Angelina Jolie’s SAG nomination
Just a quick reminder - don’t forget that Angelina Jolie is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at the SAG Awards for her role as Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart .
The SAG Awards will air on Sunday January 27th. It’s aired on TNT and TBS, but many local affiliates may be picking it up as well, so check your local listings to be sure when and where it’s on.
Hopefully, with Angelina being up for an award this will mean our favorite thing - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the red carpet together again!

I was looking forward to also see her on the red carpet and hearing her acceptance speech. Oh more thing I just read on a couple sites: jjb.yuku.com with a link to x17online.com saying that angelina is pregnant with twins, but the picture looks like she was pregnant with shiloh. Please check out those sites and reply and let me know if it is true , because I will be very glad for them they need to have a quite little boy that looks like brad. thank you very much.

Chevjuls, the picture looks like it was taken when she was pregnant with Shi. Maddox does look quite young in that photo.
As for the SAG awards, I won’t be able to watch it over here in the Philippines, so may I request those of you who might be able to post photos and video clips to please do so. Will be greatly appreciated. Many many thanks. I hope Angie wins!!!

I think getting nominated for a SAG award is better than the Oscars because your peers believe in your ability as an actor. Actors recognizing actors. Not a bunch of critics who can’t act to save their lives judging actors. The Oscar snub is disappointing, but hell! We all know what a great actor Angie is. And she knows that too. And she gets projects/movies that makes sense. There’s more to life than an Oscar nod.

Hey Pittwatch-ers, just wanted to let you know that even though I haven’t posted in a while, I stop by every day as usual and appreciate Sherry’s positive, well-written news. Read a Ligaya post not so long ago in the L.A. Times and wanted to shout out: You go, Girl.
Also, I really don’t think Angie or Brad were “snubbed” by the Academy Awards. There were many great performances and movies this year, and sometimes, the numbers don’t fall your way. Seriously doubt the Jolie-Pitts cared all that much.
Also, I wish the NAACP had given her a Chairman’s Award as they did Bono last year. No matter how great her performance in Mighty Heart was, doubt very seriously if she’ll win best actress award given the casting controversy. Peace and Love to all.

I, too, was disappointed when Angie didn’t get nominated for an Oscar. I don’t quite know how that happened. Her name has appeared on nearly every other awards list out there. I hope she wins the SAG Award. :)

Finally, my disappointment over Academy Awards is over, I have to move on & on Sunday will be another big one for Ange. At Extra today, they say that Ange & the X will meet for one night because they are both invited for the Oscar party before the Oscar Awards. Let’s wait & see if it will happen. God bless.

I hope they attend. Just stay away from that idiot ryan seacrest and E channel and it will be great. Maybe they might be late again so they don’t have to talk to any of those two faced reporters.

the only upside to not having golden globes or maybe oscars is that idiot ryan seacrest doesnt get to be on the red carpet or any other annoying entertainment reporter who asks the dumbest questions….oh and besides from seeing brad/angie on sag awards im hoping to see a nice tribute to heath ledger in the show that would just be great.

i notice last year brad was nominated for golden globe but got snubbed as well for the oscar nomination well good luck to ABC trying to nab any viewers for the oscars seeing as how most of the nominees are not many A list movie stars maybe george clooney and thats about it

There are a few rumors, one is from Lainey’s column blog about the big party before the Oscars. Tom Cruise is also invited. She mentioned only A-list stars. Now I am not to belittle Jennifer A. but I don’t think she is considered and A-lister yet. Then again, Lainey is good in making innuendos and rumors that she interprets too and I think she gets her sources from tabs like US Weekly, In Touch, etc. So, don’t believe anything about the parties. Now for the SAG, remember 1999 when Angie won all these awards for Girl Interrupted. That year, she won the Critics, the GG, the SAG and the Oscars. I have a gut feeling, the award will go to Julie Christie just because of the pattern. These happened to Charlize Theron, Jennifer Hudson, Helen Mirren and Reese Witherspoon raking all of them in their respective years like Angie. Reese even won the Peoples Choice Award that year. I sure hope that I am wrong with the pattern this year because I really love Angie and hear her acceptance speech.

Lucy, there is a picture of the invitation on another site, (i am using a laptop, and have not yet mastered the art of copying and printing on it).
The funny thing of Lainey referring to Jen as an A-lister, is that for the past two years she has been calling her a c-lister. That is what happens when you have a powerful PR agent.
I am sorry, i have never been a fan of hers, and her actions during her divorce did not help matters.

This morning our local tv station said, our society is made of tabloids, nasty & gossips. If we believe everything the tabloids writes we are going to be insane. I am still hoping Brad & Ange will show up at the SAG Awards. For the Oscar party, They should just stay home , it’s not worth going if you are not nominated. Good morning to all the fans. i don’t care if angie will bag the award or not. i just want to see them both on the red carpet and hopefully they’ll be as sweet as they were at the critics choice awards. :)

I really want Angie to win and really wanting to hear her acceptance speech. I want to know whether she’d thank/include brad. Unlike, Jen she totally forgotten to thank Brad when she won an Emmy (if I am not mistaken)… But I agree with angela. I just want to see them on the red carpet.
