Brad Pitt takes in some art in Switzerland

Brad Pitt was reported to have visited Angelina Jolie on the set of Salt in Washington DC yesterday. Although New York filming has wrapped, there are still a few things left to finish up. I love when Brad visits Angelina on set!
He must have dropped by for a bit before hopping on a plane because today Brad showed up in Switzerland to check out some art. The Art 40 Basel show features over 2500 artists from all the continents. It only officially opens on June 10th so Brad must have been able to grab a special sneak preview before it opened to the public. Knowing how much Brad loves his art and architecture there must be a lot there to interest him.
I wonder if any of the art is for sale and if Brad will bring something home!

Brad must be having a little “me time”. He starts his new film on Thursday I think.
Off-topic. I’m with Elizabeth: I’m sure missing seeing the whole brood out & about. Wish they would hang in New orleans awhile and go get junk food with the 4 older ones and twins in the stroller!

Angela, he was wearing his newsboy cap when he visited Angie. I only saw one pic though.
He probably wanted to spend a little bit of time with her before he left for Switzerland. Pretty sweet.
Neela: yeah.. i think we miscalculate everything about SALT and Brad filming his new movie. i mean, SALT isn’t finished yet so Angie still has to be at the set and work a little more. then here comes Brad filming his new movie, they say it’s on June 11, and that’s this thursday! do they usually work the same time??
if SALT isn’t finished yet and Brad is said to start filming on thursday, who will be with the kids?? i know they always take turn to watch over the kids. who will watch them if they are both going to work this week? grandma and grandpa? uncle james? i know they will surely love to watch the kids but i doubt if Angie and Brad will just leave the kids to them..
Was it just last year that Brad also went to Switzerland for the Art Show? He bought some pieces there too. I’m sure, he will be back to the US tomorrow or he maybe already on the way back home, you know private plane is not that bad if you have money.
How sweet that Brad visited Angie on the set of SALT in Washington DC, I read that they were seen dining with other people on the evening of Brad’s departure for Switzerland. I love the gold painting he was looking at the Basel Art Show today, it’s not even open to the public yet & he got to see it first hand.God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

irma, i believe he did attend last year’s show. lucky man.
kimmy, hehe, i don’t really pay much attention to the filming schedule. all i know is that brad will be filming his new movie soon, but if there is that overlap in the couple’s schedule, i, too wonder who’ll be babysitting the kids. i’m sure they can rely on the rest of the family and a couple of the nannies. i’m sure the grandparents would be more than happy to watch over them.
Not because Moneyball starts filming on Thursday that doesn’t mean Brad starts filming that day it all depends on what they are shooting first.

Thanks for the news, Sherry! I just wonder if Brad is now safely back with his family. I hope so. Jackie – I agree with you. I doubt that Brad won´t start filming tomorrow (June 11). He and the family will sure have a short vacation either in France or New Orleans. If he started filming so soon after Angie finishes Salt the rags would have a field day with their break-up stories. But I´m positive that the Jolie-Pitt clan will go into hiding for a short time and then emerge again. Miss the children. Especially the twins. Hopefully Brad and Angie will release a new pic of them when they turn 1 on July 12. Can´t wait to see how much they´ve grown. There are wonderful pics of Brad on X17. In some of those pics he looks exactly like his own dad Bill. So the older he gets the more he looks like his dad. I´m sure that Knox looks a lot like his handsome dad Brad. brad is going to film moneyball straight after angelina finishes salt. why is that a sign of break-up? angelina started filming changeling straight after brad finished burn after reading in 2007 and there was no break-up?
if any-one has a vaction then it will only be angie and kids who are able to go,to either france or new orleans, as brad will be needed in california and the west of the u.s in june and july for moneyball.
no-one knows their personal schedule, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next week.
the likely plans will be the whole jolie-pitt family moves to cali for brad to film moneyball next week but who knows? have to wait for reports/pics. peace.

I r m a – Well, he a n d numerous other VIPs who are allowed in the day before the official opening at Art Basel. It’s nothing special they do because he’s who he is. He looks quite calm though, normally the buyers are let in and storm through the place simply pointing out what they wish to buy (all very methodically) in order not to miss out on anything important to anyone else. There are some of the best contemporary and modern pieces of art exhibited at Basel every year.
Which goes to say – S h e r r y – yes, the art on display is for sale as you guessed. That’s why the organizers and galleries exhibiting are extremely fussy about who and how many are allowed to the VIP-showing. It’s basically their target-group. After the VIP-showing, most of the art (anything worth having really) is already sold, so when the show opens to the public there’s really almost nothing left (all works are marked with a “dot” to label them as “sold”).
R o s i e – the problem with that sort of article is that there are m a n y saying the same thing on and off, depending on how slow a news week it is. They’re either beaking up, marrying or adopting. And the “sources” are stated everytime.

Stratoula – I agree with you. It´s not the end of the world if the children have to be with their grandparents for a few days. I´m sure that Mad, Pax, Zahara, Shi, Knox and Viv love to spend time with grammy Jane and papa Bill (as they call them). And Bill and Jane sure love to spend time with their grandchildren. Their other grandchildren are already older and besides they live in Springfield, MO. The JP clan move around so much that the children sure love to see their g-parents whenever possible. On OK! Magazine, they interviewed Ann Curry regarding what it is like to interview Angie. At the end of the article Ann says she will be interviewing Angie soon, something real important, but she can’t give anymore details just yet!

This is getting ridiculous. Now people is in on the hoopla. They were not satisfied with a quote from Brad and angie’s rep now they want to do a full story. Like the rest of the competition they are just trying to sell magazines. I hope Brad and Angie did not speak to them. I am not going to buy the paper. I will read it in the store to see if they have any real scoops. It’s like they can’t win. If they stay out of the public eye people say they are breaking up. Angie is working for God’s sake. If they are seen in public people say they are only selling themselves and the children or that they are trying to sell a new movie or they are just looking for attention. I mean what do these people have to do for people to shut up. I for one hope they did not talk to people and that it is all hearsay. Angelina and Brad do not owe us any explanations for their relationship or their family life. Don’t get me wrong I love seeing and hearing about them but when it gets to be this pervasive, insidious and out of control it’s makes me angry. So I will see what people have to say. The only reason they are being this secretive if you look on their site is to build up the anticipation and sell magazines, Its despicable.
Tasha, I feel completely different. People is a magazine with really great integrity. But honestly, of course they want to sell their issues too. They ARE a business. If it comes down to not writing about them at all, negative OR positive, then there’s technically no need for this site either, right?
But I would much prefer to support a magazine that writes good stories about Brad and Angelina (and others as well) instead of the ones that make all their money off of nasty headlines. If they can sell extra issues because they’re writing something POSITIVE about them, I’m all for it.
I figure if Brad and Angelina gave People the exclusive for their baby photos, the fans can go ahead and support People as well.

umm… i agree with what you said about PEOPLE Sherry. although they’re also a tabloid magazine, i believe their stories and articles have credible basis. i think People has a good relationship with the JPs, same reason they’ve entrusted their baby photos there aside from the bidding. nevertheless, i am excited to read my copy when it arrives on wednesday.

Angela, I got my Hello magazine from Canada today. Thanks to my relatives. They have good pictures & articles about them 9 pages total. Our scanner is not working, I wished I can send you a copy, maybe, I can ask my niece to get me another copy & send you one.I hope, it is s till available in the store. I love this Hello magazine, this is definitely for keeps. I have a bunch of magazines that I collected over a period of years, mostly Brad & Angie on the cover. I am also going to get Harper’s Bazaar & People magazine this week.

i went to B&N again yesterday, they don’t have the Hello magazine i’m looking for and their Harper’s Bazaar had a different cover – a model i think. i think i’ve read they have two covers of July HB. i just wish they have the Angelina cover when i return there.
