Angelina Jolie’s Cosmo cover and Brad Pitt’s still shots

Though Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are keeping quiet right now, probably thinking about the holiday season with their kids and family, we can still see them a little bit!
Angelina Jolie is on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine (German edition). I know I have quite a few German PittWatch readers so some of you can pick up a copy easily (and perhaps give us a summary of the article). For anyone else, you may be able to find a copy if you live in a major city with a lot of imported magazines available. You can see her stunning cover here – love that blue dress.
Meanwhile, there are some new still shots of Brad Pitt from Inglourious Basterds that have been released, which you can see here.
Finally, although I don’t see movies on Christmas day (just not one of my traditions and the 24th-28th are always really busy for me, family-wise), I know many people do, and so there are only three more days until The Curious Case of Benjamin Button comes out in theaters. Here are a few nice screen shots from the film.

I have seen the picture of Angelina in the German Cosmopolitan, and I dare say that a woman does not have to be fully naked to show how stunning, ultra hot and exquisite she is. Looking at Angie in a blue dress with that vivacious face is enough to light a fire in any man or even a woman.

We tend to stay home on christmas day, but I hope to see it shortly after!! I may need to find a different theater to go to, though, as our theater has horrible seats – no way I could sit through that long of a movie there!

For the most part, I love that photo of Angie. However, I don’t like that she’s not smiling. She looks so serious, possibly even sad, and that’s not the look our Angie normally sports (just to clear things up, I am in no way trying to imply that she’s going through any sort of problems right now!).
I much prefer her experssion in the W Magazine photos (if anyone’s wondering, I’m refer to the ones from a few months ago, NOT the ones from 2005!)! Anyway, I can’t see Angie ever getting naked for a magazine photoshoot (well, totally naked anyway. I know there are a few partial-nudity shots in the W photos that Brad took), at least not until the kids are grown.
I get the impression that she doesn’t want her kids to see her posing nude on magazines and such (that seems to extend to movies as well, as she said when Beowolf came out that the kids won’t be seeing it until they’re older because her character is seen in a very suggestive nightgown at one point in the film. She even said she doesn’t wear nightgowns like that at home, because “I’ve got boys!”).
I also think that’s part of the reason she and Brad don’t show as much PDA as Brad and JA or Angie and Billy Bob/Johnny Lee Miller. Unlike the former couples they were part of, they have six kids to think of now!
In The Curious Case of Benjamin Button I remember during filming it was reported that Shiloh was used in the film. Does anyone know if she made it to the big screen or is her footage on the cutting room floor?

Thank you Sherry. I saw a translation from JJ. Did you see Sam on Channel 5 this morning? He reported that Brad called a store (did not get the name) to order some tapes/cd for Angie. He said, this is Brad Pitt. The store clerk hung up on him thinking it was a joke.
We have a huge family and we used to get together and do fun things for all our kids during the day. Our tradition for the evening was for the adult cousins to decide on a movie and we all went. It was fantastic. Well, over the years the kids grew up and some have married, moved, etc. So, this year–my youngest daughter and I will see CCBB. That is going to be our “new” tradition. Others are welcome to join us, but, it HAS to be CCBB….lol…her and I BOTH love the Jolie-Pitts.

you are spot on therealbetty. the cosmo pic is old and so is the interview. cosmo have recently been in trouble with scarlett johansson for printing a false interview, i don’t know why angelina lets them get away with it. the pic is from 2004 or earlier, pre-brad.
Wishing everyone warm and happy holidays! My husband and I will be going to see CCBB the day after Christmas. We were hoping to attend a midnight showing Christmas Eve, but the theaters around us aren’t doing them.

On gawker.com they show that foreign Cosmos have used that photo many times they simply change the color of the dress the original was from 2003 I think

i’ll share with you the news about brad anf angie we heard in belgium and france:
- in belgium, angie is first on the list of “the best female star in 2008″(with 34% before Rihanna and britney (14% each)). brad and angie are “the best couple of 2008″ (with 38%, before Nicolas Sarkozy (french president) and his new wife, carla bruni).
- fench tabloids are saying that child n°7′ll be with the family in january. she would be a little ethiopian girl for 2-3 years. (but as everybody knows, we have to be carefull with that kind of information)
- they also say that brad and angie’ll go to africa with the whole family to see the progress of the clinic for aids they “bought”.

I am surprised Cosmo gets away with a fake interview (pretty much jamming every tabloid rumor, article and past interviews to make it look fresh and new) plus a picture that is from 2003. I wonder what Angelina’s PR department thinks about this cover and “fake” interview.
They just changed the color of the dress (the original may in fact have been this identical color- I think it has also been in red) and darkened her hair to make it match her hair right now in 2008.
No ethics whatsoever in my book!! Either get the original story from Angelina or keep it off the cover.
INtouch weekly had the story about the ethiopian girl 2 weeks ago but the claimed the girl was under the age of 1. IT also claimed over a month ago that Angie is 3 months pregnant so I guess she’ll be almost 6 months when she starts filming Salt in late Feb. So she should be 9 monthst pregnant by the time filming wraps up. Brad mentioned on Oprah that they would be visiting the home country of one the kids for the Xmas holidays and Angie mentioned the TB clinic in People (twins issue) so an educated guess would be Ethiopia
therealbetty, I never said they need to. I just know that some people (read: H8ters) like to complain about the fact that we rarely see them showing PDA, and thus that (to those people) means they’re having problems. I was just explaining what I think part of the reasoning behind them not showing much PDA is.
niemic idiota, I think Angie “lets them get away with it”, because she doesn’t want to waste her energy on something like that. She has said many times (and Brad has said this to an extent as well, I believe) that they don’t care what the media thinks about/writes about them (unless, say, PEOPLE magazine wrote something really bad about them. The J-Ps have a seemingly good relationship with PEOPLE and seem to trust them, so I think they’d be upset if PEOPLE turned on them and printed something nasty about them).
I get the impression from what Angie and Brad have said that trying to battle the media for printing false things and/or old things about them is just not important to them. Brad has called the media out occasionally (such as in his recent Rolling Stone interview where he defended Angie in regards to the recent NYTimes article about her as well as possibly JA’s comments about her), but mostly it seems like they prefer to “turn a blind eye” so to speak.
yoco- I’d take anything from InTouch with a huge grain of salt if I were you. Angie doesn’t look even remotely pregnant, and from what I’ve heard, Salt is going to a very demanding movie for her stunt-wise. I doubt she’d be irresponsible enough to get pregnant when she knows she’s about to start filming such a physically demanding movie.
As for the Ethiopian girl- Angie herself has said that you can’t begin the adoption process until any new children are at least six months old, and Knox and Viv won’t turn six months old until next month.
InTouch (OUT of Touch is more like it!) DID end up being right about Angie being pregnant with Knox and Viv, but I think they just got lucky. Remember, this is the same magazine that claimed around this same time last year that Zahara’s bio family wanted her back, and the same magazine that claimed Britney Spears was pregnant last Janaury.
Hi, Jhoey27. Happy Holidays, everyone. It’s always a nailbiter to see if I’ll have to pull an all-nighter to finish packing (3/5 done now). I have Negro Modelo on hand to ease my anxiety. On our way 5:30 am tomorrow taking the train to L.A., then the bus to San Diego – crossing our fingers there’s no snow. Then since we’re all grown up with no toys to play with, it’s CCOBB Xmas Day! And Changeling later with Mom. If the magic eco-scarf arrives in time, we’ll take it on a tour of NOLA, including Project MIR. Crossing our fingers there are no delays at Dallas/Forth Worth or Chicago.
Oops! I must have lost my mind for a minute, because I called Out of Touch a magazine, somthing they are definitely not worthy of being called. They are definitely a tabloid!
Susan- From what I’ve heard, Angie is one of the few actresses who DOESN’T have a PR department. She is her own PR person, and the rep we hear denials and such from is actually Brad’s.
Anyway, one other thing about the adoption rumor…Why do the tabs assume they’ll adopt from Ethiopia again? Yes, they adopted an Asian brother for Maddox…But they adopted him from Vietnam rather than Maddox’s homeland of Cambodia. Therefore, doesn’t it seem more likely that they will adopt from an African country OTHER than Ethiopia?
Missadele, I think Shi’s scene made it into the movie. At any rate, it’s in the trailer.
Oh, and why are they reporting they are going to adopt a girl under 1 year old? Since Pax was older when they adopted him, and they adopted an older child partially to get a child close to Maddox’s age, doesn’t it make more sense that they’d adopt a girl close to Zahara’s age? Also, I doubt they’d want a baby under 1 year old right now, as they’ve probably got their hands full with Knox and Viv (literally as well as figuratively!).
Sorry for the rant. I just wish that, if they HAVE to make up rumors, the tabs could use a little imagination now and then!
joliepittfanatic: I actually believe that not long after Angelina adopted Maddox, Cambodia stopped allowing adoptions. If I can remember the details, there was corruption in the system, so they halted the process. Maybe that is why they had to look elsewhere- because they weren’t allowed legally to adopt there anymore.
And I can also remember Angelina stating that very few African countries have a “legal” adoption process. So if they wanted to adopt again in Africa, they may have few choices. I guess they can try Madonna’s method, but as she found out, you pretty much write the adoption laws when they aren’t already set up in place. And I think Angelina said that she wanted to avoid those types of problems (which is why she picked Ethiopia).
susan, you made some excellent points! I didn’t stop to think that maybe the reason for going to Vietnam to adopt was because Cambodia had stopped allowing adoptions, and I didn’t realize that about Africa.
I thought that maybe they might adopt from Namibia since that country seems to have special meaning to them, but forgot that Namibia might not have a “legal” international adoption system.

If the Jolie-Pitts are indeed in Ethiopia for Christmas, that means they managed to sneak out of LA and into Ethiopia without the paps or the media knowing about it. As far as I know, there are no pap pictures of them leaving and/or arriving at an airport.
Then again, despite LA being the paparazzi captiol of the world, the J-Ps seem to be able to sneak around fairly easy there, since we rarely seem them while they’re there, and even when we do see them in LA, it’s almost always just Brad and Angie. Also, they seem to be able to be very sneaky when they want to (case in point: the media didn’t know about Angie’s trip to Afghanastan a few months ago until after the fact, and Angie and Brad managed to get Knox and Viv home from the hospital after there birth without the paps noticing!).
Considering the fact that Brad seemed relucentant to disclose where they’re going to spend Christmas, I’m not surprised that they appear to have snuck into Ethiopia unnoticed by the media if that’s in fact where they’re spending Christmas.
Anyway, I have to hand it to them! They are very good at giving the paps/media the slip when they want/need to!
UNDER MOD- How I admire the Jolie-Pitts for being sneaky when they need to be!
Okay, this is a bit off-topic, but I really need to rant. On another blog I frequent (which also moderates comments), there was a discussion recently about celebs selling the first photos of their babies to PEOPLE, OK, or whatever magazine (it was actually brought up in a Naomi Watts post, when someone praised her for introducing her new baby to the public by simply going out in public with him, and mentioned that they wished more celebs could be that way).
I pointed out that I think it’s actually a neccesity for some celebs, and used Angie and Brad as an example. Well, basically, I found out that some people STILL think Angie and Brad shouldn’t have sold Knox and Viv’s first photos, and that they were exploiting the twins by doing so.
Then they used Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, and Naomi and her fiance Liev as examples of celebs who haven’t sold the first photos of their babies. In similar discussions, I have also seen Halle Berry used as an example.
It infuriates me when people try to compare the above mentioned celebs to the Jolie-Pitts. None of those celebs are nearly as famous as the J-Ps (and Gwen and Gavin are bad examples to use to begin with, as they DID sell Kingston’s first photos to OK. It was only with Zuma that they didn’t sell the first photos).
As some other pittwatchers have pointed out in the past, the only celebs that really even come close to the amount of media attention and pap intrusion that the J-Ps have to deal with are Tom Cruise and his family.
It also infuriates me that Angie and Brad’s comments about the paps trying to drill a hole through the ceiling of their hospital room, and the fact that some paps in cameo gear broke into their property, all just to try to get the first photos of the twins, aren’t enough to convince some people that in their case, selling the first photos of their babies was probably a neccesity.
Maybe I’m being over dramtic here, but I really feel that, if Angie and Brad had taken Knox and Viv out without first doing the photoshoot, someone could have literally gotten hurt (if the paps were willing to drill a hole through their hospital room and break into their property, I can only imagine what else they’d be willing to do for the first photos of the twins!).
That makes me think, would people have actually prefered Angie and Brad to put the twins-and their other kids-in danger by taking the twins out without first doing a photoshoot?
However, one good thing came of all this…It gave me an idea for a discussion topic here on PittWatch. I think we should have a discussion topic about the J-Ps decision to sell Shiloh, Pax, and the twins’ first photos. I think it would make for a very interesting dicussion!

Oh, and I forgot to add that people also fail to realize that while Ben and Jen didn’t do a photoshoot with Violet, Violet is also one of the most (if not THE most) photographed celebrity children. I mean, the poor girl constantly gets photographed getting dropped off and picked up at school (just like when the paps took pictures of Pax and Zahara going to school nearly everyday while the J-Ps were in Prague in 2007)!
Also, celebs also seem to get slammed for NOT doing photoshoots. I mean, look at all the nasty comments Tom and Katie got when they didn’t do a photoshoot with Suri right away. The same thing happened to Britney Spears when she didn’t do a photoshoot with Jayden.
It’s a gorgeous photo, but as others have said, it’s been on numerous other covers.
I’d love to see a new cover, personally. She’s just as lovely now after having multiple kids as she was back in the day. Let’s see the real Angelina!
