Pittwatch.com: Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Gossip

Brad and Angelina hit France

by Sherry on April 28th, 2008

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie go to France

Well, it seems there might be something to all those rumors we heard about Angelina Jolie choosing to deliver her baby/babies in France after all!

According to eonline.com, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt all touched down in Nice, France in a private jet on Monday night. They are allegedly all staying in a Villa owned by Microsoft’s Paul Allen. The Villa is on the French Riviera which must be just gorgeous. According to eonline.com, they brought along two nannies and three security guards (maybe Mickey is back on duty since he usually worked with them on overseas locations?).

It’s being speculated that the Jolie-Pitt family will essentially stay in France for the duration of her pregnancy (though not necessarily this particular Villa, and depending on work schedules such as the Venice Film Festival) , which will be convenient since they won’t be far from the Cannes Film Festival where Angelina has Changeling and Kung Fu Panda opening.

I’m not sure yet if it’s true, only eonline.com is reporting it so far, but they’re not on the same level as your average tabloid so it’s quite possible. It would be great to know that they were settled on a location for the arrival of their newest family member!

(Thank you to all five PittWatch readers who were kind enough to send me the link!)

Well that settles it for ME, France it is. That means the family will be there for the next 6 months at least. If I am not mistaken a new France school term starts soon, (don’t the kids go to school in the summer in France? Three terms with 3 weeks off in between each). I would bet we will see lots of dropping off at school pics along with all the red carpet pics.

Maybe a bit of truth, but who knows the whole story. Eonline can be a bit sleazy as well (it is the home of Ryan Seacrest and they guy who used to be with USMagazine), so information they publish should be taken with a grain of salt.

Maybe they are there just to get ready for Cannes and a bit of vacation. They do like France and not because of Angelina’s mother, who was born in Chicago. Remember, there was also the New Orleans, Texas, and Missouri rumors–”they want to stay close to home”-about the birth. They went to France before Shiloh and then, surprise, surprise, they went off to Africa. Only they know for sure and they are not talking. So, let’s just wait and see. But is is fun to speculate.

Oh, they’re out of the US again. Well, maybe the new baby will really be born in Europe, although of course, we really shouldn’t rely on all the speculation (although I agree it is fun to guess). I do miss seeing their picture, but I still hope they’d be able to avoid the papz for a while in Europe.

I guess it depends on how far along Angelina is so far. Last time, they didn’t actually move to Namibia until about a month before the birth, and up until that point the hot rumour was France as well (people seemed to think she would give birth in the same hospital as Johnny Depp’s wife).

It would be absolutely beautiful living along the French Riviera especially at this time of year! If it’s true, I hope they’re enjoying their time there all together. Must be absolutely heavenly. But who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us by moving again to the final ‘nesting spot’ a little later on. If the baby is not due until August, maybe they won’t make the final arrangements for another month or so? Unless they plan on staying in France for the whole summer.

Sherry, Changeling and Kun Fu Panda are the films shown at Cannnes and not Wanted.
South France was the place where they were under rader of media for two weeks when Angie was pregnant with Shiloh. At that time I thought they were staying at one of their heavyweight friends. I think this visit is just for a vacation before Cannes FF. At Cannes she will promote her three films. Her interview with global media will be released when Wanted and Changeling will open in foreign countries. They will be back to US before Kun FU Panda ( late May premiere if my memory is correct) and Wanted (middle of June premiere) premiers. She will do what actors are obligated for their movie promotions. Even late May I suppose she will be still 8 months. My bet is her due day of natural birth will be early August or late July.

That’s the reason of Brad being in a meeting or talking to lots of people these past few days & Angie with a meeting with this man. They probably finished everything up or seal a deal for a movie before leaving for France. I have a feeling they went there ahead of Cannes for the kids to adjust to school. Remember all the kids are learning how to speak French. They also wanted to relax & enjoy away from the papz. That means we are going to wait till Cannes Festival before we see their pictures again. Hopefully not, I am already missing them. I am happy for them at least we know the whole family are together. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

I don’t know why but France always sounds really romantic to me!!

Hope they have a blast there and more privacy and enjoy their life.

If Angie does give birth there it would be awesome.

    Can’t wait till Cannes!!! =]

Someone is right Sherry. Eonline is not a reliable source. They get their scoop from tabloids too and it is the home of Ryan S. I think France is not the real destination for the birthing. It might be Africa again. Only Brad and Angie know and they are very secretive. If they are in Europe now, it is because of Cannes and Venice festival promos and of course more privacy but I think it is not the birthing destination. Also Marianne is there for them to visit who is a close friend of the JP’s. From now on, the tabs will be speculating any place on the map. It is exciting however to guess until July or August.

It’s ‘Changeling ‘ and not ‘ The Changeling’

I am happy for them to find a quiet place although I do not believe all the rumors that went around of them buying houses all over the world.
There have been plenty of stories them buying houses in Dubai, France, England…
According to some Swiss paper ( a serious newspaper by the way) they are interested in buying a house on the so called Gold Coast of Zürich. Which is an area near the Lake Zürich, very upmarket. They are, according to the report, particularily interested in a newly developed ecological project by the famous architect Zaha Hadid.

I know that the source might not be all that reliable, but if we don’t discuss some of the speculation, this site will be covered in a layer of dust during the times that Brad and Angelina are laying low.

Of course it’s not definite that they will indeed stay in France for the birth, but if they are there early, it’s a possibility. I like trying to guess but guessing sometimes means we have to turn to places that aren’t just People or CNN.

Thank you sunny, for letting me know about the movie title that I had made a mistake with - I shouldn’t write when I’m half asleep! :)

So, is it twins? From the eonline.com report, it’s “babies” plural:

“They love France and will now be here until after the babies are born and Angie is looking at Marseille hospitals as a potential place to give birth.”

if it is true, then I hope they have a great time in France and soak up the sun and have some quality time with the kids away from prying eyes and cameras…

Then again, they could just be there early before Cannes to have a family vacation or some time off (since Brad has been filming lately)…

either way, I hope they enjoy the trip and receive some much needed privacy :-)

    People isn’t a tabloid magazine.

I tried to find a way to get the tabs free for my informal research project, but couldn’t. I couldn’t steal them either, and too bad this isn’t a sponsored scholarly project for which I could get a tax deduction. Too bad the whole tab magazines aren’t online.

There have been studies of tabs, like the one I read recently about the proliferation of tab mags/shows/blogs from over 10 years ago. They also said that the same mags (e.g., Us Weekly) were a lot sleazier now than 10 years ago. I bet these researchers had to have the actual mags in their hands to examine.

I absolutely agree that the best thing is not to give any money to the tab press. I’ll stop in when my husband retires in a couple of years & our budget gets more limited. :-)

In the meantime, I’m enjoying makimg the tab covers with the JPs into a giant art project that proves the bias against them. ;-)

Do you think one of the nannies is a tutor? Mad is what 5 or 6 yrs old, if 5 then he would be in kinder garden not that important, if 6 the he would be in grade one (still not overly important as long as he knows his numbers, abc, is starting to read, and know simple addition). I would guess we may see a real change when he is in grade 2 and absolutely grade 3 when studies become more regular. I kinda hope they go for the tutor because I think they can learn just as much from traveling around the world. Any thoughts?

Sherry - good luck tonight, I hope they make a big comeback go PRICE go!!

    Hi Everyone!

I have a hunch that if the baby is a girl, they will throw Marcheline (Angie’s mum’s name) in her name, and if it is a boy they will throw Bertrand (her mum’s maiden name) in —- let’s see if I get either right!

I will bump this up as need be.

    Hugs,
    Jamie

    Sunny,
You better go to people mag they called the movie ‘ The Changeling’ too. So The Changeling is a 1980’s suspens movie and ‘Changeling’ is AJ and Eastwood’s movie, right?

  • sunny
    Apr 30, 2008 at 6:37 pm

kim, both are mistery and suspense and their titles are confusing. Changeling (2008) is an original story based on a murder case which happened in 1928. I read the report of this case. It was depressing. Challenging will be a dark and deep psychological drama as Clint’s Mistic River.
About media. I occationally read only People’s blog (others are waste of time) Part of People seems to be an HW’s PR machine as the majority of Japanese movie magazines. Their main resources are from star’s and film distributor’s publists. When a publist keep a good relationship with those magazines and sometimes leaks a juisy exclusive to them, their clients get a very positive coverage. The more A-list star clients he/she has the more power he/she has over media. It’s all give and take business between media and industry.

Three bodyguards? Is there any hope one is Bodyguard Bill? Or hope of any more photos of him? Haven’t seen any current photos of BB in ages.

All teasing aside, I think it’s pretty sad when you need three bodyguards …
