time! Somebody in the house speaks Vietnamese. Our 2-year-old is now starting to speak Vietnamese. We have language craziness in our house! I’d like our children to speak the language of their land.

Do you believe in the American school system?
I don’t want to be misinterpreted as being against American schools. My kids come from different backgrounds, and I want to make sure that they’re getting a broad view of history and of the world.

This might be an unusual thing to say, but my son is going to learn about the Vietnam War at some point. He will learn about whether or not we were in Cambodia and what America’s involvement was.

Have you adjusted to the constant presence of the paparazzi in your life?
Certainly, with the children, it’s a difficult thing. It limits what we can do. We try to make their lives full whenever possible. We look for places with freedom.

    Pictures

When it comes to the cameras, we make sure the children aren’t scared of them, so we say, “They’re just silly people who take pictures—aren’t they crazy?” How could you possibly explain something that there’s no good explanation for?

You’ve done a documentary about different places in the world. How difficult is it to observe people when everybody’s observing you?
When I was younger, my favorite thing was to be on the subway—to just be myself and watch people. I miss that. The documentary I did was for high school kids. We sent people with cameras to different parts of the world. I went to Niger where I was with the Tuaregs. They didn’t know who I was. They don’t believe in gossip! I enjoyed my privacy there.

If you were reborn, would you like to be Angelina Jolie with Brad Pitt again, or a powerful, sexy woman?
Can’t I be both (laughing)? Honestly, I’d like to be a pilot and a painter.

It’s got new stuff including: what languages the JPs speak at home; Beowulf’s meaning for her; why she did Wanted; Brad’s Plan B; what order of importance she ranks her roles as mom, humanitarian and actress; what she tells the kids about the paparazzi; aging; close calls; how she’d describe Brad; her belief in the American school system; and who she’d like to be if reborn.

Anamanzana, good questions that deserve thoughtful answers. I’ll have to do that in dribs & drabs because I just started 2 new projects that unfortunately will interfere with living my life through Angelina & Brad 24/7 ;-) .

I’ve started Weight Watchers again, and that involves a lot of work - reading, writing, prepping, exercising, meetings, etc. And my son & his girlfriend are members of the striking Writers Guild of America. I’m in charge of keeping family/friends/fans updated and correcting the misinformation & disinformation out there.

In the meantime, I suggest you check the raw data from the following sites, and see if they answer your questions: jezebel.com (search for Midweek Madness - their weekly comparison of tabloid magazines, last time I checked it went back a year; compare # negative/positive stories, recycled stories/themes, if there’s a pattern).

Also, imdb.com (pages: Angelina & AMH are the ones I’ve checked most often, but also check Beowulf & Wanted). On the AMH page, check the users comment both chronological (most recent on top) and “h8ed” category. It looks like imdb deleted pages & pages of AMH threads – you can check each thread or only those with negative subjects; Ruthlilycat is prolific, she only has 1 thread now, but she used to have gazillions. Also, justjared.com – jared himself is friendly, but I stopped reading the boards because they made me sick. Popsugar.com takes an even-handed approach, but it’s war on the boards, and the mods often have to remind posters to be civil. My local paper, the San Francisco Chronicle, runs a gossip column called “Daily Dish” on its website sfgate.com (search for Angelina Jolie to check out comments).

Perezhilton.com & TMZ have both been snarky & misleading, although they’ve been better lately – but I refuse to tread their boards anymore. Then there are those out & out black ops blogs like National Ledger, Defamer, etc.

Ligaya, I also have been thinking of the questions I posed…very deep and could get a little rough for this forum. Email me if you wish: ana@exitsantafe.com

I know Angie said several months ago she was going to take at least a year off and just be a Mom. When was that supposed to start?

  • ligaya
    Nov 10, 2007 at 4:35 pm

Lori, did you miss the 2 times I answered this same question in 2 different threads before? Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.

In Cannes interviews, Angelina said that after Cannes, she had 2 monhs work on Wanted, 2 months off on family vacation, and 2 months work on Changeling. So I guess whenever Changeling ends shooting.

    Nov 10, 2007 at 4:43 pm

ligaya, yes I did miss it before but frankly since I try to tune you out for I find you quite comical, it may have been a subconscious thing. Sorry about that. Thanks for answering again. I am going to see Changeling for I think it will be a good film and love the clothes she is wearing from that era.

I also said not to expect Angie to drop off the face of the earth in 2008, because while she isn’t going to make any new movies, she still has other responsibilities: doing press & promoting Wanted & Changeling, accompanying Brad on RC events, UN Goodwill Ambassador field missions & meetings, Council on Foreign Relations, etc. And if Prague & NYC are any indication, we might see her when she drops the kids off at school.

I apologize to everyone for (kinda) quintuple-posting. Half the time my posts are moderated, I just wait. The other half when I think there’s a time factor to consider, i try re-posting by shortening my posts and sometimes changing the wording. Hence the multiple-posts. Sorry.

Anamanzana, thanks for your invitation, I’ll take you up on it another time. Like I said, I’ve just started a couple of projects (Weight Watchers & Writers Guild of America newsletter for my son’s fans) each of which are going to cut into the time I’m living through Angelina & Brad. :-)
