Angelina Jolie is just a normal person

She might be arguably one of the biggest celebrities in the world, but if you ask her, Angelina Jolie says she’s just a normal person like anyone else.
The article is more than likely one that uses bits and pieces of sound bites from other interviews – it’s fairly common for that to happen, especially when a celebrity is doing a lot of different brief interview segments and press junkets, we’ve seen it happen before with both Brad Pitt and Angelina. I don’t know where the different parts of this article come from originally but it’s fun to read.
When it comes to her family life, Angelina says, “I am just a dedicated mother and really quite normal. I dedicate my free time to my United Nations work; I have a sincere interest in social issues. At the same time, my main focus is on my children. I want to be with them for the big moments in their lives.”
She also explains why all the negativity in the tabloids doesn’t really bother her: “I don’t ask for all this tabloid attention, so I never read what they write about us. I have a family to take care of. I don’t even go out that much, I travel and do a film and that’s about it so I don’t understand why people want to know more about our lives.”
While the fans (like us!) get annoyed or outraged over false stories, Angelina basically just shrugs off what the rags are speculating. It’s not the first time I’ve heard that, which is why I feel this article is really just pieced together from older interviews. It’s still a good reminder though. There’s no point in getting bent out of shape when the cheap tabloids make up their dramatic “insider” stories and their soap-opera-worthy headlines because not even Brad or Angelina bother to waste their time on them.
It’s funny that so many people are so fascinated by Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and the Jolie-Pitt kids – and the life they lead – but they still consider themselves to be plain old, every day people who love each other, love their kids, and try to do some good in the world.

This is why I laugh at some of the headlines I read in the supermarket line. It just so ridiculous, and they (B&A) don’t even pay attention to it. And it probably doesn’t bother their friends and family anymore because unlike 5-10 years ago we all now know the magazines and news papers just make stuff up even ones that are supposed to be real news mag’s. Come to think of it, it makes you wonder where they get there information about really important things like politics and world events.
I really wish everyone would go on a tabloid strike…especially since 90% of the stuff written is crap. I always turn the magazines around so people don’t stand in line and read the front covers. Hee hee Especially when my favorite family is on the cover. :] So if your in a grocery store and you see some of them backwards you know I’ve been there ha ha

Angie has her own way of speaking style and this is not her way.
I think the writer digested Angie’s several past interviews and wrote her/his perception of Angie.
About tabloids. HW industry and US gossip media work together and gossip media’s principle is avoiding the truth. Like drugs tabloids supply the escape from people’s reality. It’s not only Angie& Brad but also every successful people have haters. I don’t get why US people are obsessed by tabloids and gossip media. People in Japan talk about politics and politicians or other things rather than celebs.
Tabloids are a pest and sometimes it makes me wonder where did they get all this false stories, and they always have this funny pattern when it comes to the JP’s.. it usually goes like this:
1. their dating someone else.. (usually link to Billy Bob or JA)
2. their separating (either Angie kick Brad out of bed or Brad can’t take it anymore so that’s it!)
3. their not actually separating but instead, their getting Married! (like when Brad gave the “marriage ultimatum” issue)
4. nope! that’s not it, Angie’s pregnant! (and they would all say: AGAIN?! it’s like Angie getting pregnant is the worst case of all)
5. no she’s not pregnant, their Adopting (they would say: When will they stop?)
6. then they would write the thin and sick issue of Angie.. oh well,
7. last would be, the kids are worst, they are fighting, and their sick! (dunno where they get this)
really.. if you see and read this, all i can say is, those who knew (who really knew them) the jolie-pitt’s are those people who talks good about them.. that’s it. period!

kimmy- Exactly! What really makes me laugh is when one tab is claiming, for example that they’ve split up…while the one right next to it is claiming that Angie’s pregnant again (a few months ago, there was even an incidence where several tabs were claiming they were splitting…while another was claiming they were getting married. That really takes the cake, IMO!).
I don’t get where they come up with the kids being sick (or being generally unhealthy because of their “horrible” diet)…especially since we can very easily see, or use common sense to figure out, that that isn’t the case. The older kids look completely healthy and to be of normal weight (in fact, Zahara actually has a very slender figure!), and Angie and Brad obviously wouldn’t have taken the twins to Kenya if they were sickly like the tabs have claimed (plus it was mentioned in the PEOPLE article about the twins’ first birthday that they are both walking and “keeping their parents and older siblings on their toes”)!
Stacey, maybe you have started a new trend for us Pittwatchers. We will all turn over the magazines that the Jolie-Pitt lies are in. So I guess that would be everyone except People.
