Angelina’s baby
Remember I mentioned last week that my wedding present from my hubby was a horse named Angelina? Here she is, and what we woke up to this morning. Precious!!!
Don’t know if it is a boy or girl at this point - but hopefully we will get close enough to find out soon! We’re thinking about naming her Jolie - we’ll see. :) Sooo exciting - I love living on the ranch!

Beautiful! It must be wonderful to live on a ranch surrounded by nature every day.
Seeing a mother and her babe is one of the most beautiful visions in life!!!! Congratulations to Angelina!!

How wonderful! My daughter works at a college barn and they just had a baby too. She actually got to go in the stall with mom and baby and pet the baby. She said it was soooo soft!

We just got to pet him (it is a HE), he IS soooooo soft and sweet!! Ranch life is wonderful fun - and sometimes depressing (we lost 2 donkey babies last year :( ), but is a real learning experience, for sure!! Ill get some better pics now that the sun is up - and the fog is gone. He is a doll!

since angelina is having a boy too( this is what I think) ha ha why dont you wait a few weeks and see what she names her baby boy… ha ha or name him Brad……….

Christina, how exciting! What a beautiful picture, and a wonderful life you’re living. Since it’s a boy how about calling him Madness?
I was a horse freak between the ages of 12-14 to the point of being a walking talking “please don’t ask her about them because she’ll never shut up” expert lol. I finally it was time to have one and begged and begged knowing that I was blessed with a mother who believes if a child shows interest, then that interest must be explored, and so once again she relented and I found a paint gelding 14 1/2 hands, and sweet as sugar.
Well, they gave me a list of what would be required to maintain “Patches” in the care he’d become accustomed to, and how anything from the moment I committed myself to him, anything I wanted to do with my time & allowance that didn’t pertain to his upkeep was out of the question.
Before I signed on the dotted line, my mother wanted to make sure that I understood that I was not becoming the owner of Patches, but that Patches would now own me.
In the end, reverse psychology DOES work lol.

Gorgeous! Congratulations! I have an idea for a name - instead of ‘Jolie’ which means ‘pretty’ in french, you could call him ‘Beau’ meaning ‘handsome’ in french ? :-) I think this is a ‘neat’ idea, but of course, I won’t be offended if you don’t call him this - you need to pick something that you feel suits him. Congrats again!

Thanks everyone - this has been a fun day! I’m glad we petted him when we could, Angelina’s mothering instincts kicked in somewhere around noon and no one can get anywhere near him now. This is a good thing, I guess. :)
Laura - I think Brad and Angelina’s baby is a boy too - we might wait around to see what his name comes up to be - but Belle, Beau is a beautiful idea/name too! Angel’s mom’s name was Lena - hence Angelina - so we may give him a horse name with Lena in it. Who knows - horses always have weird names, and then you call them something entirely different. ;)
