Angelina Jolie Pregnancy RumorWatch 2007
I was flooded with at least 25 emails about this and I didn’t write about it because so far there are no reputable American sources (such as People, for example), but let’s talk about it because speculating is fun sometimes!
According to an Italian newspaper, Angelina Jolie is pregnant with her second biological child, and her fifth child overall. This rumor came about because she cancelled a lecture she was supposed to give via United Nations at the Pio Manzu center near Rimini in Italy. The official reason on record was “due to personal reasons” but according to the newspaper she actually had to cancel because of discovering she is pregnant.
A spokeswoman for the Pio Manzu center, Letizia Manjani, played coy by responding with, “Angelina cancelled last week. Due to her privacy I can’t confirm her pregnancy, but I can say that the Italian newspapers are correct in their reports.” Which, you know, is basically her confirming it.
I don’t know if it’s true or not. Although it makes sense to have an Italian newspaper announcing it because the event Angelina was to attend is in that country, it seems odd to me that not one single official source in the United States has confirmed it yet. Then again, maybe Brad Pitt and Angelina aren’t talking yet. I know a lot of people prefer to not announce a pregnancy until the second trimester just because of the lowered risk of a miscarriage by that point, so maybe that’s why it’s still being kept quiet. Or maybe Angelina had some other unrelated reason for having to cancel the lecture and someone decided it must be due to pregnancy and she’s not pregnant at all.
We won’t know until it’s officially confirmed, but we do know that they wanted more children, we do know that Angelina’s filming duties are slowly wrapping up for the near future, and it would be perfect timing to take some maternity time.

Well someone has to be first so I guess it is me.
I doubt that she would tell someone in Italy, I hope it is true because I would love to see them have another child of their own. Right now I am glad they are having some quiet time from the paps, but I miss seeing the children’s pictures.

I just don’t think she’d cancel an appearence at this point due to pregnacy. Most likely because she’s in the middle of filming a movie. And why would she tell them that?

In her interview with Diane Sawyer she indicated the next child would be adopted, and that she is on the pill. She certainly does not show any sign of pregnancy if anything she seems thinner then ever.

She had that interview right during or after Shiloh and that is why they adopted Pax. Brad stated recently that they were ready but he nor Angie has mentioned whether it will be by adoption or natural. I personally believe that it will be natural since they may want mother nature to determine the balance of the sexes before they adopt again and I believe the baby will be someone to compliment Zahara.
Since the rumor is coming from an agency associated with her UN work, it could possibly be true. Remember she announced her first pregnancy with Yele Haiti rep so maybe this is a easy way to put reveal but not reveal.
I am on a caffeine high so I may seem a little anxious about it all but I just love it when babies are in the air…

I hope this gossip is true,for once.Angie and Brad have said they wanted another biological child (a boy) as well as more adopted children,and it seems to me from what I have been hearing is that they have been giving each other some alone time.I hope we get to hear the real truth soon.

I think she may be…. if you look at the latest pap photos with her in the black suit(journalist award) she is covering her abdomen with her hands… She does look very skinny but she may be in her 1st trimester and not be showing like her last pregnancy… she hid it for a while. I hope the news is true. Brad would love a BOY!

I for one wish that she is. Even hoping for twin boys! One that looks like Brad (can’t have enough of those)and one that looks like Angie since Shi looks a lot more like Brad right now.
She might look kind of flat right now but some women don’t really show till way into the second tri.

I certainly would be happy if they were pregnant, but I don’t think so. They both have pretty full plates right now. When Angie finishes working, Brad begins. Four little ones to manage is plenty. But if they are pregant God Bless them.

Eh, I just think she cancelled for some reason, and someone figured it was because of pregnancy. Personally, I think that’s a lame excuse. She worked through all kinds of things when she was pregnant last time. I can’t see her using it as an excuse for not being able to do anything, really.
It’s more likely she had a scheduling conflict or wanted to spend time with her kids.

To those who make the distinction between their biological child and their adopted children - they are all “their own.”
As much as I enjoy seeing pictures of this lovely family out and about, I too am happy that they’re out of sight of the paps.

susan, she did the Diane Sawyer last december, so the next child was adopted, when she brought home Pax in February.
i dont know what to think. she was also very slim during the first few months of her pregnancy with Shiloh, and Brad did recently say they were ready for #5. it would be wonderful if she is.

Hi Mary Ann. All of Angelina and Brad’s children are ‘their own’, regardless of whether they share biology or not. It’s just not proper adoption language to imply that somehow the children she gave birth to are more hers than the ones she adopted. And as children that were adopted grow up they will continue to hear this, and that often leads to questioning their position in the family. Sorry to sound so strident, but I feel like I would be doing my adopted daughter a disservice by not telling everyone that she certainly is “my own”. PS: I would also like to see them have another biological child, and more adoptions too :)

Actually, I read an interview James Haven, Angie’s brother, did a little while back and he talked about the kids, how Pax was able to say his name and how it touched him, but he also said something along the lines of Brad and Angie trying for another child sometime next (which is THIS) year. I could be wrong though, but i swear i thought i read something like this. Anyone know which article i’m referring to?

Hi BAMPZS fans.All I know is that on the latest set pictures from Monday,you can clearly see her arm veins bulging out just like when she was preg with Shi.When the rags were freaking out about what was wrong with her at that time,doctors came out and said it was a normal occurance in pregnant women,as well as some women losing weight in the first trimester was normal because the baby gets all the nutrients.Angie was super skinny with Shi at first,just like she looks as if she lost a bit of weight now.All the signs for me point to her being pregnant,and her silence about it last night adds fuel to the fire for me.None of their reps have come out to deny it and she was apparently bombarded with the question last night.I think it’s still early and they are going to keep it quiet for a while.I absolutely think she’s pregnant,that baby JP 5 is kickin’ a@@ and takin’ names and that’s why Angie was sick on Saturday.I’m so happy for them and I’m a HUGE Bampzs fan.
P.S. Angie looked flat as a board in December 05 on a picture I have,so the fact that she’s not quite showing yet means nothing.She sure is wearing a lot of baggy clothes lately,and I’m sure she wears SPANX or an undergarment to flatten her tummy out a little because on some pics a baby bump is clearly visible, and on others not so much.

I just hope she, brad, and the kids are ok. Normally she doesn’t cancel things. The “personal problems” bother me. I don’t think she is pregnant but how awesome would that be!!! Hopefully we will get a reason I’m worried!

Other bloggers who usually provide trustworthy information like lainey gossip believe that this time the rumor might be true and that she is indeed pregnant.
moreover, perez hilton noted that all the clothes from her last film, are all loosy by the stomach. Of course that doesn’t prove anything at all, but it could also mean that she is trying to hide it so it doesn’t interfere with the filming, something she also did while filming the good shepard.
and when we all thougt that she was starting to gain some weight, she appears all skinny again. Some pregnant women, specially on their first 3 months, lose weight due to the morning sickness( nicole richie looked anorexic, and she happened to be like 3 months pregnant).
And finally, we all know who commited Angie is to ACNUR. She never misses any meeting, and I think that given that she can afford a private plane, she wouldn’t have any problems to catch a plane, give the conference, and catch it back, all in 2-3 days max. while Brad stays in the US taking care of the kids. Being pregnant, specially in the first months ,when it is more risky,is a good reason for not travelling.

i forgot i wanted to share a cute story from jimmey kimmel last night. james lipton from “inside the actors studio” was on, and he was telling jimmy how he likes tattoos, but his wife would not allow him to get one. anyhow, apparently he has told all his guests who have tattoos this, including angie. so one night he said he and his wife were at a function that brad and angie also attended. when angie saw them, she ran over hugged his wife and asked for her permission for him to get the tattoo. his wife admired angie’s tattoos, but did not give a yes. so angie turned to him with a cute shrug and said “i tried”. thats our angie, funny and sweet.

felinelilly you’re absolutely right in the fall of 2005 when angie was pregnant with shi her stomach was flat-whether it was that beach pic of her brad mad and zahara,riding a motorcycle in canada with brad,lifting heavy bags of food in pakistan with brad,going to the muahamad ali gala in that gorgeous red dress,the mr.and mrs smith premiere in japa,no one knew she was pregnant because she didn’t have a noticeable basby bump-it is surprising that brad’s rep-cindy guagenti,hasn’t denied this story,she has in the past when it wasn’t true.

I don’t think Angie is pregnant. There is nothing significant to indicate this. Also cancelling a lecture for pregnancy even in another country doesn’t make sense. Angie travelled and made speeches all over while pregnant with Shiloh, even the first trimester. Also their reps don’t deny every single rumour. There have been other pregnancy rumours and breakup rumours every week that goes unchallenged. It’s a waste of time considering people believe what they want to and tabloids run the stories even when they aren’t true.

Hi fans! To angela and kristen, don’t worry so much,brad and angie are ok, i bet they’re excited about pax’s birthday in 3 weeks. It’ll be his first with a family and really special. Plus they’re producing their hbo series together, and brad was on angie’s set on friday. They’re ok. Shortnswt, i read james’s interview, the part about pax saying his name, on people magazine’s website, but not the part about trying for another child. What did he say? Fan, i agree with you about all the examples you gave when angie was pregnant. I have a specific pic of angie and mad coming out of a store, dated dec.3. She was 4 months along already, but she had a coat on, and i swear, she was as flat as could be. So i’m sure she can hide her bump now. Oh and in the sunday toy store pics, she looks spent, like she spent saturday puking her guts out, poor thing.lol! She has that same tired look in the pakistan 2005 pic with the old woman. But you’re right, the most surprising thing is cindy g.’s not denying the preg rumor yet.

Well i don’t know what to think, except to feel “betrayed” on Angie’s behalf. She trusted those people with her reason for not being at the conference in person. Am sure she regrets that trust now!
IF it’s true!? Am VERY happy for them both.
About their “wish” for sons: I don’t ever remember hearing or reading of either of them saying that. In fact Brad is on record at least twice talking about a house full “of little hers”. AND ” little girls they crush me”.
The tabloids however have featured articles about them quarreling because HE wanted a little son. This is Bullsh*t! Read reputable interviews NOT made up ones.

Thank you Sherry for giving this topic consideration for discussion. This is why I love your site instead of some sites that are too immature sometimes. I have an adopted son believe it or not and he is of Cambodian decent. As a matter of fact, he looks like Madd when he was younger. And I do not have any idea about all this pregnancy clues. “Personal reason” could be anything. It could be her contract with Clint’s movie that cannot be re-scheduled because of time constraints. It could be wanting to spend time with the family. I just noticed that she is skinnier than her pictures over the summer. Her veins are more distinct and her face looks tired. I just hope that it is pregnancy and not another illness. I also did not see any source that says Brad and Angie prefer a boy. I think it is the fans who prefer a boy this time. Lainey is pretty much on target and I hope she is right. Hello to all from Italy. I was in Venice, Rome, and Florence January 2007. Even saw the Pope.

Im not so certain, but I would love it if the rumor was true, I have been waiting for so long to here that she’d be pregnant again. However this speculation has been going on since Shiloh was practically just born, so I think its most likely another false alarm due to high expectation and anticipation. Also, Angelina is a tough and durable woman, she wouldnt cancel a meeting due to pregnancy, cause she was still roaming the planet when she was pregnant with Shiloh. One of the kids is maybe sick at home or something. That’s probably it.
But if she is, that would be FANTASTIC!!!

Am I the only one who hopes that this rumour isn’t true? I love Angie, Brad and the kids, but the kids are all still small and need to grow up a bit before they can even consider having another baby either by adoption or naturally. It can’t be easy having four little ones to take care of and Angie recently said that they hardly get enough time to spend with all the kids individually, let alone each other - so I’m really hoping that there isn’t any truth to this.

G, Brad & Ange have plenty of help raising their kids, I raised 3 children by myself, working at the same time & living overseas while my husband was away most of the time on his tour of duty but I did it & very proud of it. I’m sure, if it’s really true that Ange is pregnant that’s really a happy time for them, you know how Brad wants a big family & Ange too. They will have a soccer team. LOL. For now, everyone is guessing.
Some of Ange’s latest pictures she looks a bit tired but still beautiful. Let the tabloids run their antennae, maybe they will gather some truth about Ange’s rumor pregnancy. Hope, the kids had a nice trick or treating last night. My g-sons did, their daddy went with them in our subd. they really enjoyed going house to house getting candies, they will not eat the candies but the experience will last a lifetime. Usually I would not have made a statement like that, but some days my old brain slows down and I couldn’t think of the word biological. The old fingers were just typing away without the brain. I know that Brad and Angie think of all of their children the same. She made big thing of that after Shiloh was born.

I don’t recall her saying this. What I have heard her say a few times is that they make sure to spend time with each child, and so far it is working out.
Brad said recently they were ready for another.
Regardless, I will not judge their decisions. I have 4 children under 8 and my family always had some criticism whenever I announced my pregnancies.
I learned to ignore them. My husband and I are very happy with our choices and our family.

I dont think that she is preg,i love to see another jolie-pitt,but i think it’s a little bit early,you know they have 3kid under 5,and mad is 6,it’s hard to take care of them and spend time with each of them,they will be really busy.i think they should wait a bit more…

Very confusing..I wish someone would interview that woman again and make her explain herself.
Why would Angie announce it so early on that she isnt even showing? And if she did announce it, why are her reps not confirming?
I hope she is pregnant but.. im not convinced yet.

I was hoping to see new news from Brad & Ange, they are killing us for waiting till Monday on the red carpet. Lucky for me, I am off from work on Monday, I can lurk every hour & check Sherry’s site & JJ for the latest news about the Jolie-Pitt’s & at night my husband & I are planning to watch the American Gangster, on Nov. 16, I plan to see Beowulf.
Well, I need some clarification, I just watch Ocean Twelve on dvd tonight, to tell you the truth I was not even a fan of Brad before, I didn’t even know that Zeta Jones was in that movie, anyway, when did Brad filmed Ocean Twelve ? Was it the same year as Mr. & Mrs. smith? Please help me with this, just confused. Ever since Brad & Ange became a couple, I became hooked to this two lovely couple, I really like them together. No problema, Mary Ann - so easy to slip when we’re tired (and in my case, old too).
I’m so happy that everyone on this board agrees that family is family, children are children - no matter biological or chosen. I know at least 40 people - family & friends - who’ve adopted (U.S., international, babies & older). In a few cases, there’s been conflict between adopted children not feeling they’re really part of the family with their biological siblings. It can be tragic. I think this theme has been a subject in literature, movies & soap operas too.

I SOOO get that, Mary Ann - it’s scary. Hubby has a strong family history of Alzheimers, but maybe I’m getting it first. There’s a disconnect between the synapses in my brain and my fingers - I’m typing homonyms. I want to type “there,” and I’ll type “their/they’re.” Even more worrisome, seems like I’m beginning to lose longterm memory (shortterm goes 1st).
Reading & writing is supposed to help keep the brain healthy - I might need to add other brain stimulators. What frustrates me most is forgetting words. I love to use words precisely - it’s a delicate art. I don’t remember a word I want to use; if I’m lucky I’ll remember its synonyms and the alphabet letter it starts with, and hubby will guess the word I want.
Now I understand Alzheimers patients being so angry - they know they want to say or do something, but not what and how. I guess they find peace when they don’t know that they don’t know anymore.

Well, Brad and Angelina decide how many kids, Maybe? they already discussion.. did not tell everyone, keep their secert.. Ligaya, I worry about all of those things also. And I had to laugh when Lori said we are all living our lives thru the Jolie-Pitts. I live each day hoping that my husband and I are able to get up tomorrow and have more years with our children and grandchildren. I don’t watch alot of TV or movies, I am a big reader, but I find more and more that I have to keep going back because I can’t keep the characters straight. I see my husband becoming very forgetfull and he gets a little upset if I say something, so I have to be careful. Well Ligaya, we have to keep on keeping active. And thanks to Sherry we have these posts and getting to know each other. We all live in different countries but we are all the same in our caring for the Jolie-Pitts.

I wonder how many people on here focus on their children and grandchildren as much as they do Angelina Jolie and her family?

Well Lori i don’t have kitty’s get, i just turn 25 on holloween! and im openly gay, but that does it means that in the future i will have a kid or adopt one or two or three! for the fact that i love children very much, i have 5 sisters and four brothers! so i have plenty of nices and nephews that i love very much and i have plenty of time for them.

Lori, my husband was born in Puerto Rico and we retired there because they all want to go home. Then our grandchildren starting being born and we didn’t last in PR much longer after that. We came back and started watching our daughters girls so she could work 3 days a week. We left our home in PA and went and stayed in NJ for 3 days. Then last year they made their home bigger so we could sell and move in with them. We help them out and they will watch over us as we get older. We also help our middle son when he is on travel for his company. So Lori dear, as you can see I have alot more on my mind than the Jolie-Pitts. But I love them as a couple and it makes me happy when I see their children. If it wasn’t for this site I would probably believe all the baloney some mag’s write about them.

Im with you Mary Ann, Im a chef in Texas and love my work i get to meet a lot of interesting people out there and having lots of friends + a very large family! but i always find time to find out what’s going on with Brad & Angel+kittys, i love that family very much and you can say im a little facinating by them but i don’t care, I LOVE THAT FAMILY!!!!!!

Mary Ann, sounds like you have a great family and a wonderful life! Congrats to you!
I remember watching Brad on TV once saying he nor Angie could figure out why so many people were so interested in them and their lives. He said they dwelled on the kids and family Angie enjoyed her Good Will work, so I guess like me, he thinks importance on family should be the most time consuming.
Not you in particular but I have noticed that quite a few “fans” act like they are actually relatives of them and live and breathe for them!
Same as fans of other celebs too like Britney, which doesn’t seem normal to me. But if it fills a void in people’s lives I guess it makes them happy.

Lori, I would be interested in knowing a little bit about you. How many children and grandchildren do you have? And why do you come to this site as often as you do? I come here after I have done my housework or whatever, it is a form of relaxation, and also it appears that there many interesting people here. I wonder if Sherry really intended for all of us to get into these heavy discussions. If this is not the way you want this site to go Sherry please let us know. We all respect what you are doing here and I am sure we would stop. Also, Lori I would never approach Brad and Angie or their children if I ran into them on the street. I would never stand in front of their house and stare at their home. I just simply like them and they way they conduct their lives. And they would be the first to admit that they must have fans or their movies would not sell.

Mary Ann, I am a retired Psychologist. I have two children and one just graduated from Harvard. I do not have any grandchildren.
I look at several sites daily to look mainly at pictures. This site I find interesting due to the “conversation” between people that actually act like they know this family personally. I don’t read JJ or Perez Hilton, I did one time and the language was too vulgar on there for me. I do volunteer work for several charities and I am a Widow.
I am certain they would be the first to admit they do have fans and appreciate them, and also I think the first to admit they would steer clear of the fanatics. They would probably be cautious of those type of people and wouldn’t be comfortable with them around their children. I would think that you yourself have seen both types on here.
No, you probably wouldn’t go up to them on the street or stalk them, but surely you can’t say there are others that would not hesitate to do so?

Mary Ann, I don’t mind at all. One of the things I love about this site is that not only do I get to post things that people seem to enjoy, but all the regular commenters seem to enjoy interacting with each other. I know I don’t always get a chance to pop in the comments to chit chat too (though I would like to very much and I’m trying to make it a point to do it more often) but I read every single comment that comes through and I love reading the conversations that go on in the comment threads, even when they’re totally unrelated to the original post.
Basically, as long as everyone remains respectful, I have no problems with it. Carry on!

Lori, you are a Psychologist then you should know better why fans love & adore Brad & Angie. I do have a family & I do love them & take care of them , As Mary Ann said, I do sit down in front of my computer after work as a form of relaxation & this is one of the best I can do inside my home while my husband is at work .By the way, my children are all grown ups , very smart & well mannered. I will continue to watch Brad & Angie’s movies & support their charities. God bless them.

Hi to all, so glad that Sherry approves of our discussions. So lets carry on and keep it respectful. Lori, happy to know something about you and I agree about the other sites. It makes me uncomfortable when I read their rants. Now back to the Jolie-Pitts, happy that the children are not subjected to the paps, but I do miss seeing their happy little faces.

Lori, was thinking about you while I was doing the laundry and knowing you are a psychologist explains alot of things about you. Mavi is right, you do like pushing people’s buttons and you have been doing a great job of that here. I felt many times I should see a psychologist, but now I have you to keep me straight.

Mary Ann, glad I can be of any help to you! I think what you and mavi consider “pushing buttons” is my idea of be realistic and using common sense. I am apologize to you and mavi if you have been offended in any way by my comments. They are just my opinions and Lord knows I am not perfect and only speak for myself. I am glad we can differ and not become bitter or hateful because of it. I appreciate Sherry being fair minded and allowing us to voice how we think. She wants everyone to be respectful and I admire that.
Thank you and mavi both for your considerate demeanor and not “name calling” like others have resorted to doing.
I do think that the paps would invade the privacy of the kids and would not consider them at all if they could get away with it, they are despicable sometimes and I do agree with a previous poster, they could put anyone in harm’s way like they did Princess Diana.

I was just reading on google…in was on those BEOWOLF interviews she says she is not pregant at the moment….so I guess she is not yet!!!
