Angelina Jolie is thinking style for upcoming premieres
It’s been an eternity since we’ve seen Angelina Jolie. We last saw her in the People and Hello spreads with Brad Pitt, and the Jolie-Pitt kids to show us the new twins. Prior to that, we haven’t seen her since Cannes, and it feels like forever.
Now, on the one hand, I’m so glad that she’s been able to take a breather, and that she’s had some nice quiet time with her kids. It’s exhausting to be a mother and when you’re being a mother to twins on top of four other kids, it must be insanely hectic. Angelina deserves this time with her family - and with X17online reporting that Brad flew straight back to France ASAP, it seems he wants as much time with his family as possible (granted there are myriad rumors as to the “real” reason Brad hurried back, everything from jealousy to post-partum depression, but I truly think they just wanted to get back together again - they’re not used to being away from each other for very long!).
On the other hand, I miss seeing Angelina Jolie as much as any fan. It feels like forever since we saw her all glammed up on the red carpet at Cannes.
The good news is that we won’t have to wait much longer. Angelina Jolie has her press junket for Changeling later this month and the the actual premiere on October 4th.
Her stylist, Jen Rade spoke to People about how they’ve been talking about what she’ll wear for the events. Rade said it’s sometimes complicated on the phone with Angie because there are lots of kid noises in the background, but that she’s always got time to talk about it. She also said that she feels a bit of pressure to make sure Angelina looks good for her first appearance since the birth of Knox and Vivienne, but five years together have given her enough confidence to not worry too much.
As for whether there are any problems finding something perfect for her post-pregnancy, Rade said no - “Not really. She’s breastfeeding so the boobs are bigger, but no. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it.”
She also said that she’s a fantastic mother: “She loves it - or else she wouldn’t do it.”
I can’t wait to see what she wears! I also feel like this somehow puts the PPD rumors to rest. First of all, it ticks me off that people are splashing it across the tabloids like it’s something really rare, as though she’s a serial killer - a lot of women suffer from PPD and it isn’t anything to be ashamed of. However, if she was really going through a total downward spiral, I really don’t think she’d be busily planning her wardrobe for some public appearances. Honestly? If she had severe PPD she likely wouldn’t give a damn what she wore at all and would not be bothering to be on the phone with her stylist about it.
In other Angelina Jolie news, she sure looks gorgeous on the cover of Japan’s Elle magazine. Inside she says, “I have become a lot stronger than I used to be, although it is strange to say myselfI think I have become a better woman. I am maturing everyday.” She also refers to her life with her large family as manic (no kidding!) but also the best time of her life: “Even though everyday is really busy looking after the kids. I feel like I have found the calmest place in life. Brad and I have always wanted to live surrounded by children. If the children are happy then everything else is fine. What Brad and I always prioritize is the family’s future and we balance that with our work.”

Yay Angie. She is the woman and she is nesting. This is great news for fans that she is nesting but still considering future events. It is so nice that she has had this time to enjoy her family, but she is still thinking about future projects. Stuff it tabloids, she is not suffering, she is enjoying her family time. She will return major big time and make them all eat crow. You go girl!

Angie rules. She manages her life on her terms and the he*ll with what the tabloids think. She manages her life without concerns and I love her for it. She is real and alive to her goals.

The coming back will be big, I’m sure. The clothes will certainly be very well chosen and gorgeous, as usual. I am also thinking about a change of style, maybe. She is now in a different stage of her life. I don’t know…just a guess…

It’s gonna be pandemonium tripled when she finally makes her RC appearance. Imagine all the anticipation we are experiencing from not seeing her for some time now–what more with the fans who will be lucky enough to see her in person! I love how she does her own thing and lives her life on her own terms. She is one confident woman in command of her life and destiny! What an inspiration she is.

Angie will appear in public when it is right for her. She is enjoying just being a mom now. As for her and Brad, things must be great because it shows in him. When they had problems in the past, you could see it in his looks and actions. He seems on top of the world now.

I’ve a lot of reading to catch up on again.
I wasn’t aware that tabs and naysayers were assuming that Angie might have PPD. I thought that because we haven’t had a glimpse of her, her naysayers would lay off saying, “I thought she said she would take a break” or “She should stay at home and take care of the kids like other normal moms.” Alas, they’ve found something else to criticize her about. Angie just can’t win with them. I agree … why does the media have to portray PPD as such a big stigma? Clearly, no woman would want to endure it, but some do, and it’s nothing shameful.
Even when Angie’s taking some respite from the public eye, her detractors still find a way to pound her in the mud.

Just visited JJ and some comments were very harsh on Brad Pitt thread. If Angie has PPD, it’s probably very mild. She doesn’t have time to introspect as a busy mom and I’m sure she’s getting a lot of support, physical and emotional. She’ll probably do an interview (via People or VF) to promote Changeling end of September. She may or may not show up for premiere October 3(?). It takes at least 3 months to wean breastfeeding and the twins have to fly with her to U.S. if she does. That means Brad and kids have to tag along. Don’t know if they’re up for that. And then tabloids will start spinning more stories re: PPD and Brad and her. I don’t think Angie and Brad care; their primary concern is their kids.

Thanks for the extensive “catch-up.” It seems we’ve heard so little of her except for the trash in the tabloids. As a mother of twins, I know how hard the first few months really are. God Bless all the Jolie-Pitts!

While I miss seeing Angie too, I can understand it if she wants to just lay low for a while and be with the family. Still it would be nice to see her when Changeling premieres.
Too bad tabs always has to put a spin, almost always negative, on the stuff they write about this family. I try to avoid reading them, so as not to get irritated, but they can really be too much. That’s why I’m really glad for fan sites like PW and Bradpittwatch.

I’ve been checking the net to find any news about the Brange. Thanks Sherry. Now don’t get mad at me fans… But I really hope she is done with her “black faze”. She just looks so amazing in color. I just could not stop looking at her in that green dress. I’m sure Brad was really ancious to get back to his family after TIFF.
ON another note, I realized that Angie really has taken a great deal of time off since the babies. she worked last in 2007 I believe. That has been about a year or more. Well I really want to see or and Brad EAT UP THE CARPET as only they can do. When they are not around, all the other celeb news is so Boring… Well I will be movies after work on Friday.

We all wait for this moment. One of the reason I like them is they project an authentic image of themself. She doesn’t need to make public appearance from time to time to maintain interest in her, or to show the people that she’s not suffering PPD. She does a charity work because it’s the right thing to do.
What she said in Elle magazine is very nice. It’s proved that she’s now a very well balanced person and really knows what she wants in life.

I’m really looking forward to the premiere events of the Changeling. I’m sure Angie will look amazing. I have to say Angie looks best when she is a few months pregnant as pregnancy makes she look fuller and sexier. Hope to see Brad accompanying Angie on the RC.

I think the whole family will accompany Angelina to New York at the end of this month. Maybe they’ll stay in the same place they did last year over the summer. The Changeling premiere in NYC is on October 4, when the twins will be almost 3 months old. Maybe she will do some interviews as well. I hope so. It’s nice to see pictures but the nicest is reading Angelina or Brad’s words. They’re always interesting, and when they talk of each other and the children, full of love.

Japan Elle has Entertaintment Weekly interview which was given at Cannes FF. Wanted will be released later this month in Japan. She is very popular in Japan and has been the top of almost every movie magazine’s popularity contest.
