Brad Pitt in Berlin - video
I found a video clip from, presumably, some German media about Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and the Jolie-Pitt kids arriving in Berlin. I didn’t catch much other than the words that sound like English, but it does show some footage of Quentin Tarantino, as well as the fantastic-looking home in which they’ll be staying during the three months of filming for Inglorious Bastards.
Anyone who wants to fill in some blanks for translation can feel free to summarize!
In other news, there is a new poster out for Changeling, which opens October 24th. I can’t wait for the red carpet premiere! What do you think of the poster? I think it’s just beautiful, with the tears in her eyes.

Perhaps it was carrying his wallet — or his kids! — that caused him pain but whatever it was Brad Pitt spent part of his first full day in Berlin visiting a doctor.
The father of six spent 30 minutes at an orthopedic surgeon in the ritzy Charlottenburg district of the city after breaking off from a meeting with Quentin Tarantino, director of his next film Inglorious Bastards, for the appointment.
Media reports said Brad took along x-rays with him to the practice though it remains unclear just what is ailing him.
A spokesman for the doctor’s office refused comment citing patient confidentiality.
As he was being examined inside, his black VW Touareg 4X4 parked outside became a female magnet. Fans swarmed around it until Brad reappeared — minus bodyguards — and climbed back inside after signing some autographs.
Later that day, Brad dined — without Angelina — at Al Contadino restaurant in the Mitte section of the city. He arrived at 8pm and ordered a meal of portobello mushroom ravioli in a truffle sauce followed by giant prawns. He sipped a house Chianti.
“He was really cool [and] said he had left the family at home because the kids were tired and Angelina was too after the travelling on Tuesday,” says a source. “He has no airs or graces, sat at a table by himself and was met by some architect friends of his later on.”
As Star reported yesterday, Brad, Angelina and their kids arrived in Germany on Tuesday for a three-month stay while he plays the lead role in cult director Quentin’s new movie about a renegade squad of WW2 Jewish-American soldiers out to scalp Nazis.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the CHANGELING poster. It’s striking, deceptively simple, elegant, sets the tone and mood for the movie, hints at the drama, and come awards season’s ads – it’ll remind the voters of the centrality of Angelina and her performance in the movie.
The white background with only 2 images emphasizes the relationship of the mother and son. IMO, the contrast in size of Angelina’s head in relation to the small boy shows the vulnerability and helplessness of the son, and the enormous responsibility of the mother to find him. There’s a tear in Angelina’s eye that’s about to spill over – such sorrow, her expression reminds me of the Pieta. The boy and half of Angelina’s face is in shadow portending danger and mystery. The washed out dark palette adds to the brooding atmosphere.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE.

By coincidence, my 3 Angelina posters arrived today (happy dance, happy dance, bouncy, bouncy :-) ). I’ve been gradually building my collection of Angie’s films, but this is the first time I’ve gotten posters. If I had my way, my whole 900 sq.ft. house would be wallpapered with Angelina’s posters – hee hee.
I got: 1. Movie poster of LC II Angelina in skintight silver wetsuit, 2. Movie poster of LC I Angelina in her tight t-shirt and shorts, and 3. Smaller poster of LC I Angelina in almost exactly the same pose as the wetsuit shot.

Hi,
the article isn’t really worth translating. They talk about the meeting in the restaurant, that Til Schweiger - “a wanna-be Brad Pitt” as they call him - drank too much, etc.
Then (when they show old footage) they talk about the fact that Brangelina seem to like Berlin and talk about their previous visits. They also say that Brad carried each child from the plane to the car and that the children will have fun in Berlin.
As far as the villa is concerned they say that it has a space for a helicopter and a boat and also name squaremeters of the house. (Which doesn’t help - don’t you count in feet?)
Well, that’s basically it…

Brad and Angelina and the kids are going to stay in Berlin for 3 month , because Brad is making a movie there. They moved into a beautiful villa on the water…you also get there by boat or plane. Voila, that’s the translation of the german video.

Having once transcribed legal documents a long, long time ago - and having transcribed videos/audio, I appreciate how hard it is. Is there a machine or computer program that does that now, or is it still the old forward-and-backward over and over again technique?

Heyy fellow pittwatch readers!
I’ve been really busy with school but I’m here for a couple of mins and I just want to say i miss angie but am glad she has her privacy.
The changeling poster is amazing!!!! How many people can pull off looking that great in a close up that close even with computer help. Amazing!
Congrats on getting your posters Ligaya. I have only one poster hung up in my room and its of angelina jolie from the wanted movie. =]

I could not see much on the video, but I was able to see that it was Brad who was putting his kids in the van. I have always liked that they do not allow the nannies or bodyguards to carry their kids all the time. I also hate that they get criticized by having help. If you really look at celeb photos you can see the security and even nannies. I guess it is just with Brad/Angie that the microscope comes out.
I am waiting on the edge of my seat to see her next week. If feels like it will never get her. I really hope Brad gets to come with her.

Sorry the my first comment, it was written by “Star” and from reading other post, realized that it is not true but made up. The article said he dined alone which we all know now was not true, he was with get together dinner for those in the film.
