Angelina Jolie Mighty Heart DVD release and Beowulf Q&A

Angelina Jolie attended another press question and answer session on Sunday after a screening was held for A Mighty Heart in honor of its release to DVD. It was held in Hollywood at Paramount Studios.

Having just seen A Mighty Heart on Saturday, I was blown away. I like that the movie wasn’t filmed in a slick Hollywood format, but rather with digital cameras to make it more raw and more like a documentary. Angelina Jolie as Mariane Pearl was absolutely wonderful. The only problem I had with the movie was that part of me kept hoping Daniel Pearl would be okay in the end - it’s one of those movies where you know it’s a true story and you already know the end, but thanks to so many neat and tidy Hollywood endings, you hope anyway. I did the same thing with Flight 93, thinking that maybe just maybe the passengers would get control of the plane, even though I knew very well that they don’t.

Anyway.

While discussing Beowulf with press, Angelina talked about her simulated nudity scene. Although it’s not really her on the screen, but rather a simulated version of herself, she said she was very shy about it, according to People.

“I got a little shy,” she said. “I was really surprised that I felt that exposed. There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected. I didn’t expect ourselves to come out as much. I didn’t expect it to feel as real, and so because of especially the type of character I play, it was kind of funny at first.”

She also appeared on Good Morning America, which I was unable to watch but once I locate video of it, I will post it here for all of us who missed it. And of course, stay tuned for red carpet pictures. For everyone who is missing Brad Pitt, I apologize, but there are currently no photos of him over recent days. However, you know if Angelina is walking the red carpet, Brad will be there at her side.
