Brad Pitt and George Clooney - the Bromance

September 4, 2008 by Sherry

65th Venice Film Festival: Opening Ceremony & Burn After Reading Premiere - Arrivals

I know how we all feel about some of the stories that come out of US Weekly magazine. But I also know how I happen to feel about Brad Pitt and George Clooney. I laughed the first time I heard someone refer to their friendship as a “bromance”.

So when I saw that US Weekly had done a photo spread of the Brad Pitt & George Clooney “Bromance” I had no choice but to share it with you.

Check it out here. Enjoy!

Brad and George are my favorite bromance - and I think of the whole Ocean’s gang as *The* Entourage. Oh, to be invisible and watch and hear them joke with each other - also talk about their humanitarian work, the state of the world, their partners and kids…

UNDER MOD: Brad and George are my favorite bromance . . .

  3. Ligaya says:

hee - one sentence UNDER MOD. ;-)

Thanks for the link, Gena. OT: leaving for Toronto Saturday with mom and hubby. We’ll be sure to try the famous Canadian treat “poutine” (sp?). Any other Canadian cuisine we should be sure to try? If we could see/do only one thing in Toronto – what do Canadian Pittwatchers recommend? Not counting travel days, we’re only in Toronto four days – 10 films and one after-party with Broken Social Scene. We’re watching 2 Filipino films – Bayan Ko by Lino Brocka, considered to be the best Filipino director ever, and Adela. Others include Agnes Varda’s La Pointe Courte, and one for Sherry - Heart of Jenin, about a young Palestinian boy killed by Israeli troops whose father decided to donate his son’s organs to five Israelis of different religions and ethnicities.

    lol at the bromance. :)

Ligaya, I just love your posts….they are so funny. I love that “one sentence–under mod” …LOL
It’s the same with “just” your name. When I read that one–I shot coffee all over my computer screen =)

  7. Ligaya, you truely are the Moderation Queen! No one can compete with you on this…lol. Have you considered changing your name for your entry here? It may work.

As for Brad and George “bromance”, I agree these two guys are so funny when they are together. The way they together poke fun on Matt Damon is also very funny.

As for Brad’s appearance, I wish that he would lose his goatee as well as his hat. I am one of those women who do not like men with any kind of beard/moustach/goatee… LOL. But I guess he doesn’t care as long as Angie likes it.

Thanks Gena for the link. I’m so relieved to read something possitive because some critic’s were saying it wasn’t that good. I just don’t know how a movie with this caliber of stars, could go wrong.

I so miss Angelina! I’m desperate to see her haha but i’m glad she’s getting some peace with the twins. I like the pics but i must admit i do deteste US Weekly. They generally have a negative air about them when it comes to Brad and Ange so i will never purchase their magazine.

  10. Ela says:

Too much hotness for one world:) Seriously, these two are great guys.

  11. brandie says:

First of all, they both look hot & delicious.
Secondly, Lara, thanks for the video - just love it.

Just goes to prove that even at 69 years of age two great looking men can make your heart pound. They have always been great looking but with age I think they are even more appealing.
Ligaya, have a nice safe trip. Enjoy and remember what I said that if you see Brad take a dive and being the gentleman he is he will help you up and then you can let him know how much we all care here at Pittwatch about him and his wonderful family.
I also miss Angie so much. Wonder who Brad will take with him to Toronto because we all know that certain media will be saying he is meeting Jen in a back alley some place. I am really getting a little sick of all the crap they have to contend with.

while in TO you must must go up the CN tower and have diner or lunch in the rotating dining room. Also Toronto has some great museums, hockey hall of fame, etc…. also you have to take a walk down Queen Street great designer boutiques. And of course the professional sports events, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, lacrosse. but the cn tower is a must for an tourist. hope you enjoy Toronto.

  14. irma says:

Still hopeful that we will see Angie with Brad tonight. I miss her. BBL. Got to go to work. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

  15. Sherry says:

Ligaya - Montreal’s poutine will always kick Toronto’s butt, but I hear it’s gotten better. Poutine looks awful but it is so delicious. I can eat a heaping plateful to myself and craved it crazily during the first trimester of my second pregnancy. :)

Though I was born in Toronto, I came to Montreal when I was only 6 months old and I’ve only been back there once, but definitely the CN tower and I have heard that their Chinatown is pretty great as well.

I wish I could go to TIFF but alas, it’s just not a good time - my oldest is in her first week of grade one, my husband has erratic work hours right now, and we just adopted a Beagle puppy so I can’t really get away for a five-hour drive right now!

There are pics of Brad leaving France and heading to Toronto on Just jared. He’s alone no kids with him this time

Thanks for the link. I just love the two of them. I love when men have good, close personal relationships with other men. I think it makes them a better partner. I think it was wonderful that they hit if off so well in Oceans 11, and that the friendship has lasted. They are just perfect together. Soooo funny it is beyond words. I will be at the theather on Friday to see BAR. If the storm passes my City. We are really worried about Ike. But please all Jolie/Pitt/ Clooney fans, get to the theather and see the movies.

  18. Ligaya says:

Thanks for the link, Lara. The lyrics are perfect for Angelina - which is how I heard it the first time.

Mary Ann, by the time we arrive in Toronto tomorrow night, I think Brad may have flown the coop. :-( But I’ll send him and the rest of the JP family vibes about how much we Pittwatchers love them.

Great suggestions, Kim and Sherry. I especially like the one about the revolving restaurant on top of the CN Tower. Chinatown too, if we have time. Any Pinays in Toronto, can you recommend a good Filipino restaurant – fancy or hole-in-the-wall – OK?

Fan from VN, I like your suggestion. My mom says Ligaya means happy, joyful, or merry. If “ma” is put in front of it – Maligaya - it means *very* happy, joyous or merry. So I’ll try that.

ha ha, a while back I cancelled my subscription to US weekly. They actually called to ask me why and boy did I give them an earful about their negative and inaccurate stories about Brad and Angie. They must have gotten alot of cancellations if they bothered to call. Boo Ya!
