Brad Pitt Maneuver at Beowulf Premiere
Just a fun little early morning (for me) post demonstrating yet another incidence of the “Brad Pitt Maneuver”. What maneuver is that? Look at the picture - long time readers will know.
*Grin* Love it.
I’ve seen some people around the Internet comment on the fact that Angelina Jolie obviously stepped in some gum with her Christian Louboutin pumps. See? She really IS just a regular person like the rest of us sometimes!

She is absolutely divine. I was there in the premiere last night. The crowd was simply crazy. She is thin, alright but not in a weird or anorexic way. She is healthy and her skin just glowed. And besides, it is not what you remember with her, it’s her face. And what a face. In fact I was so close to them on their way out ( ‘coz they only stayed inside for about 30 minutes maybe) and I shouted at her and she actually smiled. Brad was holding her hand and I did’nt even notice Brad. They look so devoted and inlove without a doubt.

If you are one of the most famous people in the whole universe, anything you do, where you go, what you wear, eat, etc, etc, is a big new because that’s hundred thousand of dollars to paparazzi. So, Angie and Brad, no matter what, is no exception and abused by photographers. I just wish they’ll have normal life with their kids, someday and be amongst us.

Then split on her trousers is definitely not true. I was at the premiere in london and I did’nt see anything like that. Her behind is totally flawless. And besides did’nt stay very long on the RC but she did, more than 30 minutes i think because she was the last one to go in. She is thin, alright but not in a weird or anorexic way. And besides, it is her face you would remember and what a face!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s photoshopped, but really, HOW is a near split news?
Poor Angie! Others have shown “ar**s and boobs” but it didn’t make front page news.
BUT if it’s true Brad is a great guy, respect to him for protecting her.
Sherry, it would have been nice if he was just manuveuring “shrugs”.

I saw at ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, Angie had almost a wardrobe malfunction, yes they showed her pants almost going to split, too tight so the gentleman Brad took care of it as you can see. Also, they showed the gum on her shoe. They are so cute when these things happen. Lee, your sense of humor is sad. I’m sorry. Peace.

I was watching Access Hollywood, and they said that Angelina’s pants ripped down the middle and that’s why Brad come to the rescue, covering her up. They zoomed in and you can actually see part of the rip.

There’s a job I’m sure he wouldn’t mind, covering up the start of a rip if it means putting his hand on her butt. :)
I had a long skirt with a slit up the back that went to my knees. One day, I tried to step over a puddle as a stepped down from a sidewalk and the slit ripped right up to just under my butt. I thought I was going to die, right there in the middle of downtown Montreal. Unfortunately there was no one to cover my butt like Brad did so I had to settle for tying a sweater around my waist and praying it wouldn’t rip anymore and fall right off of me. :)

I was in Prague for my brother’s wedding. My husband & I were at the train station at a kiosk that sold newspapers, magazines, post cards etc. My skirt’s elastic chose that time to break and and my skirt fell to the floor before I could catch it. (Big red face.) Couldn’t do anything but get it back up asap. Luckily, I was behind a revolving rack and there weren’t too many people at the station to see me. We left lickety-split.

Sherry, you seem to have more inside info than most of us. Why is it that Hollywood stars do the red carpet with very little clothes on when it´s freezing? I have seen some stars out on the carpet in nothing but a dress with shoulder straps in London in December when it´s really ice ice cold. I know they probably want to show off their wardrobe, but does it make sense? Brad has a coat on, but Angelina doesn´t, yet she seems to be freezing. Is there some sort of contractual obligation to show as much skin as possible, and if so, why stick to it when it´s THAT cold?

How come J. Garner is losing weight & people don’t talk about it ? Media as always bashes Angie. Brad & Angie always looks fabulous on the red carpet.
My husband & I watched last night Lions For Lambs, not really a good movie. I am looking forward to see Beowulf on Saturday, we will see if we can drive to World Golf Village where they have Imax Theater, it’s a bit far from where we live but we will try or else my hubby & I will just watch it in theater near our home. It’s definitely a must movie to see for me. Hi to all the fans all over the world.

Irma, if Beowulf is showing anywhere near you in 3D, that’s better then regular 2D.
(BTW, my hubby & I loved Lions for Lambs. It’s kind of a throwback to 70s movies like All the President’s Men with a lot of sharp dialogue - the battlefield sequences made my heart pound - and IMO Meryl Streep & Tom Cruise should be nominated for awards. I totally LOVE Meryl, Robert, Derek Luke & Michael Pena.)
(Like all the other movies about the Iraq war & terrorism - INCLUDING A MIGHTY HEART, Lions for Lambs faces a tough go at the box office. People would rather see escapist entertainment, blockbusters & genre flicks - not that I blame them. But our problems are not going away by themselves, and we’ll have to suck it up and face it sometime.)

Angelina & Tom Cruise have had persistent negative tabloid campaigns in common. I think this is part of Tom losing his luster (when he once ruled the movie world), and I’m afraid Angelina’s humanitarian work and movies may be compromised for the same reason - if they haven’t been already.
Teenagers are the majority of movie-goers and they may not appreciate good acting, they probably don’t even know who Robert Redford - just another old white guy. And maybe they know about Meryl from Devil Wears Prada, but they probably don’t appreciate an older woman - talented & gifted - unless she’s in a comedy.

Yeah this is Pitt’s famous “open hand on butt” pose. He did it all throughout his time with Aniston but not so much with Paltrow. Perhaps it’s an ownership thing like “this flat butt is mine!” Haha.
In this case, I wish Jolie’s flat butt was mine, heehee.

I met Ange&Brad there at the premiere; it was so unreal. I loved them, but I’m loving them even more now, they are so down to earth and so cool. I wish I met them somewhere when kids were with them as I adore Shiloh.
Fingers crossed they will marry soon, as Angelina seems to be for it now.

Sofia, I don’t really know the answer to your question. I guess it comes down to image being an important part of celebrity life. She definitely must have been cold, but maybe she figured that she’d be warm once she got inside. I know I get overheated easily so I try to not dress too warmly if I’m going to be inside.
I guess it’s all part of suffering for style!

I doubt that stars & models are under contractual obligation to dress skimpily in cold weather. But this is one of those things stars have to do - freeze in the cold so the photogs can get great pictures. As a veteran red carpet watcher for decades, I haven’t seen too many or maybe even any bundled up stars. We all want those great pics of their lovely gowns, jewelry, purses, shoes, etc. I don’t think the designers who lend the gowns, jewelry & accessories would be happy if the public couldn’t see them.
So the stars all suffer in the cold weather. They’ve mentioned being frozen and RC interviewers sometimes mention it too.

Mainly because I love Angelina here! She looks soooo naturally beautiful. I like Angelina better when she’s just dress down.
Like the way her hair looked was amazing too. And she wore only a black shirt too. NO HEAVY MAKEUP!!!
JUST NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL.
To me the Angelina in this interview looks way prettier than the one we saw at the London premeire. Just my opinon though.

Kat, lolly, you are both lucky ladies, you really met & saw Brad & Angie in person, I am jealous. Did you get an autograph? I noticed about Angie’s face it is flawless , she has this very smooth skin, you really can tell because she always have closed up pictures. As far as why she did not bundle up, I am sure Versace wanted those pants to be seen and photographed, like was said above. Also, there was no split as there are too many photos of her from behind (no pun intended) and there is nothing wrong with her pants. Just more silly tabloid nonesense. Nothing else to criticize, so they just make it up.
Any way, she had Brad to keep her warm, why would she need a coat. He also does not need any excuse to place his hand on her rear, it seems to gravitate there naturally.

There’s a correction today at People Magazine about what was written about Angie’s pants, it didn’t happen, it was the zipper showing & she even wear that pants flying back home.
Ligaya, my husband & I decided that we will watch Beowulf at Imax Theater 45 minutes drive from our home. We bought our tickets last night on line, we are going to World Golf Village on Saturday since that’s the only Imax Theater we have here in our place. I can’t wait. I’m off that day, the showing will start at 1:45pm, it will last for 2 hours I think, so excited. If they can just have their premiere here in Florida. As many of us suspected, this pants thing didn’t make sense, especially since Brad walked away from Angie so the photogs could get pics of her alone. This is more of the same anti-Angie crap that we’ve seen for so long and it really amazes me how little facts are checked and the speed that this nonstory moved across the internet, as if preople were looking for anything they could use to laugh at her with. Not that Angie cares but it’s really sad that people are that petty.

I read in a magazine that when brad put his hand on angelina’s butox that he was actually hiding a small rip in her trousers. I seen pictures too, but it’s not funny, it must be so embarrassing for them. What i can’t understand is Brad growing facial hair. I thought he looked so cute without it!

SORRY, I WAS WRONG, THEY DID NOT SPLIT. THE STORES ARE NOT TRUE. PEOPLE WHO WRITE THESE YOKES DON’T PUT PROPER RESEARCH INTO THE ARTICLE THEY’RE WRITING AND END OUT BLABBERING COMPLETE RUBISH! HOW SAD!!
