Angelina ready for peace with her father
According to People magazine, Angelina Jolie is willing to rekindle her relationship with her father, Jon Voight after not speaking since 2002 when he told Access Hollywood that his daughter was unstable. Since that time she has always maintained her distance from him, saying that she had no time for him in her life. Angie says that she has hopes that a relationship with her father in the future will be more private and less open to the media. She also says:
“At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we’ll try to start communicating in some way.”
She also spoke about Brad Pitt’s parents, happy for the way they accepted her and her children. She said that although she was apprehensive when she first met them with two of her adopted children (at that time it would have been Maddox and Zahara), but that they were very loving towards all three of them.
Maybe it’s the relationship with Brad that is making her consider opening the doors to her father again. Or maybe it’s seeing her four children with their grandparents and wanting them to know their other grandfather. Either way, I hope she finds all the peace she’s looking for.

Good for her. She deserves to be happy, including make peace with her father. I know Brad’s parents adores their 4 kids, I think it’s about time for them to know her father.

It felt good reading about this article… it has been awhile since she even mentioned her father.. I think whatever may have happened between them in the past, they are still blood.. also, with every good deed she is trying to do with the 3rd world country you can’t quite feel content if you are harboring ill feelings toward a family member.. I hope this happens soon!! moral comes from home and I know that Ange knows this, I’m sure only time will tell..

This words came from an interview in L.A. at the Beverly Wilshire at the same interview where she also cleared up her weight loss issue. She also mentioned in the same interview that Brad’s parents family have visited them several times. The tabs have been using this issue of her not talking to her father at all and that Brad’s family likes Jen more. So there, the tabs ARE WRONG AGAIN. Ha! And the tabs are saying Brad hates James H. In reality, Brad was supporting him while he grieves for Marcheline. Thank you Angie for being candid and open even though it is your personal life trying to be more private. Bless you and your family.

I am glad to know that angelina is moving forward to reconcile with her dad, even if is for the kids so they could their other grandfather. the kids are so beautiful. lucy, I agree with you about tabliods these people always be writing junk about brad and angelina since they got together, if it not in the new york times I dont believe a word they write or if brad and angelina say its true then I will believe, away from I will not believe what these gossipers have to say about them. god bless this beautiful family and a vey happy fathers to brad.

I’m glad especially for her children. If possible, children should definitely know their grandparents. I think Brad had something to do with this. I don’t know how true this is but, I heard he’s been talking to her about this for a while. Did anyone else hear something like that?

i think it’s about time for her to reconcile with her estrange father.
i know that her dad has treated her, her brother and her mother so unwell.
but i think angie should cut the bad blood circle so that those things won’t happen between her and her kids. parents are human too. even they do responsible for the failure of raising their kids, but it’s a necessity for us (the children) to keep respecting them becuz they are our parents.
our parents mistakes are not our business. it’s their own deal with God. we have to respect our parents no matter how bad they are and keep them always in our prayers.
i hope this good news will happen soon. this is such a happy moment for angie, and i’ll be happy for her.

I just wish for things to go smoothly for Angie on how and what she wants things to be with parents. Brad Pitt’s parents have been good to their grandkids. Jon Voight should be a better father this time and a great grandpa to his daughter’s kids.

Wednesday, 6/20, Anderson Cooper 360 degrees, reprise: The commercials seem like this broadcast is the re-airing of Anderson Cooper’s interview last year right after Shiloh’s birth. Angelina offered the interview to Anderson Cooper because he had done stories on Africa. The interview focuses mostly on Angelina’s humanitarian/refugee work. (CNN denied that it paid money for the interview - distinctly legitimate journalism standards and ethics; unlike tabloids).I’m encouraged by some of the blog posts which say that Angelina has won them over with the facts.
