Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Asprey jewelry line

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have moved into jeweler territory by designing some jewelry for high end company Asprey. The couple has designed rings, cuff links, bracelets, spoons, cups, and more all in a snake-like design. In fact, Angelina even wore one of the bracelets to the BAFTA awards, which you can see in this picture:
The reason for the snake symbol is explained as being because Angelina received a snake ring as a gift while she was pregnant with Shiloh. Angelina then attributed the role of protector and talisman to the serpent.
The designs are quite nice. I like the double-sided snake bracelet very much and I also love the baby spoon. I know a lot of people are afraid of snakes so they might be a little leery of jewelry like this but I’ve always loved snakes and have a ring in the shape of one myself.
The collection is called – appropriately enough – “The Protector” and all proceeds will benefit one of Angelina’s charity organizations, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. Angelina helped found the charity three years ago.
Unfortunately, a company like Asprey is out of my price range, but hopefully the pieces will be snatched up by people with deeper pockets than mine.

i love the plain gold serpent one with emerald / green eyes. (i think i saw it on the other site)
the designs are great and what’s cool about it is that it’s a protector. i would love to have it too but it’s too expensive for my price range. haha.
I am personally not a snake person, but in many cultures, the snake is sacred, so that is good. There were a couple of cuff bracelets with dangling jewels that were beautiful and the snake was a bit more subdued that I would love, if I was rich. Apparently, Miss Vivienne was also wearing some of the children’s pieces, so she is already a model.
I really like this project as they both get to use their creative sides and work together on something important to the both of them. And provide funding for a good cause (not take the money and run like so many other celebrities). I liked Brad’s Damiani line as well, so if he stops acting, he has a good side job. He really shows his artistic side in designing jewelry, (inspired by Angelina), photography (photographing his family–mostly Angelina) and his love of architecture. He and Angelina make a great team.
What a wonderful thing to do. The jewelery is lovely, and I do like that spoon. I cannot decide if I like that or the bracelet best.
It’s out of my price range too, I’m sure. It’s fantastic that all of the money will be going to charity though. These are the stories I enjoy the most. God Bless them. (:
I love the idea of a Protector in a line of jewlery. I don’t mind snakes, I just don’t want to be around them.Mary Ann, do you remember when we first hit this site and B&A were just starting? What a long trial that has been.I still think they are socially awkward,but they have grown so much.Brad has turned from being a face into a man/father/artist of sorts, Angie has turned from finding herself into a woman/humanitarian/mom. I believe they have now feel like they fit in their skins.

Exquisite pieces. I like all the designs, but my favorites are the bracelets and diamond ring. I understand in Cambodia there are a lot of stone sculptures of nagas (snakes) protecting Buddha.
For five years we’ve heard the same rubbish from the tabs & some mainstream media, but Brad & Angie just keep chugging along raising kids, working on projects together, and being sought after by producers, directors, and authors to star in their movies. They could be the stars of the Nike “Just Do It” ad campaign. They don’t waste time worrying about the gossip. They’re too busy. Love it!!!
I love the jewelry. Wish I could afford it. But I am sure it will do well for there charity.
I like it because the proceeds are going for good cause but don’t like snakes too much! However, I do support their work. Go Ange & Brad!

I just have to say that no, Brad was not inspired by Angelina to design jewelry! He´s done so long before even meeting her. He designed Jennifer´s engagement ring, and their wedding rings, and they were beautiful. He´s definitely got taste and a good eye!
As much as I´d love to like this new jewelry, it is not my taste. But it doesn´t have to be! I think it´s fantastic that they´re donating all profits to a charity. As someone pointed out, they can do what they like (design – btw, I didn´t know Angelina was into designing, too!), and do something good with it at the same time!!

I love jewelry and I love unusual designs. The designs remind me of John Hardy’s dragon inspired “macan” design. If the ring and bracelet are in my price range, I’d love to have one (or both)of them. Maybe I can get them on line.

I saw the photos on X17, too…and they’re claiming his beard is for a movie (they said “Yes, we know it’s for a movie!”). How on Earth do they know that?
Oh, and I’m sort of lukewarm about snakes, but I love that they’re doing yet another thing for charity!
I saw latest show from Smap X Smap. Brad and Tarantino were promoting Inglorious Bastard. The interpretor I mentioned the other day(she told her audience that Brad has evolved from a boy to a man after having Angie in his life)was also with Brad. Brad’s favorite Japanese movies are all from Hayao Miyazaki(I am also one of Miyazaki fans). I’m sure Bastard will defeat 2012 which also debut this weekend.
And I read that Bob Marshall comfirmed that he will direct Pirates 4. He will be busy until March if Nine will be nominated for Oscar, though. But I’m worried that Johnny may not have time for The Tourist.
The other day Disney’s Robert Iger said that they want the shooting will start next Spring.
I love these jewelries! There isn´t anything this couple can´t do. I would love to buy one of the rings and a bracelet but they´re out of my price range. I also love that baby spoon. Maybe the twins have those spoons. It´s wonderful that the money goes for the charity. Especially to help children. That shows how much children mean to Brad and Angie. They have six of their own and more will sure come in the future. Mad, Pax, Zee, Shi, Knox and Viv are very, very lucky to have parents like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie! God bless them all always!

ROBERT DE NIRO can’t get enough of Angelina Jolie.
The actor, 66, tells “Extra” Jolie, 34, is one of the actors he’d “love to work with.”
“It depends on the project [who would be] at the top of my list… wonderful actresses,” De Niro says. He and Jolie co-starred in the 2006 period drama “The Good Shepherd.”

This is TOTALLY out of topic but I just happened to see the pic of Marcheline holding a 4-month-old Angie in her arms in People Magazine. If I already didn´t know that it was Marcheline holding baby Angie I would have thought that it was Angie holding Viv. The similarity is SOOO striking. Angie looks exactly like her late mum and Angie as a baby looks exactly like Viv. What a shame that Marcheline didn´t live long enough to see Knox and Vivienne (and Pax). She would have loved all those three very much. Could someone please be so kind as to send a link to that beautiful pic of Marcheline and baby Angelina! Thank you!

I was incredibly sad when I learned her mom passed.
And rather surprised that I felt that way. I guess because Angelina is so open I just felt like I kind of knew her, and it was like learning a friend’s mom was no longer with us. And I remember wanting to hug her. I know, its crazy. I try to stay away from most of the personal stuff but when something like that happens you can’t help but feel so horrible.

Does anyone have read about this book which is coming out about Brad and Angelina where it seems to portray Mrs Jolie as an evil doer in Mr Pitt’s relation with is ex-wife. I do not know anything about it but it seems that lots of thing are going on in here and it is almost irritating not to have a light of sensibility or respect of both parties. But maybe Sherry you have some info to share to us about all this.

I love those designs. The snake spoon is so cute. Wish I could afford to buy them. But a bit beyond my hip pocket.
So many celebrities bring out products and then keep the proceeds for themselves. It is fantastic that the proceeds are going to charity. I love AJ for this reason.
However, Michael Tsarion is going to have a field day with this in regards to the shape shifting reptilian aspect. He has made comments about Angelina in the past, so the symbolism here will only add fuel to that fire.
Elaine, that was so nicely put. Unfortunately there are plenty of sad and lonely people out there who can’t stand Angie because she is everything they want to be, but never will be. Jealousy creates hatred I guess. I stopped reading those type of comments/magazines long ago, it was bringing me into a really negative place and I started to believe awful things. I don’t want to think horrible things about people, especially children. I think that’s the sickest thing.. picking on innocent little kids.

They truly are wonderful human beings. I wish I could buy the beautfiul white gold, diamonds and emerald ring or pendant, but I think it is a little out of my price range. I wish on the website they had an estimated price so that I could work out exactly how much each item is, if not to buy but just to see how much good they are doing by giving 100% of profits to charity. I love Angelina, she is the single most amazing person alive. And Brad too. They are just both so amazing. I can’t wait to see Salt!
