Oh my god, people, you should listen before you start getting excited about “the good news.” The reporter asked her if she will add a seat to her table this year, and then said that he does not mean that there is another adoption coming, but that he was asking her that because of the rumor going around that Angie and Hilary Clinton are cousins. To which she responded “yeah, I heard that Brad and Obama are cousins, too.” IT WAS A JOKE!!!

I don’t think so, Janeth (interesting name). The interviewer was joking there would be one more place at the JP Thanksgiving table, and explained he meant Hilary Clinton. Recent articles said Barack Obama is related to Brad Pitt and Dick Cheney (ew), and that Hilary Clinton is related to Angelina Jolie. Clinton & Obama are presidential candidates in the U.S., in case you don’t know. Is English your 2nd language?

Great interview - one of the better ones that focused at least half the time on Beowulf and not on Angie’s personal life.
Did anyone notice how Angelina frames her answers in the broader context, and not solely on herself? For example, interviewer Andrew Cuomo asked her about balancing her family and human rights advocacy work, implying how hard it must be. Angie pointed out that all the single moms who work double-shifts had it much harder than her - she was very lucky compared to them. I remember she did the same thing when interviewers compared her & Mariane Pearl’s pregnancies - she pointed out that her experience was in no way comparable with Mariane’s.
(I think Andrew Cuomo should have paid more attention to Sir Anthony Hopkins, and asked fewer personal questions of Angelina.)

A Mighty Heart is sure to be a shoo-in for an Independent Spirits Award aka “indie oscars.” If you’d like to vote & help choose it as a Spirit Award nominee, become a member at filmindependent.org. There are lots of great benefits, but the main one is choosing the nominees & winners of the different award categories. Expensive but reachable. Hubby & I got a household membership last year so that we could support his movie (which won 2 out of 5 nominations).

Sir Anthony Hopkins is a STAR in every sense of the word! He definately should have been asked more questions and more focus put on him!

Thank you Sherry for the link to the interview. It’s a good one and I agree with Lori that Andrew Cuomo should have have given Sir Anthony equal time.

Lili May, I didn’t see the interview but saw it later on TMZ, I think she did a good job and seemed at ease answering his questions, and it was obvious that he was more interested in her. I just admire Sir Anthony so much as an Actor that I hope he didn’t feel slighted any.

I too, was aware of Cuomo’s interest in AJ so I studied carefully Sir AH, but it seemed that he, too was enjoying her. What was amazing to me is that SHE continued to shine brightly and did not back down from his probing - not one bit - out of a feeling of diverting to Sir AH out of social “politeness”. She is definitely hitting her stride as mature, settled, knowledgeable, likeable in most all walks of life.

I agree, that any interviewer will be mesmerized with Angie during an interview because Angie is more interesting, smart and oc course drop dead gorgeous. I am no comapring this or anything, this happened too when interviewers were interviewing the cast of TGS. They were asking Angie more questions than Matt or Robert DN. On the other side too, when JA was promoting Derailed, Larry King was asking her more questions (3/4 of the time) and Clive Owen was just sitting there. As always, Angie manages to say something of substance. She is really a smart individual. Even A. Hopkins is amazed being with her.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that Cuomo asked Angie more questions rather than focus on Sir Hopkins who has bigger roles in Beowulf. That proves one thing, Angie is smart, she is very focus on answering the questions. Last night, my husband & I watched American gangster, it was too violent & have plenty of nudity for me but good movie at the end. Before it starts, it showed “Wanted”, Angie is so beautiful in that movie & a very good one in action film. My husband said it is a good movie so we are definitely going to see it next year. In 10 days we are going to see Beowulf.
