Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Namibia
Anouk Zijlma, the Go Africa guide at About.com has written a great article on Namibia and why it is an excellent choice for Brad and Angelina to have their baby:
While the media are making great play about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie having their child in (shock, horror) a developing country, Namibia is really quite modern. For those who have a little money, the private hospitals are excellent, restaurants serve western fare, accommodations are clean and modern, English is widely spoken, it’s one of the safest countries in Africa, and people are very friendly.
Namibia is also remarkably beautiful and very sparsely populated, so if you’re looking for some wide open spaces with no one bothering you, Namibia is a good choice. The population of Namibia is just under 2 million people and they live in an area that covers 500,000 square miles. This means Brad Pitt can ride a quad bike on the dunes without too much fear of bumping into anyone.
I also ran across this blurb from the Chicago Tribune about the Burning Shore resort in Namibia:
[...] Jolie is flying her OB-GYN in from the U.S., and she and Brad Pitt have rented out all seven rooms and five suites of Namibia’s Burning Shore resort for the next two months, at a cost of $325,000.
And one more fairly unrelated tidbit to help catch up a bit, JustJared has a great post from yesterday full of Brad multimedia (Brad singing, an Edwin Jeans commercial), so be sure and not miss that!

Hey Pittwatch…did you hear that Cruise Alien was born yesterday? I like what Laineygossip had to say about TOMKAT’s new arrival (Sci arrival)vs. our much awaited JoliePitt baby:
“Well as always, in times of turmoil and crisis brought on by Little Sci arrivals, when armageddon is upon us, when we are forced to make right from wrong, good usually does prevail, gossips. Be strong and be optimistic.
And if you are afraid, if you are hiding in your basement, look forward to Baby JoliePitt. She will save us all.”

Angelina Jolie Calls for Action

While preparing for the birth of her baby with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has stepped up a campaign to save the lives of mothers, fathers and children in Darfur, Sudan.
Jolie, 30, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, plans to take out a large advertisement in USA Today on her own accord next week, explaining in her words the past killings of 400,000 civilians by the Sudanese government-supported militia Janjaweed and the need to stop the violence.
“I chose to take out this ad because when Congress returns from recess (on April 24) they have the chance to fully fund peacekeepers in Darfur,” Jolie tells PEOPLE. “The situation in Darfur has been going on far too long. It’s only getting worse. Reports are pouring in about mass atrocities including children getting raped and killed. If people are aware of the facts, I believe many will be driven to action.”
Jolie, who notes in the ad “I’m an actress, and certainly no foreign policy expert,” has visited the region twice – once in October 2004 and again in June 2004.
She asks those interested in the campaign to visit the Web site http://www.genocideintervention.net or call 202-224-3121.
Although she’s eight months pregnant and presently staying in Namibia with Pitt, 42, and their kids, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1, “she’s right there personally e-mailing, dictating, giving creative input,” says Trevor Neilson, who works as a philanthropic adviser to Jolie and Pitt. “This project is her vision, her concept.”

well lets try to stay positive viva….I try to not focus on the negative and I have to say my opinion of her has come a long way from a year ago…I think I changed my tune about her after her interview on night line and I enjoyed listening to her and what she had to say …as far as what she stood for etc……I can relate but I do feel she has some issues she needs to deal with ………but like I said I can relate to alot of what she had to say …So from that point on I have been interested in what she gets up to …not because of her and Brad ..I still think Brad and jennifer looked so good together and that is my opinion….but thats neither hear nor there …I just think she is interesting and has alot of ( not sire I can say that word online) ha ha I like to be like her …as far as riding motorcycles and being a pilot and traveling the world and helping out…My husband works in Iraq and is taking care of the united nations camp over there and has been there for 2 years now and afganistan a year before that ..after seeing her on night line I keep trying to get my husand to get me a job with united nations …I love ot help out…I wish angelina ran a group to help out … ..I sign up in a heartbeat!!

Angelina Jolie to raid tombs again
2006-04-20 12:30:02
Angelina Jolie is set to reprise her role as busty archaeologist Lara Croft in ‘Tomb Raider 3′.
The actress - who is heavily pregnant with lover Brad Pitt’s baby - will start training for the role shortly after giving birth, despite once vowing she would never slip into Lara’s skimpy costume again.
The character’s creator Ian Livingston told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Paramount has optioned it and Angelina has agreed to star in the third.”
Angelina, who has two adopted children, four-year-old Maddox and baby Zahara, is said to be determined to get her body in shape for the part.
A source said: “Angelina is already in training to make sure she gets rid of her post-pregnancy bulge.
“She wants to be in tip-top shape and look better in Lara’s outfit than ever.”
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed Angelina - who is due to give birth next month - and Brad are set to marry in Africa.
The couple sparked wedding rumours after tightening security at the Namibian hideaway they have been staying at for several days.

yeah thats cool viva..I also read today that there will be a oceans 13…so it looks like there idea of taking a couple years off after the birth of there child is NOT going to happen as Angelina has another movie on hold till after the birth of her child…( which I think will be a boy) ha ha ha So that makes two movies for her and all her duties as GOOD WILL AMBASSADOR….I love the lara croft movies…she is great in them that is for sure…
As far as her fitting in to her skimmpy outfit..please the girl was too thin anyways…she has big boobs and she is so tiny in her arms and legs …I dont think she will have to work too hard after giving birth…she will look great I am sure. She has not really gained any weight as it is …yeah more in her boobs and her belly which is all baby ……I think she may be more curvy after giving birth…
Having a baby changes your body….this is why I only have one child! haha I have yet to recover from that and she is turning 15… ha ha ha I work out at least 4 -6 days a week and I will never look like Angelina…too short at 5 4…… ha ha
I am so looking forward to her movie good shepard…when is that out does anyone know…

3 days ago, from the New York Metro online:
http://www.newyorkmetro.com/news/features/16652/
Long article, but intersting commentary and a little bit of “scoop”…supposedly.
TidBits:
“like moths to a flame, the paparazzi are getting ready for the Brangelina baby. According to those whose business it is to know such things, Jolie will likely give birth at Paris’s American Hospital during the first week of May, although she’s also believed to have booked rooms at Cedars-Sinai and Malibu’s St. John’s Hospital and may have done the same at hospitals in London, Berlin, and a Third World country—possibly Ethiopia, from where she adopted her daughter, Zahara. (Some of the same people who claim to have a good idea about where and when Jolie will give birth also seem to have a good idea about how: They say it will be a C-section. They also say it’s a boy.)”….

Here’s something > http://thetrack.bostonherald.com/moreTrack/view.bg?articleid=136008
The NYTimes says this (yes, they acctual say it) that this is bigger than when people were waiting for Jesus. (Well, there’s alot more people on the planet now… so It’s true from a global perspective… but as a Christian, that just doesn’t sit well with me.)
ALSO…
Looks like they are staying put in Africa for the birth and it may be a water birth, which doesn’t suprise me at all.
