Brad Pitt and the Boys are in and out of Venice
With Angelina Jolie at home with Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt back in France, it was only a whirlwind visit when Brad Pitt was spotted leaving Venice with Maddox and Pax. They were cruising out on a water taxi to head out when photographers spotted them.
He might have only been in town a short time, but Brad made the most of it. Apparently his charity dinner that he co-hosted with George Clooney for Not On Our Watch was quite the hit. And I was wrong too - I guess the duo managed to look wide awake and refreshed for their Wednesday morning photocall on precious little sleep after all. According to People, the party was a roaring success with 200 VIPs in attendance, and both Brad and George had a late night:
“We’ve had a lot to drink,” said a jacketless Pitt, 44, laughing and raising his champagne glass. A tan and trim-looking Clooney, 44, had his shirt unbuttoned.
George Clooney turned in at a little after 2 a.m., while Brad chatted it up until 3 before turning in.
Meanwhile, Burn After Reading is getting some mixed reviews from the critics, although the general word seems to be that Brad does a great job in his role. I’m not surprised by the mixed reviews, to be honest. While I know that I’m probably going to enjoy the movie, that’s because I know that I’ve liked Coen brothers’ movies in the past. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it’s not the first time they’ve gotten thumbs up and thumbs down in the same article.
I’m sure Brad and Angelina were happy to be back together at home in France; it was only a few days, and they’ve done it before (such as when Angelina was in Prague and Brad had to fly out to Montreal for a couple of days to film something for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), but they make such an effort to not be separated from each other or the kids that a few days is likely plenty long enough for the Jolie-Pitt family.

this is the first time the boys went with Brad. Guess he was giving Angie a break from all 6 kids. He is a good dad. I am sure the boys are happy to see mom and siblings and Angie is happy to see them.
There are pics at X-17 of after party following the premier. Someone had posted that Brad had a little too much to drink. I have only seen them on X-17 but not on Getty or Bauer. I really think it the fast action of the camera that is taking awkward pics of Brad.
Pax seems full of life as they leave and Mad looks a little shy.

I am sending this email from Manila. I arrived yesterday via Quantas. The internet use here is cheaper than Australia. 20 pesos for one hour. Thanks Sherry for all the updates of BAR premier. I took two posters of Brad at Brisbane airport: two jewelry stores advertising tageur watch that he was wearing. One photo appreared on a magazine before. In Australia, Woman’s Day is a tabloid so I bought the Australian version of People called Hello.

I love Brad and Angelina!!!!!!!! I will be seeing Burn After Reading when it comes out here, it looks so funny. I bet Angelina is so proud of Brad and all that he’s doing to raise money and also his award. Brad has to be over the moon in love with Angelina as well for giving him the family he always dreamed of.

Pictures are fine, he is not drunk at all, tabloids made a big deal out of it, they need to sell their magazines that’s all. Seeing him drinking with other people, he is an adult, he needs to enjoy once in a while but I doubt he gets drunk though. Brad knows better & remember he his with his sons to check at night. Now he is back home in France, his daddy duty again with 6 kids.
Lucy, enjoy your vacation, how long you are going to stay there? I will visit Philippines in 3 years.

looks like Brad has slimed down some. so what if he had a few. sometimes you just gotta let loose. The kids were tucked away safe and sound with a sitter and daddy had a night to himself. hell, I have done that myself. 6 kids in 3 yrs, heck he deserves a drink and a night out with friends and peers plus he was doing a good thing.

The mixed reviews are not a surprise - you are bang on Sherry! I guess not everyone can appreciate the genius that is the Coen bros. I, for one, will be heading out to the theatre to see Burn after Reading, because I’m sure it’s brilliant. I don’t run out to see every Brange pic either - this one looks like it could become a classic. I’m super excited about it!

(Actually the horror was also caused by incompetence of the Army Corps of Engineers, officials at all levels from mayor to governor and legislature to the White House (in charge of FEMA). But much of what visitors enjoy were largely spared, and the food and music that makes New Orleans special has never gone away. The historic St. Charles railway is back in service, as are many other institutions temporarily closed by Katrina. New Orleans could still use our business – they haven’t recovered 100%. So go, eat, drink and be merry! And do it all over again. ;-) It’s easy – that’s why it’s called the Big Easy. (I’ve no idea why NOLA is called the Big Easy.)
Anderson Cooper on CNN always does a fine job following New Orleans in Katrina’s wake. I recommend 3 documentaries that helped me understand and appreciate New Orleans – pre and post-Katrina: 1. The definitive, shocking and heartbreaking analysis is of course, Spike Lee’s “When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts.” 2. In limited release, “Trouble on the Water” is the story of a couple who stayed while Katrina raged and what happened afterwards – you-are-there-eyewitness report with raw footage. Executive-produced by actor/activist Danny Glover, TOTW won the Grand Jury at this year’s Sundance. 3. “Faubourg Treme: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans” – look for this low budget movie, no budget for ads; this area was hit hard by Katrina, like the Lower 9th Ward. It’s largely unknown rich history provides insights to NO, racism against blacks and how they survived it, and its reach into the rest of the U.S.

It may sound alittle off but I hope Angie will stop having young lady as their kids’ nannies. maybe it sounds ridiculous and I’m alittle too much worried but i heard alot about nannies and i will never go with young nannies.
and again it is just me but i don’t like the idea of brad staying up and parting with someone like GC until 3 a.m,i mean he is father of 6 and i really think she should act alittle different. and after BAR’s premiere later night,he was at dinner until 12 p.m,and was seen leaving the poolside bar with bottle according to People.com. I seriously hope brad will stop doing this kind of job.maybe i’m too worried, and i think tabs are getting to me,hopefully Brad won’t fuel them anymore with this kind of actions.

JJB, try not to worry. My feeling is that Brad knows just how far to go when he is out without Angie. This was a special night for Brad and George, working for a cause that means so much to them. I don’t think that either of them would do something that gives people something to talk about. But I understand your worry we all want this family to stay together forever.

Mary Ann you are right,I was going to post that I sounded alittle childish in my post,but as you told I want this family to stay together for a long time,and I have to confess that I went to FF for the first time today and they with all their inside claim and their story about Brad and Angie’s life which probably you all know is about break up and split got me.I was sad and was in believable spot at that time,and then I read this and I was like oh no,another thing for Tabs to talk about. after writing that I was like so what if he was drunk!even if he was it was nothing hurtful to Angie and kids because he went home after midnight and kids were slept by then so they never saw their father like that,and i think men needs boys night out once in a while.thank you and i’m sorry if i sounded l*natic.

I definitely don’t think it’s a big deal at all. If he was getting drunk every night, seen stumbling out of bars like Lindsay Lohan used to do, then yeah I’d worry. But having a few drinks here and there isn’t a big deal, even if he did get a bit drunk in Venice.
I think it’s good for anyone - men AND women - to be able to let loose and have a good time now and then and to remember who they are besides Mom and Dad. I don’t party much, but I do enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or a beer in the evening sometimes, and I’m still a mostly responsible parent. ;)

It appears that Hurrican Gustav will be hitting the Gulf Coast sometime late Mon. or early Tues.
I wish all of our Pittwatch community that lives in that area to stay safe. I lived in Puerto Rico for 7 years and went through many hurricanes. They are very frightening. But what happened 3 years ago in New Orleans was horrific. I pray to God that it will not be as bad. God Bless all of you and stay as safe as you can. If they say to get out, please get out. You can always build another home.

PEOPLE never said Brad was drunk. Tuesday night he stayed up late with George and others after the Dafur benefit. Wednesday night he had dinner with the cast/crew of BAR after the BAR premiere and him getting his award, and then went to his room before midnight according to PEOPLE. Friends were giving him congrats as to the twins. Ramey has cute pixs of Brad, Mad,and Pax getting ice cream in Venice. This is the first time Brad has left Angie’s side since the birth of their twins 6 weeks ago, he had to work just as Angie will have to work to support her films. Some here sound so negative like they work/write for tabloids. Brad’s family is his priority.

JJB stay away from FF. The women on that site are mentally ill and say terrible things that turn one’s stomach. What is so sad is that they say they are parents. Brad loves Angie, he has demonstrated that time and time again. He puts Angie and their kids, his family, ahead of all else in his life and has let everyone know that his family is everything to him.

I do not think that after all they have gone through with the tabs, that Brad would do anything to hurt or upset his family. I think he was just having a good time with friends, men need that sometimes. I read in the NY Daily News that Brad will be on stage with julia Roberts at DAVE MATTHEWS concert on Sept 10th at Madison Square Gardens a STAND UP FOR THE CURE and 9/11 first responders who are struggling with cancer. So that mean he may be on the morning talk shows to promote his movie. I am not sure, have anyone heard or read it.

btw I heard about NYDaily as well. Brad’s BAR’s U.S premiere is on Sep 12th,so he will be in U.S at that time.so it makes sense for him to be there,but I think NY Daily news is like other tabs and should not be taken seriously. I hope the whole family will be back to U.S in Sep and stay here until 30th Oct,Angie has movie to promote as well in Oct. hope at least in one of BAR’s premiere will get a chance to see Angie.it has been more than 4 months since we saw her out and about,I’m not talking about photoshoot but being in Public. in a bright side we will see her omn Oct in NYC festival and later in Changeling premiere.
What do you think guys,Do you think Angie and Brad have changed their plans about attending each other’s premiere after twins and they won’t walk RC together again after twins or they are just waiting for twin to get bigger and then Benjamin’s premiere will be the one they will start walking RC together again.what do you think?

So cute. I knew he would spend some special time with the boys while there.
He is such a good dad. He fits into the role so easily. It is amazing how he is so good with children in only having them the last 3 1/2 year.
As for being out, we all go out and have fun. I just laugh to myself because he told Diane Sawyer that the kids get up so early, so I think about them waking him up early after his late nites. One post I read said he sat out by the pool with others until 3:00 A.M., think this was on the nite of the 26th and on the 27th he left a little before 12.
The boys may have slept in the bed with him since they are away from home.
Bet they were glad to see mom and siblings!
Love this man!!!! I will gladly take him off of Angie’s hands anytime.

JJB, this is my assumption.
Burn After Reading is an ensemble movie and Brad’s in a supporting role. Brad may go to Toront and NY alone. Changeling is a centerpiece at NYFilm Festival(9/26-10/12) and Angie is a main character in it. Brad will be there with her. Then Brad’s Inglorious Bastards will start shooting on 13th of October in Germany. The family will be in Germany and France in October and November but will attend Changeling premiere (around 20th of October, LA ,I guess). Then they will be back to US before TCCOBB promotion starts. This movie has budget of $150mil and his burden is heavy. Angie sure will be with him on the red carpet to support him. And twins will be big enough at that time.

i started to laugh when i read this poster jjb comments, passive aggressive too funny,brad is not schedule to go to any premieres in the states, the movie opens up on the 12th a friday, i don’t even think any premieres are schedule in the states and if they are brad is not schedule for them, he is a co star not the lead.In toronto according to the organizers brad will do the red carpet then leave.Angie is breast feeding every 3 hrs, a little to hard to attend a premiere.Angie premiere is in oct and i’m sure brad will be there with his hands in the usual place.Fan or troll which is it,lol

Did anyone notice ,in the pictures from Venice, that Mad has gotten a growth jump and is now taller than Pax? The youngsters are growing so fast! I think both boys are going to grow up and be very nice looking men. I swear they are looking more like Brad every time I see them.

I have been a fan of Angelina from her tomb raider movies, long before Brad, but I became a fan after they get togather and I love them. I did not know if the NY thing was true not so diappointed to know it not. It would have been nice to see him in the papers the next day, because I collect all their pic in a scrap book, thanks guys.

I think his duties for Burn After Reading is less than it would be CCOBB. As someone said he is not the main star, nor the second.
As for the comments about drinking and hanging out…he was doing his duty with regards to the film. He may not be the star but he still needs to do some promotion as well as “meet and greets”.
