Angelina talks about her weight

The most common thing I hear about Angelina’s appearance is that she is so thin and that she needs to put on some weight. It has never once crossed my mind that she was anorexic or that she was somehow trying to be as thin as possible.
That’s why I’m so glad that during some interviews, Angelina talked about her weight. This is what she had to say:
“Someone saying to me that I’m thin is not a compliment,” Jolie said. “I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot. I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding - it’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track. Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it’s because I want to fit into skinny jeans.”
I don’t know why people are so quick to write her off as another Hollywood stick figure. Of course her grief and her busy life has contributed to her weight loss. I’m (as Angie put it) lean too, and if I lost my mother and was grieving while also trying to take care of my two kids, do my work, and all my day to day obligations, I would probably end up very thin as well. I know I certainly wouldn’t want everyone whispering that I must be anorexic and I’m in awe that Angie continues to handle the downside of fame .

Thanks sherry for the update. Of course Angie isn’t anorexic. That’s the last thing to cross my mind.

Hi Sherry,
There is more to this interview on this site:
Is there a lot of pressure on actresses to be thin?
The funny thing is, when somebody says, you’re thin, a person says, thank you. To me actually, when somebody says I’m thin, it is not a compliment. It’s not something I want to be. I have always been lean.
This year, I lost my mom. I’ve gone through a lot. I have four kids. I just finished breast-feeding. It’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track and learn about my body after birth. I am doing the best I can. The thing that’s disturbing is that instead of somebody saying, oh, this looks like somebody who is dealing with something from emotions-it’s, do they want to fit into skinny jeans? I don’t encourage young girls to be too thin. I do want people to understand that I am just trying to work through a very difficult year.

as i guessed before.
she looks strong after he mom’s death. but she wasn’t emotionally stable. especially at the moment when her mom died, the rags keep creating negative fake news about the jolie pitts.
no wonder she lost her weight. i’ll be thin too if i’m in that condition.
but this interview gave me a relief. at least we know that angie tries to work it well. since she has so many activities and being counted on by many adorable people.

Hopefully, she will make her health a priority after these activities, she & Brad been so busy lately, they really need to find time to each other & relax. Have somebody watch the 4 kids & go off to a place where they can relax & be by themselves, I don’t mind not hearing any news from them as long as I know they are together & spending much needed quality time for each other. They need a vacation only for the 2 of them.

i agree w/ irma. they need a vacation just the 2 of them and longer. brad’s parents can watch over the kids. they did so in the past. they are both exhausted but very happy and contented w/ the 4 wild angels! lol! but still need time for themselves only!

Breastfeeding Hoorah for Angie - I don’t think many “Stars” did that. This could explain why she looks so thin, First she is breastfeeding this can take a lot out of a woman, the she is worrying about her mom before and grieving after she died. Her and Brad are going to take a break here soon so hopefully she will get her body and hormones back on track.

It is a good thing that she has talked about it, but at the end of the day it will not curb the “reports” or the glee with which they are reported without a care for the truth!
There are too many people out there who’s self worth seems to depend on creating hateful situations around this couple. Angie in particular. My husband once said when i was in mid tirade about a report from CNN; ” The green-eyed monster is a terrible beast to control or reason with!”
She (Angie) inadvertently creates inadequacy in people, especially women. And we all know how bitchy we can become when someone “prettier and smarter” walks in our midst. Then she had the gall to fall for Brad Pitt.

and another thing, breastfeeding will wear you all the way out!! the quickest and most effective way to burn fat and lose weight is to breast feed. i remember my doctor telling me to eat more while i was breastfeeding because it was going to burn more calories. he was not lying. i looked like i had aids, i was so skinny (no offense to those with aids). she really doesn’t eat that much anyway, although she loves a good steak. in addition to having other kids, working, and losing her mother, i think she is doing an amazing job and she looks like she’s doing really good. her smiles look genuine, and she seems “happy-in-spite-of-all-that-is-going-on-in-my-life.” i am glad for her. she’ll be fine. and by the way, how many would kill for the body she has–thin or not?

I did they same thing when i was breastfeeding. now i wish i still breastfeeding so i can lost some of this baggage i have on right now. My daughter who is 21 is as lean as “Angie” and people think she is anorexic. You know what my response is :GO FISH”At least she cant fit into any vintage dresses she wears.

There’s a noticeable difference between Angie’s “thin” and the “thin” of people like Nicole Richie…she’s got great muscle tone and great skin tone, even with all the weight loss, and you don’t get that if you’re starving yourself or binging and purging. Even super-thin, she looks great, as always, and there is a definite glow of happiness about her that was missing in the time immediately after her mother’s death. I’m glad to see her looking and feeling more at peace.

See, a little bit more we know about Anglie and her daughter Shiloh. Shiloh is breastfed, and that is so great of Angie. People are just so quick to acuse her of not caring about Shiloh, just because they don’t know everything that goes on in their lives.

She is a great mother, very protective of her children but never afraid to speak her mind. Iam glad to hear that she breastfed Shiloh, seldom an actress on her caliber will probably do the same as she did. She has a great skin inspite of being so skinny, hopefully she will gain back some lbs soon & she will be back to the top of the list again as The Most Beautiful Woman in the World. She will always be #1 on my list & to Brad he must be feeling that he is the luckiest man alive today. You are both #1. Keep up the good work.

I agree that she is too thin. I know what it’s like. I went through a very tough year a couple of years back - and my son weaned himself. I lost too much weight and was dealing with emotional issues. Sometimes I’d look at my skinny bones and wonder how I could be eating and still be so lean. Luckily I never stopped ovulating - got pregnant again, had another baby and she is nursing so I’m keeping some weight on. For me breastfeeding helps me maintain a healthy weight!
