Burn After Reading red carpet in Venice – first pictures!

Woohoo! The first photos of Brad Pitt on the red carpet in Venice for Burn After Reading are starting to trickle out. I don’t have many yet, but please check back often – I won’t start a new post for each new batch, I’ll add them to this one, so come back and refresh the page to see if there are updates. I’ll stay on top of things as much as I possibly can.

Unfortunately, there is no sign of Angelina Jolie on the red carpet so I guess it was just too soon for her to attend such a public event. Of course the tabloids will have a darn field day, what with last week’s fake headline about how she kicked Brad out of the chateau, so they’ll be gloating about her not being in Venice. However, those of us who are sane and fans know that in truth she’s just being a mother, at home with Knox and Vivienne not to mention Zahara and Shiloh.
(Besides, you know that she can’t win with the naysayers anyway. If she stays home they’ll say there are problems, but if she had shown up those same people would say she should be a good mother and stay home with her children. And we don’t care, do we?)
There’s always the Toronto Film Festival for possible Brad and Angelina red carpet magic!

Personally, I love seeing these two together. They have a special bond. After the press conference’s odd questions, George showed he really has Brad’s back and protected him. I think we should give Angelina time to be a mommy for awhile. When she re-emerges is up to her. I somehow doubt (though I could be wrong) that she would come to Toronto, if she did not make it to Venice, which is alot closer, but who knows. Maybe Deauville, which is a short drive.
An observation though is that, to me, Brad seems a bit sad (not as many smiles) when she is not around, if you compare when she is with him and when she is not, but he has a job to do and he is a professional. I just enjoy him so much, I will take what I can get.
Toronto film festivals organizers announced that Angie won’t go Toronto. Also, today Deavulle organizers announced that John Malkovich will go Deavulle not Angie. You can read that articles at JJB. I hope people give her some time.

I don’t understand though. I thought BAR opened the festival – they awarded Best Actor on the first night without having seen the other films?
I can see how Brad was surprised – awards don’t usually go to comedies. But maybe he wowed the jury with how well he played against type.
Last year, Casey Affleck was expected to win for his terrific performance as Robert Ford in AOJJetc.

But I do miss Angie on the Red Carpet. I have to say that on one level I am glad she/Brad chose for her to not attend. I can’t help but think that the haters would have attacked her and said she should be home with their babies). I’m sure she is missing Brad and he her. If the fans really think about it this couple has not been apart since they got together. They have really tried to keep the family together.. I admire that a great deal.
I think Brad looks HOT.. How could he not. I also just loved George. Off topic a bit.. I saw the press thing and there was a really crazy woman who asked George if he would chase her (some reference to the movie), but George said that he was afraid he/They would have to run away from her… It was funny and uncomfortable at the same time.
I have seen some mixed reviews of BAR.. But all I know is that I will be there opening day. Again I hope all Jolie/Pitt and Clooney fans will support in huge numbers. It is up against “The Women” I love the original Black/White movie.. Not sure about this one. I’m sure Oprah will have them on the show and fawn all over the cast. I know she won’t have anything about BAR. I don’t get it.
I know I am rambling but I had a lot on my mind.
I have been searching online for any and all pics of “my” two guys. I love the chemistry between them. I asked this questions some time ago, and someone told me that Brad/George first met on the set of Oceans 11. I think it is great that they connected so well and became friends.

I totally for Angie not showing up. In Eastern world, people believe a women should hav at least one month rest after giving birth to a baby, so that her body can be recovered and strong. Of course, not that every one should believe in it, or follow that, but giving birth to a baby, let alone two, is really quite a job. Takes her time and rest, be happy and health. That is the important part. Let those stupid tabloids say whatever they want, they will just be proved again to be unture and fool!!!

Anyone notice his tie is crooked? I just want to reach in the sceen and fix it! In three of the pictures,he looks poofy(fat), in others he looks slim again, so it must be the camera. Whatever,he and George makes this old heart beat rapidly. Woo woo

I do wish he’d shave of the little goatee(but I’ve never liked facial hair).I’m sure Angie will be seen soon.She’s got a lot to do with the little ones and I’m thinking that it was sweet of Brad to take Maddox and Pax with him to Venice and give Angie a break from the 2 older boys.(Since boys that age can be a handful.)Glad to see Brad out and looking good.
