Babel is a hit in Cannes
Babel has its eye on the prize, the Palme d’Or, at the Cannes Film Festival this year, as it has been quite a hit. An e-mail from Brad was read before the movie (squelching all rumors of him showing up at Cannes for good):
“With the imminent arrival of the newest addition to our family, I am unable to join Alejandro, Cate, Gael and the rest of the cast and crew in introducing the film,” he wrote, adding that he was “tremendously proud” of Babel.
And this is what Cate Blanchett said about working with Brad:
“In terms of working with Brad, it’s like chocolate. He’s glorious and wonderful and I really wanted to work with him for a long time.”
Mmmm - Chocolate. I bet she really wanted to work with him. What actress in her right mind wouldn’t?? ;)

Catherine, this is the second female BP costar to praise him for being a great guy. His JESSE JAMES costart Mary Louise-Parker said earlier in the year that “he’s a great guy, conscientious and kind.” I think he’s found someone in AJ who truly see’s, appreciates “and doesn’t take for granted” all those yummy things about the man.

I think it’s good that he hasn’t won an Oscar yet [although he has had some great performances], because, maybe his flame would have burnt out by now and we would all be bored with him.
It seems to me that during this next phase of his life…ALL of that is coming to him.

Now here is a guy who does have his priorities straight. Not to know Tom Cruise or anything, and not to be funny but he would have told Katie, “I’ll only be gone a day. I’ll make sure the chopper’s on standby.” The man wouldn’t miss a beat promoting “his” movie. Love Brad!!

I would love to see Babel get good reviews in the States. . .it’s encouraging that it’s doing so well at Cannes and that Brad’s performance is getting some great press. I hope you’re right Bethany about this next year being a great one for him both personally and professionally.

They are the ones that Brad SUED a paparazzi for taking last summer at his Malibu home with a long scope lens from like a half mile away! And, so they are VERY controversial photos. And I don’t blame Brad one bit for sueing the guy for that…it was an intrusion of his privacy…totally!

It was all in fun… and obviously you didn’t know those are the photos Brad sued a photographer over, so as far as I’m concerned, you are innocent. But from now on…just be AWARE that NUDE Photos of ANY celebrity are TABOO…unless that celebrity did the photo shoot willingly of course. K? (that doesn’t mean you can’t use them to make your galpals want to grow up..LOL…!!) But if you take a close look at those pics, you’ll notice they are grainy…that means they were blown up bigger to show as much detail as possible because they were taken from so far away…a sure sign they are paparazzi trespass photos!
