Brad Pitt ready to star in Bullitt
According to several movie websites, Brad Pitt will star as Lt. Frank Bullitt in the upcoming remake of the 60s classic hit Bullitt. Considering Brad’s love of motorcycles and cars and the fact that Bullitt features a kick-ass high speed car chase - one of the most famous ever - makes me think it would be a perfect pairing.
Brad has been tied in with the movie as far back as 2003, but it’s only recently that the film was finally ready to go. In the original movie, it was Steve McQueen who played the lead role and at that time he was a well known and much-loved celebrity just like Brad is now.
I saw Bullitt once with my dad when I was younger and I loved the movie, especially the aforementioned car chase. I would love to see Brad in this role.
If you want a movie to rent this weekend, you could go see if your local video store has a copy of the original. Watch it and then imagine it remade with today’s technology and special effects, and of course with Brad at the wheel!

Yeah first today. Ha-ha. Where are you guys? Love to see Brad in an action film like this. I know Steve McQueen is one of Brad’s favorites. BTW, Angie’s new Beouwulf poster is released. Oh so sexy!

I saw Bullitt when it first came out (that’s how old I am, hee) and many times since. I was one of Steve McQueen’s original fans from his tv days to movies. I’d love to see Brad do another version Thomas Crown Affair with a strong, intelligent, powerful, sensual actress - um, somebody like Angelina! I liked the Brosnan/Russo version, but I think Brad is closer in looks and spirit.
I’d love for the Bullitt rumor to be true, BUT nothing’s showing up in imdb, Hollywood Reporter, and Variety yet.

Oh well!
All I wanted to say was I have also seen Bullitt, but a long time ago. Can definately see Brad in the lead role among the petrol fumes and within that horse power of the V8 engine.
Unless they will make it modern and convert to a modern car. Don’t know if that will work though.
Is this confirmed anywhere else ie Variety!?

If this is true, then that’s great. I love Steve McQueen, he was such a cool dude. And to have Brad play this same role would be great, I think. Then again, I’m biased. :)
Off topic: While I’m kind of sad not to see any new photos of bampzs, I’m also glad that they seem to be having a downtime from the paparazzi. I hope they’re able to enjoy their time together right now.

I was thinking Brad’s Bullitt should be a modern remake - should take place in the 7 hills of Rome (just like 7 hills of San Francisco) and down the Amalfi Coast. And Angelina should be stalking and racing against him. They should drive state of the art hybrid/electric cars by Ferrari and Maserati. And they should end up in a plane race, and maybe parachute into the mouth of a volcano in a tropical jungle - or Mt. Etna.
