Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie rank in top ten at Vanity Fair

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie frequently make lists about star power or beautiful appearances. However, Vanity Fair has released their Top 100 Power List. The power list is about more than just being a pretty face, having a keen fashion sense, or even talent.
According to Vanity Fair:
The Vanity Fair 100 represents a global, movable band of thinkers, owners, creators, and buyers who are the tastemakers, trendsetters, opinion formers and agenda creators in the worlds of politics, entertainment, media, business, technology, and fashion. Entry into the ranks of the V.F. 100 is based on a number of factors: wealth and influence, as well as such intangibles as vision, philanthropy, and the x factor.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ranked in at 9th place on the Vanity Fair 100. The pair were a joint entry rather than two separate entries, which is a bit weird, but the important thing is that people are noticing that the Jolie-Pitt union is way more than a red carpet couple. They were listed as both actors and activists. It’s their first time on the list, so to be placed in the top ten is impressive.
The top ten people on the Vanity Fair 100 are as follows (with their 2007 ranking in parentheses):
1. Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister (new entry)
2. Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. (1)
3. Sergey Brin (3), Larry Page (3), and Eric Schmidt (new entry), Google
4. Steve Jobs, Apple, Disney, and Pixar (2)
5. Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway (5)
6. Jeff Bezos, Amazon (23)
7. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai (new entry)
8. Roman Abramovich, Millhouse Capital (30)
9. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, actors, activists (new entry)
10. Al Gore, eco-warrior (19)
You can see the full list here.
Way to go, Brad and Angelina!

Very happy, it is not surprise they made the top ten given that they both give so much to the world. I love this family.
I want to see them together on the red carpet so badly already.
That picture looks stunning.

LOVE IT! VF should have listed them as producers, too. Ugh – Matt Drudge. WOW – Angelina & Brad were ranked above: the Coen brothers, Bono, Al Gore, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Old Friend Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, OF George Clooney, OF Jerry Bruckheimer (Ocean’s 111213 and Not On our Watch), Paul Allen (the Nice villa), François-Henri Pinault (luxury goods purveyor – Louis Vuitton etc., Salma Hayek’s ex- and baby daddy), Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, David Geffen, Larry Ellison, Ronald Perelman, Summer Redstone, Brian Grazer & Ron Howard, Weinstein brothers, Arnold Schwarzenegger, De Niro, Jagger. . .

In Top Ten as a couple that’s more interesting, people see them now as one not just by being Jolie or just by being Pitt. They see them as Jolie-Pitt.
They are very powerful couple may it be in humanitarian, as parents, as partners, & as actors. They have everything wrapped in one.
God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

I’m happy to hear this news. I admire them on so many levels. But mostly because they live their lives based on their standards, not others. It must be so hard to face constant ridicule and even praise. I don’t know how they do it. I was wondering if Brad’s parents were still in France. I am missing me some Angie. I hope she is enjoying this time with her children. Now my rant. I am tired of people commenting on why Brad/Angie and others carry their children. My thoughts are two fold. One if you had cameras in your face, you would want to keep your child close too. But my main thought is this… Children grow up so fast. One minute it seems as if they could fit in the palm of your hands, then you blink and they are walking out of the door. There is a great country song with the words..”You’re going to miss this”. My thoughts carry them as long as you can, and that they will allow. It goes so fast, and you will miss it. So will they.

This is really impressive. Brad and Angie are the only ones from the entertainment industry who make the Top 10. I love the fact that they are now seen as one. Congratulations, Brad and Angie!

It is so awesome that they were nominated as a duo. They are true soulmates and it is nice to see them recognized as something more than A list Hollywood icons. As for carrying their children, I agree that this is something they and their children will remember all their lives. This time goes so fast just like the song turn around and he’s a young man walking out of the door. I remember how hard it was to hold a squiggling little hand in a crowd and I never had a crowd of paps and stalkers to deal with. God Bless the Jolie-Pitts.

I have been saying for a long time now that I consider them a power couple. I am so glad to see that they are finally being given the credit they truly deserve. As for carrying their children, because of all the craziness that surrounds them each time they go out, that is really the only true way of protecting the children. And so what, it is their children and they can do what ever they want. The people out there that does all the complaining about them do not pay attention to these types of lists, because they have no interest of what is really going on in this world.

JJB: yeah, she looks like Jen! you know, i’m a brangelina fan, but i ‘m too a jenifer fan, i think this girl is really great (it’s normal: she was brad’s wife, so she can’t be a bad person, it’s logic ;-p)

Wow, Angie & Brad must have done something really good to be recognized such as this, and at top ten at that!
By the way,I came across of this comment from someone who admires Angie. Pls see an excerpt from
http://www.news.com.au/co…,24291828-5012980,00.html
Elle Macpherson (a model) nominated actress Angelina Jolie when asked who had perfect looks.
“She has lovely limbs, wrists and ankles, but she is all woman,” Macpherson said.

Brad and Angie is the ultimate power couple, everything they do,is done from the heart,so good things will happen to them, they are blessed as individuals and as a couple. Even friends of mine who don’t follow them think they should be togather, they are loved, they rule.

VF are manipulative. I don’t trust their motives.
They, like all the other publications have a love h8te relationship towards Brad and Angie. They insert them into everything to get more hits and readers.
Am not saying Brad and Angie don’t deserve to be honoured but, come on VF? Patting them on the back?
Cynical yes I am, this magazine is practiced at giving with one hand… and well, you know the rest!
