Full trailer of Brad Pitt in “Inglourious Basterds”

February 12, 2009 by Sherry

I was finally able to see the full trailer of Brad Pitt in Inglourious Basterds, and I think my head just about exploded from the excitement. I really can not wait to see this movie.

Obviously, just by watching the trailer, you can tell that this is not a film for everyone. It’s a Quentin Tarantino movie – it’s going to be highly and graphically violent. Not only that, it will likely be very realistically violent, as opposed to the sometimes cartoon-ish gore horror flicks that occasionally come out.

The trailer shows Brad Pitt addressing his team of eight soldiers and he explains to them that their sole mission is to infiltrate Nazi Germany where innocent people have been tortured and killed – and that their job is to return the favor.

If you don’t like violence in films, you may have to give this one a miss. As for me, I not only love Brad, I also really love Tarantino. What I wouldn’t give to be in one of his films! So I’m desperately looking forward to seeing it. The bonus is that I think it will be very easy to convince my husband to go see it on opening weekend when it comes out.

What do you think of the trailer? I think it’s going to be refreshing to see Brad Pitt in a totally different kind of role!

The trailer looked exciting! I always liked to see the bad guys get punished. But I think you are right that this movie is graphically violent. I don’t like war movies at all but I think Brad is sooo cool in this one. Enjoy the movie!

Thanks, Sherry for the trailer. It does look very exciting and Brad is so cool… My husband will definitely love this so it will be very enjoyable for both of us.

Btw, what kind of accent is that of Brad’s character?

I really liked the trailer although I´m not a big fan of war movies. I´m sure this movie – like all the other Quentin Tarantino´s movies – has a lot of graphic violence. But Brad alone is a good enough reason to watch this movie. It will be refreshing to see Brad in a completely different kind of role.

Brad’s character is a hillbilly, not sure what state that would be in. This movie looks great and I bet Brad had a lot of fun doing it.

i’m not really into violent films but this one looks really cool, so i guess i’ll watch this.

I’ll have to watch it like I did with Wanted: ready to look away. I’ve read that Brad’s character is supposed to be from Tennessee. It looks good, but I find the violence exhausting.

My husband will enjoy this one, not sure about me.

It funny I have read a lot of comments about how unrealistic this movie is the whole scalping of Nazis, so I thought I would comment on this. One it’s a movie, duh. Two this actually did happen in WWII but it wasn’t Nazis it was only the SS and it wasn’t the Americans that did it, it was the Canadians, after they took them around a hay stack and shot them so they didn’t have to drag them back to camp.

No doubt about it, Tarrantino is a master. But his films are hit or miss for me if only because of where he likes to linger. I liked Kill Bill but hated Reservoir Dogs. If I have to watch a baseball bat making contact with a human skull then this film is not for me.

Mary Ann, I don’t normally like violent movies either, but if Brad is in there it is good enough a reason for me to sit down and watch it :) Just like “Wanted”, I enjoyed it because Angie was in it. If it had been somebody else, I may not have wanted to see it.

Hope you will enjoy it too.

Oops, just to add one more thing. I may sound weird, but I tend to choose to see a movie because someone I like is in it. If it is someone I don’t like, I will not bother even if everyone else says it is a good one. For example, I just cannot watch Jim Carrey’s movie even for 5 minutes! (sorry in advance to those who are his fans).

Love the full trailer, much better representation of the movie.

I like both Quentin’s and Brad’s work so am looking forward to this. There are no anxious anticipatory knots in my stomach like there was for Burn! Just excitement!

Fan from Viet Nam—I am the same. It is the Actor that *gets me* to watch movies. I must admit a flaw to my movie watching. Sometimes I won’t watch because of the name…Like “Bone Collector”…..when I first heard the name, I thought “not for me” but then I watched it and loved it….
    Thanks for the trailer Sherry
