Brad co-starring with Gwyneth
Brad Pitt is apparently set to co-star with ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. The story was originally reported by Page Six, which isn’t always the most friendly source, but IMDB confirms it too.
The movie is titled Dirty Tricks and it deals with the after-effects of the Watergate scandal. Brad Pitt will play US official John Dean, who counseled Nixon. Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow will (somewhat ironically) play the role of his wife, Maureen Dean.
The film is listed as being in pre-production and isn’t intended to be released until sometime in 2008. It will also star big names Annette Bening, Sharon Stone, and Meryl Streep.
The negative naysayers should have a field day with this but I just don’t see the big deal at ALL. They dated once upon a lifetime and they’ve both moved on with their own lives. Both Gwyneth and Brad are parents to their own children. Personally, since I find them both to be wonderful actors, I look forward to seeing them co-star together.

I don’t know this news true or not because IMDB is not so reliable source they gives news according to gossip. But I wonder if it is true, when will Brad do this movie because he will start Burn after Reading in August and he will start State of Play in November. Also, I hope Brad will not do this movie. I don’t like Paltrow and I don’t want to watch ex-lovers film. My rejection is not related with their personal lives. Anyway, I read that Brad will go Toronto film festival in September. Another red carpet? I hope so…

i think it’s not a big deal!acting is their job…if all of the ex lovers in hollywood,wont paly a movie with each other…hollywood will be destroy!Gwyneth has 2 kids,and she loves them,and as we all now brad LOVES angelina and their cute kids so much and having family was his dream and the dream come true…so we shouldnt be worried bcuz we know angelina and brad love eachother so much!

Hey, if it will get the sit-com actress off his back and kill The Bermuda Triangle once and for all, I’m all for it! Bring on the Dirty Tricks! haha!!
I’d rather have fake stories about Brad calling GP than Brad calling she-who-shall-not-be-named.
And once the movie is over and Brad remains with Angelina, as we all know he will, then that ought to finally shut a few people up about the staying power of B&A.

lol.. it woulda been great if Ange would had been Brad’s wife in Dirty Tricks but there is also irony in that… being that their together and not married lol.. but i do believe if Gwyneth and him do this movie it will be nothing but professional. I highly doubt that Brad would be leaving Ange and the kids anytime soon.. look at the kids involved in this and how much Brad loves his kids.. and the same goes for Ange look how much she loves those kids especially Maddox she wouldn’t do anything to hurt them. =]

I don’t see this also as a big deal. One way or another they’ll meet the same path, they’re both actors. They’re decent people. If there was a possibilities of coming together for these two in personal lives it already happen a long time ago. The way I see Brad Pitt, he move on with his life. Actors see each other occasionally because of their similar profession and these two are not exception.

I’m so not the same person I was when I was in my early 20s. I’m sure it’s the same with them and do you know it’s going to cause all kinds of controversy and speculation. Just the kind of hype a movie needs. Can’t wait. Although I’m on pins and needles waiting for Beowolf.

IMDB has had Brad attached to this movie since Sept of last year when the director said (paraphasing)that it would be cool if Brad would star in the movie. Variety and Hollywood Reporter has not posted anything about Brad being involved. So I think this is still a rumor because Page six and IMDB don’t have a great record when it comes to factual information.

I don’t think it’s a big deal if they do this movie. I think they are both wonderful actors and have obviously reached wonderful stages in their lives, which they can both again recognise and relate to.
Gwynie moved on when she met and married Chris, now Brad has finally moved on properly with Angie.

Not a big deal if they do the film IMO, but I think this is just regurgitation of the same rumor that’s been going on for a year. IMDB has had this info since Ryan Murphy (the director) spoke about how he was trying to convince Brad to do the film. There has been nothing officially released in the trades (i.e. Hollywood Reporter or Variety) noting him starring in the film and at this point, I would think that’d be the case if true.
Logistically, if he starts shooting State of Play in late November/early December, not sure how he could also be in Dirty Tricks which is slated to start shooting in December. With the family always being together for projects I highly doubt BP would do both films at the same time.
I honestly think he’s only producing the film.

I have always like Gwyneth.. she is a classy woman and whom Brad was in love with.. both still keep a good friendship even though they have both moved on forever long!! I’m glad to hear that they are working together again..
anyways, Brad was super close to her father and even attended his burial…
I look forward to seeing this movie!! I hope the their kids also become friends…

I just came from JJ’s site and read most of the comments there (very long) and some regular haters of Brad and Angie of course were commenting like crazy. This newsclip came from Page six and IMDB. It did not come from Cyndy G. Brad’s publicist. Why would this rumor come out now? Lainey has been gushing over this rumor six months ago. I personally think Brad should not sign up for this movie (just remain producer) because no matter how strong Angie and Brad’s relationship and Gwen/Chris relationship; it is the media who will have a frenzy the day they start shooting this film. And all the evil stories will fall on Angie. “Angie storms out when Gwen and Brad held hands at the set…..” or “Brad told Gwen, you are the real love of my life after all…” Boy, I can see it now, Janice “Mean” is looking at big bucks headline covers. Poor Angie. I wish they get Leonardo Di Caprio or Collin F. to play John Galt opposite her. At least fair is fair. Call me delusional but I want to protect Angie too from these tabs. But I know tabs will never leave her alone. Just hope Brad makes the right decisions and choices. Hello to Irma, Tondo Girl and my other kababayans. Irma, sa UE ka pala. I dont see any thing wrong with this at all. You make me feel Brad is stupid Which his not by not trusting him to be professional. Brad is a complete man with pride and we should respect him. Its not his fault that his last reletionship didnt work.

It would be awesome if it were true.
Gwyneth is friendly w/ both Angie (Sky Captain premiere) and Brad (she was chatting w/ him showing him baby pictures of Apple after he asked her about the baby back in 2005). I’m glad they moved on and grew up (it’s been 10 years!!) and are all adults about it and can be friendly and civil about things.

If Brad and Gwyneth performing together gives reasons to the haters and low-level press to gossip, I think Brad & Ange can’t care less ;) They are clever and strong enough to live above ALL the bad stuff told about them, and personally I think Gwyneth is a good actress and I have read she always remains friends with her exs so…when 2 persons are top level professionals, and keep in good terms among each other, why wouldn’t they work together?
