Angelina Jolie wrapping “Salt”, Brad Pitt to start shooting “Moneyball” June 11th

June has only just started but it’s already kicking off to be a busy month. Angelina Jolie is wrapping up the final week of filming for Salt. That’s good for her because she must be getting tired with the physical level of this acting job, but man I’m going to miss seeing her in that black wig and trench coat!
It’s going to feel like forever before we finally get to see the final product up on the big screen!
Meanwhile, the family will likely be packing up their belongings from their current temporary home in the Oyster Bay area and getting ready to move back to Los Angeles as soon as possible – according to the L.A. Times, Brad Pitt is scheduled to start filming Moneyball on June 11th.
The article goes into a lot of detail about how the movie came to be, and how they ended up being lucky enough to get Brad in the lead role:
A year or so ago, Pitt took an interest in the project, which of course put it on a front burner at the studio. Pitt was a natural for the part. As DeLuca put it: “If you try to think of a movie star who could embody someone like Beane — a former athlete who’s an incredibly physical specimen with movie good looks — you pretty much get to Brad Pitt right away.”
I have to confess that other than hockey and Superbowl football, I’m not a huge sports fan, but of course my interest perks right up when Brad Pitt becomes attached to a movie. I don’t know a lot about baseball so it was good to read the article to get a better grasp of what the movie is exactly about.
I wonder how long it will take for Brad to film his part. I know that Angelina has been filming for quite awhile now, but that’s probably due to it being such a stunt-heavy action flick. It didn’t seem like it took very long for Brad to film Inglourious Basterds, so maybe with a bit of luck the Jolie-Pitt family will get a chance to take some rest and relaxation time together – France or New Orleans perhaps?
In the meantime, maybe we’ll see some Brad and Angelina outings while they’re in Los Angeles!

I can’t wait to see Salt.
Salt has been in filming for more than 3 months. They started late February. It must be very exhasting for Angie. The movie revolves around her character. In the meantime, I’m glad she will be resting & relaxing surrounded by her family,it’s her other half’s turn to shoot Moneyball.I miss seeing the kids. Angie will be turning 34 tomorrow, at least we all know Brad is back to NY when we saw him boarding a private plane Yesterday. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.
Sherry, I noticed the time posted is now correct, before it was a bit odd. I’m up early to go to my Doctor’s appt. today. Hope everyone are doing ok. Can’t wait to see Salt next year.God bless the fans all over the world & the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Salt will be a hit – internationally as well. Don’t know about moneyball because base ball is such an american game. But should do well in Japan!!
From what I know about the events of “Moneyball” I really can’t see it as a movie!!! But you never know. (If I remember correctly, there was a segment on “60 Minutes” about this person, quite a while ago.) I can’t imagine it taking more than six or eight weeks to film since there is no action, other than a baseball game or two. It actually sounds boring if you aren’t a baseball fan but Brad can make any movie exciting!!! I was hoping they would get to spend some part of the summer in France. Perhaps they will get there for the Fall.
I am an American ex-pat in Switzerland and I think this movie is a brilliant idea. I love football movies but have not been a fan of baseball movies but with Soderbergh and real life players, I think this movie can be a winner … or shall I say a home run! Plus everyone loves Brad and Angelina in Europe so I am sure it will be promoted and attended well. Good Luck Brad!! Plus, I lived in New York and we have had enough drama with our GM’s. Plus, my cousin is sports lawyer with major league clients from the Dominican Republic. This could be my next Fight club. I am all over it!!
SALT is flming in NYC/long island till at least thursday. see onlocationvactions.com. i don’t know if SALT is actually even going to D.C. might only be for 3 days over the weekend of 6th-7th june.
friday 5th will be a travelling day, as i doubt if SALT is filming in long island on thursday night, SALT will then film in D.C on friday. not enought time IMO. peace.
I was just waiting for the pic of Brad heading back or arriving in NY. Just Jared has one of him boarding a plane. Hopefully, he is now back in NY. Does anyone know for sure? IMBd is reporting that both Moneyball and Lost City of Z are currently in the pre-production phase and that Lost City of Z is also to begin filming “this summer”. They are not always completely accurate though. Regardless, the Jolie Pitts have two homes in the LA area, so they are going back home for awhile, and Angie is probably really looking forward to being a stay-at-home Mom for awhile. No doubt she’ll be making a humanitarian trip soon, and who knows maybe an adoption trip, as well. I love how Brad and Angelina work out their schedules.

Moneyball looks interesting, I’ll have to read up on the premise. I love playing baseball, but watching in it another matter, especially if it is a pitchers game with no score very boring. On the other hand if the pitchers are not that good and there is lot of running and can be really fun to watch especially if your at the game, the atmosphere is everything. Watching base ball on TV not so much (but my 8yr old son loves it, weird). On the other hand I love sports movies, I find them inspirational. Or maybe it’s just I love movie period. lol
June that was a great piece of footage. You can see how much Brad enjoys being there and I loved what he said about the kids. They get angry when he has to leave them to go to work. All they see is that it takes mommy and daddy away. I love it. Jolie-Pitt forever.

dhc, i saw the photo of Brad boarding a private plane. i’m not really sure where he is going but i’m sure he’ll be with his family on Angie’s birthday tomorrow.

I also took the pop quiz and got 8 out of ten. Glad that Angie will be able to take a rest and spend time with the kids while Brad works. It is nice that they never work on a film at the same time. Maybe a little overlap but nothing long term.
The movie has been fliming for a long time, so she will be able to get some rest. Brad will start Moneyballs soon, I like Baseball when it get exciting, my doctor has season tickets at Yankee stadium he never misses a game and I have friends who lie to thier bosses to go to games, so I will wait to see what it is all about.

dhc- I hope Lost City of Z isn’t filming this summer. If it is, then that means that Brad basically lied when he said at Cannes that they’ll be spending the summer in France.
Now it`s Angie`s time to baby sit and Brad time to work. They are one solid and happy family.
I`m so annoyed to read the neverending lies of these tabloids that this beautiful couple is splitting. I never believed this crap, though, but it`s so disappointing. I know it`s not only them who is the center of this malicious gossips but other celebrities as well. I wonder if there is any law protecting their rights to privacy? How can another human beings plant vicious lies to other people?

My husband and most of our male friends always say they a babysitting their kids. I don’t really take it to heart, besides in my opinion they are babysitting they always do all the fun stuff and leave the parenting (ie homework, discipline, etc. to the wives)
The other point I wanted to make is that Brad probably didn’t lie at Cannes it’s just things come up and as adults sometime we don’t have a choice as schedule’s change. I’m sure they will spend at least some sort of holiday in France during the summer months.
