Angelina Jolie Takes the Kids to the Store

by Sherry on March 16th, 2008

Reader Yvette sent me this great link where you can see photos of Angelina Jolie with Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh. She looks like such a typical, every day mom with her four beautiful kids, walking around.

Poor Shiloh Jolie-Pitt looks a little upset in the fourth one. I wonder if the paparazzi were freaking her out or if she’s just reaching that age where they start having meltdowns when they want something they can’t have. Angelina looks like she’s taking it all in stride.

Why in this world does each child have a bag of junk food?

    Just wondering…

That was cute. Shiloh’s all grown-up.
Tick-tock though. I sense a few people will make a big deal about their snacks again. Oh well.
    Such a lovely family.

BG - I’m eating a bag of chips right now. It’s a treat. What’s the big deal? My kids love chocolate bars. They don’t eat them all the time but they do enjoy them as treats.

Some people forget that the pics we see are only a glimpse of their lives. Nobody knows what their real eating habits behind their private doors. Besides, this particular day looks to be a fun, special outing for Angie and the kids.

I Am So Over The “Why Do They Always Eat Junk?” Comments. They Make MILLIONS Of Dollars Of Course They Feed The Kids More Than Junk!!!…… Anyway The Kids Are Too Cute And Angie Looks Great. Did They Really Get That Place In France? I Saw Pics Of The Home And It Looks Amazing

I read this somewhere else and it made sense. If they are walking to the store to get snacks that must mean they had none in the house. Thus it was a treat. They walked to the store and walked back. Good exercise. Good lesson on how to behave in a store. Great pics. Angelina looks great.

    The pictures are so cute.

Shi so cute. I think she is upset in 4th photo because she wants to walk like everybody else but Angie won’t let her cuz there are papz around.. ‘f course am only guessing :-)

To all whom have commented on the snacks…

Haven’t any of you heard of moderation…How about a bag of chips to share? Makes sense to me.

Point is, it’s one day. Again, we don’t know how they eat behind closed doors. It’s just one day, when the kids got treats. No biggie. Makes sense to me.

Let’s just leave at agreeing to disagree. This debate can go on and many of us will still uphold our stance.

Funny thing is, we’ve only seen pics like these 3 or 4 times out of the thousands of pics that have been taken of them, wherein those other pics, they aren’t snacking on chips.

They actually seem a rather well-rounded family. But they were able to squeeze in going up to the slopes and engaging in some pretty active things.

I just think it’s just a special treat day, kinda like when I was little, my mum would take me to the mall at least once a month and I’d get a special ice cream treat or some other yummy snack that I wouldn’t normally had gotten at home. It’s just one of those days.

It’s nice to see Shiloh looking so happy in the first picture. Sometimes in the past she looked a bit dazed…mellow, but dazed.

They look beautiful, at ease, and happy to me !

Yeah ! Even the healthiest people have and should have junk food once in a while. Kids don’t get to have wine or beer or cigarettes, so that is their treat.

Geez now 4 children have to share one bag of chips. It is much simpler to let each child pick their own bag. (especially walking down the street)
I am sure they are also being taught how to share in other ways. The family is growing beautifully.
It looks like it was a beautiful day (Palm Sunday)
Probably not the best time to teach sharing to 2,3+4 year olds. smile

Since I have received so many comments concerning junk food and most all of you seem to think this is such a rare occasion, do you remember when the entire family went to Missouri to visit Brad’s parents? I believe I recall reading that during their short stay they had gone to McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Perhaps you don’t consider that junk food.

Gee whiz. Just a special occasion. What is wrong with special occasions. They went to Missouri. Had special fun days. They even ate pizza with the rest of Brad’s family, and his nieces and nephews had pizza, too.

As I see it, the kids aren’t obese or bloated. They even go out on family trips. I.e. snowboarding and skiing or fun centers. It’s no biggie. It’s junk food once in a while.

Yes, those days that you mentioned when they ate at those fast food restaurants was probably one of those “special treat days.” Again, kinda like when a parent takes her child to the mall or treats them to the movies. They also went to the movies, remember? Why all the fuss over this?

Unless there’s any proof that behind close doors, they’re injecting these kids with lard day after day and second by second, then, that’s something to be concerned about. Otherwise, as I see it, this is just one of those days. After all, none of us are flies on their walls, right? So, passing judgment on their eating habits is not all worth it.

My kid sister ate ton of junk food when she was little, and in fact, she still does, but it’s not to say she doesn’t eat healthy food either. The little punk even exercises (avid soccer player). She’s skinny, which I’m quite envious of. I’ll attribute her lifestyle to her having a normal home life, which I think is what Brad and Angie are trying to provide their children.

Junk food is a normal part of being a kid. Anything is fine in moderation, it’s only when things get taken to the extreme (say, fried food for every meal) that it becomes a problem!

I think it’s fun to see them getting messy with Cheeto crumbs on their face everyone once in a while rather than follow a strict diet. Food isn’t just about weight, it’s about culture and lifestyle… I mean, what would a trip to the football be without a hotdog? Movies and popcorn? The carnival and cotton candy? This is the stuff childhood memories are made from :) Once in a while is no big deal. It seems that they have worked out a great balance.

    Let’s live and let live.

ADORABLE pictures, by the way. All the kids are getting so big! Angelina looks beautiful. It’s just lovely to see them all in one photo again.

    LOL!

I think BG believes the pretext of pagesix’s commentary and links to other tabloids who have listed those special treats as an everyday occurance. Lies Weekly!

He/she has judged it to be what they eat ALL the time, all be it WITHOUT proof mind you.

Which of course explains why NONE of those kids are obese.

When you go out BG, do you eat only salads and share the popcorn/chips/pop/burger with you friends/siblings? Or do you have your own to share as a treat to YOU!

First, I love how Angelina always wears dresses. So feminine and motherly. I don’t ever expect her to be the type to do it, but she always does!

Second, I wonder how she would handle a special needs child? Her kids are all (thank goodness) normal. I have 2 bipolar girls and meltdowns happened EVERYWHERE we went! Wonder how Angie would handle it if her kid laid on the sidewalk, screaming and kicking like a madman? Just curious…..

Cute pics. Shi has grown, she is as tall as Zee now and it seems that her hair is getting darker or maybe its just the shadow??? … Zee seems to be still in her pink clothing phase which is cute.

BradPittWantsMe, thats an interessting point, I would be curious too but well we will never know. Angelina seems to be patient no matter what…

i think angelina and brad are trying their very best to give their children a normal childhood, and that would include having junk foods from time to time.

i am under the impression that they eat great foods all the time, they can afford a nutritionist, a chef and so on. so having McDonalds or some chips once in a while becomes a super treat.

i think if the kids were pictured eating something or somewhere fancy, angelina and brad will still be scrutinized anyway.

There are pictures at JJB that show that Shiloh is crying because of a booboo that she got on her knee. She calms down almost immediately when Angie picks her up. Here is the sequence of the booboo pictures.

I have three kids, and I’m pretty anal about them eating healthy foods, my middle child is practically a raw foodist by choice. But we still have chips every now and then. We had them today with an omelette and salad for lunch (not that you all needed to know that! lol). I think if you’re crazy about never letting your kids have ‘treat’ foods, then it becomes a huge issue and they’ll eat them any chance they get. Junk/snack foods are heavily advertised, and they’re widely eaten. Introduce them to your kids diet in moderation as part of a healthy balanced diet and they’ll hold no allure!

As for the holiday thing, I remember being in Prague with my kids and extended family and ending up at a TGI Fridays twice in four nights because it was so hard to find somewhere kid-friendly that everyone in the group would eat. It’s not exactly the norm though is it.

Angie looks stunning and I love Shi’s little slip ons!

My niece loves cheetos….they make a big mess on the fingers. I am sorry, but I don’t get the long dresses. Midcalf is more attractive and managable. Just my opinion.

  • mysmichelle
    Mar 17, 2008 at 7:55 am

Personally, I don’t feel like it’s any of my business what these people feed their children. If they feed them cheetos and mc donalds every day three times a day guess what there are not laws against it and guess what it’s their children……..they are beautiful kids beauty from within…….no photoshop needed they look like they are doing photoshoots everytime we lay eyes on them……….as my grandfather always said proof is in the pudding, these children aren’t obese neither are the parents, what really is a shame and SHOULD be illiegal is someone following a pregnant woman and four small children around while they try to enjoy a little family time

Great pics. Most be hot down south, with all the dresses AJ is wearing. I found dresses alot cooler when I was pregnant too, lets the air flow. The only other thing I can say is send some of that nice weather up here. I am so sick of the snow. I had my share of skiing and snow fun it is time for it to go.

Sorry, but I don’t think it’s a meltdown. You raised a subject, and it engaged people, presenting some rather interesting and intelligent responses. Alas, it’s up to you however you want to take it. Perhaps if somebody agreed with you, then, you may not feel the same way …

The family look so cute. I’ve seen all the pictures at a different site and the reason shiloh was crying was because she fell and scraped her knee. You can see it in the pics but after angie picked her up she settled down and was smiling again. What’s the betting gossip sites only use the shiloh crying pics to bring the haters of angie over to spew their venom about her and shiloh. As always the truth is not as interesting as idol gossip which is what the media and tabloids make their money from. There is also pics of angie with brad at the new orleans buliding site and both look really good and very happy.

Thanks for the wonderful pictures of the family. I am just so happy to see all of the kids, I don’t care what they eat. I notice that Pax is tagging along at the end, but in most of the pictures we don’t even see him. I am sure that there was some one else with Angie that day and that person was keeping an eye on Pax. I am so happy to see that in New Orleans they are able to get outside and be treated normally by the other people on the street. I hope they have the new baby there.
