Angelina Won’t Help Oprah
Sorry to bring that gorgeous picture of Brad down the page with (yeah, yeah, I know) another Star Magazine special. This time they claim that Angelina has declined an offer from Oprah Winfrey to help with her African girls school.
An insider told Star magazine “Oprah thought Angelina would jump at the chance because she knows how much Angelina loves Africa. Oprah says it’s the last time she’ll ask Angelina to help with any of her causes.”
Another source revealed: “Angelina has never forgiven Oprah for siding with Jennifer Aniston after Brad Pitt split from Jen.”
Aren’t those “insiders” always just chock full of the news?? As always, I love to hear what you think!

I wouldn’t blame Angie if she did turn Oprah down. I make it a point never to believe anything printed in “The Star”.

Oprah made what I thought was a serious professional faux paus last year when she twice informed the world via a visit to the set by her lil bud Jen A and a phone call to the show at a latter date that she was taking sides in the Pitt-Aniston split, and it was Jen’s back she had. I may be very wrong, and maybe Oprah can rise above the personal (AJ doesn’t strike me as a gameplayer) and find a common ground to work on in helping others, but AJ hasn’t needed OW’s help before, and Brad hasn’t either so I WILL be surprised if 1. any aspect of this story is true and 2. Brad or Angelina grace OW’s show promoting anything they’re participating in anytime soon. OW isn’t as all powerful as she or her fans may think.
And oh, what Chris said….”The Star.”

As always, the rags perpetuate the “VICTIM CONSCIOUSNESS” and nothing speaks to that more than a triangle (with an “injured” party). How many will buy this story? It would be great to see STAR out of biz sometime soon.

I wonder if there could be some truth in this - I think that Oprah would like to be associated with Angelina (because of her good reputation with charity work), but would also like to get close to the family to find out more about their lives (sheer nosiness). I think that Angelina has smelled a rat with this generous “offer”. She doesn’t need Oprah to help her spend her time or money on good causes - she’s doing it already. i think Angelina is sensitised to this kind of “offer” because she has had a father who is only interested in her reflected glory and what he can get from her. No harm to Oprah if it is true, but I think she should look honestly at her reasons for trying to include Angelina - a straight apology would be better.

Speaking of tabloids, did anyone else read about/hear about UsWeekly and Life & Style being denied access to Brad’s press conference in NOLA? I assume Star, NE and the others didn’t even bother showing up but maybe the other too thought they were real pub’s until someone reminded them that no, you’re a rag too lol.

JPF> hadn’t heard that. IMO rags like that have no business at an important conference that brad’s having in NOLA.

Can I sneak in here and say that I sincerely do hope that Angie continues to say “NO” to Oprah. There was a time that I liked watching Oprah, but she has gotten to where she believes her own publicity. She made some comments about people not being able to accept those who have AIDS and treat them equally. I wanted to yell at her! My son died of AIDS, and I was terrified at times, not because of me, but because we had a tiny, premature baby also in the house.
Enough about me. Yes, I delurked to say “GOOD FOR YOU ANGIE.”

I agree, the JA interview on Oprah was terribly one sided. AJ should graciously decline any offer at this time. Maybe when JA’s pity party has ended and she is doing infomercials they can unite for a cause. Seems Oprah picked the wrong side on this one. Why doesn’t Oprah aks her best bud JA to help. That would be more appropriate, although less productive.

Everybody wants a piece of the hottest Hollywood couple.OPRAH is a rich single woman. A. JOLIE is a mother with 3 little ones. How can she expect A.JOlie to lend her a hand with her project. OPRAH, for many years now, launches her monthly visage for her magazine. For as much time and money , that project of her could have been in full operation by now with or with out
AJ’s help. She just needs to get into the JOLIE-PITT bandwagon.THis time, maybe her friend from “FRIENDS” can help.

i used to like Oprah Show, but i think most of her guest stars are doing the PR thing in her talk show. like, there’s a hidden agenda on it.
wether the news are true or not, i hope angie will never sit in OW’s chair.

I cannot believe Oprah had/has the audacity to ask AJ(the princess of charity) for help after siding with JA publically! This has made me a little annoyed with Oprah.
Like someone above said, ‘GO ASK YOUR BESTEST FRIEND JEN’ To help you Oprah.
You only want a piece of this HOT couple because you & your friends ’sympathy plan to the nation’ did not work. They are still loved by millions, God Bless The Pitt-Jolie Family!

I did not mean productive in reproductive way. (lol)
JA and Oprah do have a lot in common on that one though… and there is nothing wrong with that choice (as Seinfeld would say).
