Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sightings on Long Island

Several of our great PittWatch readers have mentioned that there have apparently been sightings of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie around Long Island but that they have been luckily enough to duck out of the paparazzi line of sight.
Yesterday I received an email from Lisa confirming this. After requesting her permission to share her words (and getting a yes!), here’s the story:
I did want to email you that yes, Brad & Angie are here on Long Island. I work in Huntington village and live in the area and yes, they are staying at the mansion on Lloyd Neck a few miles up the road from the village. My boss is also on Lloyd Neck and a few neighbors have spotted them in cars. And a few of his neighbors also saw Brad at East Woods School apparently speaking to the school about signing up the little ones for pre-school until the end of the school year. It’s private, pre-school thru elementary. A few went up to him to say hello and they said he was very nice and easy going. He also stopped into DaRaimo’s pizza for a slice to go a couple of weeks ago. And yes the property they are on, which is bordered by Caumsett Park and the LI Sound, would be very condusive to not having to take the kids “out” anywhere. But Huntington is an upscale cute village with shops, restaurants and a really nice toy store!!
So I’m hoping to spot them one day before they go!
So now we know why we haven’t been having many opportunities to see Brad and Angelina or the kids lately. They’ve been enjoying Long Island, relaxing, and possibly considering extending their stay for a little while.
I would love to see some photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on Long Island but if they’re managing to have some quiet time, all the better for them!

Brad and Angie know how to stay away from the papz. Think they get better every day. Glad they are able to spend time away from the papz. But even more glad to hear about them and where they are staying. It is so funny how there were so many other rumors out there on where they are staying. Love this couple.

i’m so glad that their alright and having their happy private time all by themselves.. keeping away from those pesty rumors.. glad to hear the kids are going to school, i’m gonna be a teacher so really education is in to me.. wish someday i could teach the JP kids.. hehehe..
and with this, the rumor about Angie and Brad going or arriving here in Philippines is finally over with this news. maybe as for the opening of that luxury resort they wanted some publicity so that many people will go there. and they choose the JP’s because their famous.

What I find interesting is that Lisa said Brad was seen at the East Woods school, apparently signing the little ones up for “pre-school”. I wonder if that means that there is a Lycee Francias in or near Long Island that Maddox (since Pax’s birthday is in November, I’m guessing he probably just missed the Kindergarten “cut-off” and is still in preschool with Zee and Shi) is/will be attending.
Part of me wonders if he’s attending the Lycee Francias in NYC that he’s attended before…But you’d think the paps would have snapped pictures of him getting dropped off and picked up if that was the case.
Anyway, this just goes to show that the WHOLE family is staying in LI (as opposed to Angie staying in a hotel in NYC) and the tabs were wrong as usual!

kimmy- Relax! That was just a tab rumor, and they’d done the “Angie collapses!” story many times in the past. I’m sure Angie’s fine!

Thanks Lisa for the update. Lucky girl – I have my fingers crossed you will be able to see them before they go! It’s nice to hear that the Jolie-Pitts are getting some privacy and enjoying Long Island together.
Like you, joliepittfanatic, I’m also curious about the preschool. I think it’s probably just for the younger kids (Shiloh, Zahara and Pax as you said) as Maddox is probably well involved with his tutoring by now, and if he was back at Lycee Francais, there would be tonnes of pictures, as there were in 2007. (I think the whole spectacle created when dropping off and picking up from school was one of the reasons they decided to homeschool, but I could be wrong). Maybe they decided to enrol the young kids for a little while, just to keep them busy during the day (as they’re really too young for proper tutoring, and need more hands on playing at that age) and to give Brad a break from having all six kids at home while Angie is filming.
Glad to read that they are enjoing the East Coast. Beautiful place their staying at hope they get plenty of rest and enjoyment of it.

I am so proud of Brad and Angie for not parading themselves in front of the foolish tabloids. They are a happy family and all these stories have been told and retold before. They must have a good laugh in the tub at night. The media is not getting what they want so they do what they do. Create!!!!!

Brad Pitt with Mike Holmes on television tonight!
When I was very young our neighbors in NJ had a second home on the Long Island Sound. They were kind enough to take me on many weekends. What a beautiful place. I am sure that they are enjoying some normal life there. I believe that the people that live there will give them all the privacy that they want. Friendly, but not over bearing. I also miss seeing the pictures but I guess if they are happy that is all that matters.

Gee Sherry snd Lisa, Thanks for the updates about our “folks” Brad,Angie and the kids! It is just so nice to have this site. I like many people get so frustrated with the tabs and the crazy stories they come up with regarding this family. I am also very happy for the continued success of this family. I applaud the lengths that this mom and dad take to protect their children. I am also a little weary of not seeing them but they really deserve a break. I wish they could somehow find a way to do Disneyworld or Disneyland. I am glad that they figured a way to stay out of the radar of the craziness

anotherbix- I agree, and that was actually what I wanted to say (in regards to Mad being involved with his tutoring and all that). I just didn’t know quite how to word it. I was going to say that maybe they wanted the younger kids to socalize with other kids, but then realized that didn’t really make sense as they’d probably want Maddox to socialize as well if that were the case.
However, I realize now that what I was trying to figure out how to say is what you did: That the younger kids are a bit too young for proper tutoring (although I read somewhere that Maddox started having tutors when he was 3…But who knows how much tutoring was actually involved. I imagine they were just teaching him very basic stuff, as well as maybe a little Khmer, which is Cambodia’s native language, just as they, at least as of last summer per an interview Angie gave, have a Vietnamese person to help Pax retain his native tongue.).
I’m guessing another reason for enrolling the younger kids in preschool might be to give Maddox some time without, with the exception of the twins, his younger siblings around. From the pictures we’ve seen, Mad seems like a very devoted big brother, but, like just about any kid his age, I’m sure he enjoys having time to himself as well.
I also agree that the spectacle, as you put it, created by dropping of the kids and picking them was probably part of the reason they decided to homeschool. I mean, I remember when they were in NYC back in 2007, and the Lycee Francias actually had to send out a note to parents, requesting them to not mob Angie and Brad when they dropped Maddox off and picked him up (from what I read, some of the parents were actually trying to get Angie’s and Brad’s autographs and also take pictures of them with their cameras and cellphones!).
That tells me that, more than likely, the situation with the paps and the other parents was disruptive to the other kids attending the school as well as Maddox.
I also hope that, if indeed Brad DID sign the younger kids up for preschool, the parents of the other kids there won’t act all crazy and star-struck because their kids are going to the same school as Angie and Brad’s kids (I can especially see people going nuts over their kids attending the same pre-school as Shiloh!).
By that I mean I hope they’ll leave Angie and Brad alone, and won’t try to get playdates and stuff with the kids just so they can say their kids played with the J-P kids (in otherwords, wanting playdates with the kids just because of who their parents are)!
I hope the teachers will also keep their cool!

As much as I h8te the tabs, I DO have to give them props after what I saw today. While most of them DO have blurbs about Angie and Brad on the side of the cover, at least three of them (Ugh Weakly, Rats, and Out of Touch) do NOT have them as their main cover story. I did not see Life & Style or OK, so I don’t know whether they have Angie and Brad as their main cover story this week or not.
Ugh Weakly does not even have them as a blurb on the side of the cover.

That’s cool Dylan! I’m glad to hear all these stories. Hope all goes well with preschool. I guess in France they don’t have deal with these crazy people as much. Isn’t there a law in France about not taking kids pics too? That would really work out for them.
ughhh yeah….eastwoods school goes up to 9th grade…..im in 9th hehe. yeah i just had like a 25 min comversation with brad the other day. hes very normal and unlike other celebs. he really wants the best for his children.

they are not living on lloyd neck even though they are on long island your information is wrong- but regardless the people of long island are making it very hard for the family and children to have a normal life and for those of us living near them so please just let them be normal and just leave them alone. if you all continue to do as you are trying to find them and see your CELEBRITY if that makes you happy they will leave. so long islanders….mind your own business

i live in the town where they were spotted at the other day and they were spotted again just today at our local grocery store. lol at the comment above for assuming that the long islanders are making it hard for them to live a normal life. the area i’m from is at least very private and peaceful so no worries there.

LOL Why are you lying? Brad was in Long island with Angie and the kids. He and Angelina were seen shooping on Borders in Syosset on the weekend.
I just need to add one thing, NO they are not living in Lloyd Harbor. They are living five doors down from me, somewhere near Oyster Bay but I don’t want to say exactly where for their own privacy. They have been spotted several times in Oyster Bay and Syosset, my friend who saw them said people respected their privacy as does everyone in my quiet neighborhood. Is is very unchararteristic in this affluent areas for anyone to act very starstruck. She said they looked like 2 regular people with their kids super market shopping…period end of story. I don’t know why the above person said they live in Lloyd Harbor, not true.
