Brad Pitt Loses Out
On Friday night, Brad was a bit pre-occupied on Friday night because there was a fierce battle going on between Warner Bros. with Appian Way (Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company) and Paramount with Brad’s Plan B. They were each bidding a literary agent, Joel Gotler, for the film rights to “The Wolf of Wall Street”. It’s the story of a stockbroker in Long Island, who refused to cooperate during a fraud case in the 90s and served 20 months in prison for it.
Unfortunately for Brad, Plan B didn’t win the bidding wars, and part of it may be because Martin Scorcese was brought to the table by the other side; Scorcese - who FINALLY won an Oscar for his outstanding work - has worked with Leo five times.
I don’t think Brad will have to worry. I’m sure he’ll find something to focus on quickly, between his talent and his inspection of numerous books for film ideas.

I would like to share this about our Bradley!! he has also been focused on many projects such as ending global poverty.
This is courtesy of Josan: thanks for this
Make Poverty History: Brad is featured in the newest Make Poverty History campaign! It just premiered on German television, presented by Bono. Brad and many other artists speak German while reciting the same campaign speech. According to my friend Seacloud Brad said “alle 3 sekunden ein kind stirbt” and “brauchen deine stimme”. Which means: Every 3 seconds a child dies” and “..Need your voice”. The campaign will be launched online tomorrow March 26th! The reason for the German influence is that the G8 Summit will be in Germany this year

He’s living in NO (maybe not at the moment) I’m sure there are thousands of untold stories in that city. I don’t think he’ll be long in coming up with a new project. Besides he is busy enough and probly wants to spend time with the kids too. He also has to bond with Pax

Yeah don’t think he needs to worry either! Plan B has some great works in the pipeline.
Scorcese is very good, I loved The Departed and thougt him very funny in Shark Tale! Don’t like the fact that he and the other winner’s ?forgot to thank the 2 Brad’s for bringing them into the project and for their pre-production contribution. Oh well! It’s done! And Leo’s friendship with him doesn’t cast too shabby a shadow over Leo’s reputation.

Can anyone get the word to Brad (plan B) and Angelina that they should be looking at acquiring the possible movie script rights to the Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson story? Angie could play the role of the CIA operative who was “outed” by the Bush Administration (Valerie) and Brad could play her husband “Joe Wilson” I think it has the potential to be a great movie.

He lost this project because he won one against Leo’s Appian Way in another movie and I cannot remember the title it has something to do with Zombies. You can google Plan B and find it in future projects. I don’t think this one about Wall Street will be a blocbuster anyway. Like Gangs of New York, it was not profitable. Also, the other front man of Plan B is the other Brad, Brad Grey who used to be or currently an executive at Paramount aside from Brad P. who can also call the shots. I don’t deny that Scorcese is talented but if you put a film out there you need to consider also their blockbuster appeal to make a profit and not only to make a movie to get on the Oscar nomination. This is the reason why George Clooney’s production company did not make a lot of money because Syriana and the other movie he made did not gross more money but made him an Oscar winner. He even said, the Ocean’s series paid for his villa in Italy. According to IMDB, there are few independent productions who made bank steadily in the past, one was Plan B, Tom Cruise’s Production and I think Drew Barrymore’s Flower Productions. But the others, are hurting like Leo’s Appian Way, George Clooney’s, etc.
