The paparazzi will be trying everything to get the first picture of Baby Brangelina…and it eventually will happen.

I am a poor PhD student who would like the opportunity to take this first picture. I’m not a professional photographer, but have a point-and-shoot digital camera. The proceeds from a picture would fund the remainder of my doctoral education, pay off approximately $100,000 in student loans, and allow me to continue my research.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the picture will go to the charity of your choice. The amount to be determined by you.

This really doesn’t make much sense to me - is he asking for Brad and Angelina to pay him for the opportunity to take their baby’s picture? Is he asking someone to pay him for the picture with no guarantee that he will get a picture? Why a price on this auction - who is supposed to pay it?? I am confused - it might be my still-slightly-fuzzy brain at work. ;)

It’s not your brain, Christina, it’s the writer of the promotion on e-bay whose brain is more than just “slightly fuzzy.” Someone else has a website asking B&A to let them take the picture and give the proceeds to army families who aren’t being paid enough by the government. Nice idea but whose to say the money will go where the guy promises? Let Brad and Angelina give the money to whomever they want. It’s possible these are truly needy people but it has the “feel” of intrusion and possibly usury. I’m probably sounding a bit irascible but I just read a horrible article against Brad and Angie and these sorts of things just wear me out. :)!!!
