Brad Says Strippers Started His Career

January 23, 2007 by

There’s a fascinating article on People Online that I’d never read before. Here’s an excerpt:

Talking about one of his first jobs at Newsweek’s annual Oscar roundtable Saturday in Hollywood, Pitt said, “My job was to drive them to bachelor parties and things. I’d pick them up, and at the gig I’d collect the money, play the bad Prince tapes and catch the girls’ clothes. It was not a wholesome atmosphere, and it got very depressing.”

But it was not without its perks: Just before quitting, Pitt made a critical show business contact.

“This girl – I’d never met her before – was in an acting class taught by a man named Roy London,” a famous acting coach, he said, according to excerpts in this week’s Newsweek. “I went and checked it out, and it really set me on the path to where I am now.”

He added: “Strippers changed my life.”

As well, he spoke on being a man:

He added: “I caught myself on the phone the other day – Leo (DiCaprio) has been playing some real strong men these last few years, and I found myself saying, ‘I want to play more of a man.’ I got off the phone and I thought, ‘No. Live like a man, and the movies will follow.’ “

And, from the ‘Dirt’ files, I read two conflicting rumors. One says Aniston on Dirt will play herself and will be caught up in a marriage that has the husband leave her for his costar. But the other seems to debunk that rumor:

Jennifer will play an editor from another magazine that is Courtney’s arch rival. Page Six reports that not only will Jennifer play a lesbo, but she will share a kiss with Courtney. The finale is set to air this March.

Whatever, I’m sure we’ll all be tuning in to see what the former Mrs. Brad Pitt does with this golden opportunity.

Poor Brad , unfortunately when you are popular people get jealous and snub you.
As for Dirt, I wont be watching a show that focuses on mean spirited attempts to ruin a person’s career and emotionally damage them. Just think if someone had knowledge of the inner workings of those trash magazines and they didn’t like you they could manipulate things to make you be humiliated in the media really easy.I am not going to support that kind of show or people. End of story, there is no reason for that.

  4. Brad was fantastic in Babel says:

I wouldn’t say poor Brad. His time will come. He was fantastic in Babel. He’s always been good actor but he’s getting much better with the time. I don’t believe either Brad or Angie is heart broken over this because they would recognize that everyone that’s nominated are well deserving, as much as Brad. I sure hope they attend the Oscar together and show their good sportsmanship. They need to do this for the Babel and also for the movie industry. After all they are the Hollywood Royalty. P.S. I hope Angie gets a PR agent. Now that she has the whole family and very little time, she needs to have someone else take care of minor things, like public relations.

ah, i think being nominated for oscar is a big compliment for him. but i bet, brad doesn’t put that one on his priority. this guy is the kind of man that do the best he can just for the best, not for oscar or anything.
do the best and the good thing will follow in return.
angelina is not so narcistic about her awards. she gave them to her mother and her brother. i think she will influence brad on this.
i kind of dislike the actors which are so obsessed to get any awards. kind of doing something for something. if you don’t get anything, then you will do nothing. it’s just not okay.

anyway, i ever said this, but i’m going to say it again. brad has everything he ever wanted in this life. and i’m sure he’s a thankfull person. so, not being in the list of an oscar nomination won’t make his world tumbling down.

some fans are writing to that woman carolyn james for that tabloyed trash she wrote on the new york post about angelina, alot of fans in other sites are angry that this so called news paper would lower themselves in their bashing of a woman like angelina and targetting her in their hate this should not continue enymore and it is good fans are standing up to those people to defend her.

i was at a site in spanish and they have a poll on favorite celebrity couple angelina and brad are winning that poll with most of the votes like 40 percent, 2 place is will and jada with like 20 percent it is good to know angelina and brad are loved.

  8. dark faith says:

i dont know if this is true but they are saing it on tmz according to them rachael ray said nasty racial things about oprah, and insulted angelina too calling her names that other haters have called her because she likes aniston.

if this is true i am dissapointed with ray i used to watch her show in the FNC i know the girl is average looking but is no reason to hate on our angelina.
