Babel wins ecumenical jury award in Cannes
Hot off the presses, fromYahoo! News, Babel wins the ecumenical jury award. Here is more about the award:
The ecumenical jury, which every year awards a prize to the film deemed to have best promoted human values, said the film “shows that a true relationship can only be achieved by renouncing the control of everything in order to embrace one another’s strengths and weaknesses.
“Our world relies on a seemingly global, immediate and comprehensive form of communication. But this is merely an illusion that breeds isolation, stereotype and fear of ‘other’,” the ecumenical jury said in a statement.
“Babel” shows how one childish prank affects the lives of four families in Morocco, the United States, Mexico and Japan and causes them to re-examine their priorities.
I think Brad will be pleased, what do you think?

I’m really happy for brad his life is so good right now. I don’t think Babel is going to win the top award though, The critics really seems to like the film Volver and it seems to be the favorite to win. However I do hope that brad wins best actor.
