Brad Pitt Stunned to Silence

I thought this was cute, in relation to the taping of Idol Gives Back. First, part of the reason the crowd went wild when Brad Pitt came out on the stage was just for the obvious - because it was Brad Pitt! But apparently a lot of people assumed he wouldn’t actually be there in the Kodak Theater, that he would just tape his segment elsewhere, maybe in New Orleans, and just be part of the show on a large screen. The crowd was stunned when Brad really walked out in front of them.
Brad ended up stunned by the reaction himself. People who were at the taping even said he was a little bashful by the long roar of applause that went on for quite some time.
Once things started to settle down, Brad started to thank everyone but discovered he had been stunned into silence - his microphone wasn’t working. The stage manager for American Idol, Debbie McVickers, came out quickly on stage and started trying to fix the tiny mic that was attached to his clothing, having a bit of trouble with it, so she joked to the crowd that she “just needed a reason to touch him:. When she still couldn’t get it working, another production assistant - female - came out to help and Debbie then laughed to the crowd that they “need more women to touch him”.
Very cute! Brad took it all in stride, and at least it wasn’t live when the mic problems happened!

This sounds so cute. I would hope the Idol folks leave most of that in because it you can’t write this stuff up and most people enjoy these harmless bloppers.

Me too gena. I love them both, I wished Angie was there too. Seeing the audience reaction makes me wonder how much more if Angie was there with him. People appreciate Brad now than before, Angie brought out the best of Brad. Thanks Angie, you are the best, you & Brad. God bless you always.

I hope they leave it in too - especially he reported 30-second standing ovation, which news articles made out to be unusually and enthusiastically long. I’m glad Brad made time to be at the taping - I’d expect him to be what with Make It Right being a beneficiary.
So far, I haven’t seen any reports in the tabs and snarky blogs castigating, or even chiding, Brad for abandoning his children & partner to gallivant somewhere else. I saw lots of those when Brad chose to stay at home with the kids when Angie had to work in Iraq and represent her film at the festival in New York.
The double-standard is alive & well - especially when applied to the Jolie-Pitts. Man staying home is oppressed wuss-husband. Woman staying home is just the natural order of things, otherwise she’s a ball-breaking, unnatural b***ch.
This is a very busy couple. Brad in LA on Sunday and Angie in Washington, DC on Tuesday. There is a cute picture of her carrying Pax and Madd walking behind her. She is there on business.
Actually, that picture is from when they were in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. The magazines fail to put dates on the photos and it is misleading. I don’t know if there were any photos of them at the Museum.
But there is a gorgeous photo of her with Maryanne Pearl at an event last night in Washington, DC.
Angie’s in Washington, DC? Well we know she’s not 8mths yet, if she’s flying. Are they together? Did the whole family go to LA for the taping, then fly to DC? Just wondering, does seem odd that they aren’t traveling together, they always do that.
And anybody figured out what the necklace is?
