On behalf of PittWatch, I’d like to wish all my American readers a very happy 4th of July! Whether you’re having a BBQ, going to check out the fireworks, or traveling to see family, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
I’m sure that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are glad to have a holiday to spend together with their kids!
Although I celebrated Canada Day earlier this week, I think I’ll join the U.S. in celebrating Independence Day anyway! Have a great one!

Thanks Sherry, Happy 4th to all Pittwatchers. Hope you all have a fun day. We are going to a BBQ at my daughter-in-laws sisters house. Lots of great food and fun being together. Most of you know that my husband and I live with our daughter and her family and they left at 1 AM to drive to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. They will be with 3 other families. 8 adults and 11 kids. So hubby and I are here all week in a very quiet, organized house with just Simba the cat. Hope the Jolie-Pitts are having a nice holiday and will enjoy a nice picnic also.

We will be grilling bbq tonight over the lake.

i so miss Angie, Brad, Mad-Pax-Zee-Shi-Knox-Viv.. their keeping a very ,ow profile now, good for them but so for us, its a bit sad.. no news, no new pics except for Brad with the papz.. i really miss them!!!

Someone said at JJB that Empire magazine is owned by the Bauer media group,the same company that publishes Intouch and Life and Style.
Thats true neer, google it or go to wikpedia,they are all the same company.

I miss seeing the J-Ps, too. I have to say, though, that it’s not all that unusual to see little to no pictures of them while they’re in LA (as they currently are, at least as of the motorcycle incident a few days ago). They seem to keep a very low-profile there (my guess is it’s because the paps are obviously really, really bad in LA, since it IS LA, one of the celeb capitals of the world).
All of that said, I do wonder why we’ve seen so little of the J-P kids this year. I mean, the last couple of years we’ve had periods of several months in which lots of photos of the J-Ps were seen. This year, we’ve barely seen them. Anyone have any idea why we’re suddenly seeing so much less of the J-P kids?
Obviously we are going to see less of them now because they have six kids harder to schleppe around,plus those other years they were making or promoting more movies.I think as the kids are getting older they are voicing their opinion of how much they don’t like the paps remember shilohs reaction the last time we saw her in April she obviously did not want her picture taken and she is only three can you imagine when she is older?.I miss them but I am also glad they are getting their privacy,I think when that house is finished renovated and they officially move to France it’s gonna be ten times worse so we might as well just start getting use to it,i remember reading somewhere a while back where Angie said as the kids get older she wants to keep them out of the limelight and if SHILOHS reaction is anything to go by they will have no choice but to do so.

Jackie, was there an article or something I missed about them living officially in France? I thought they only had a 2 year lease on the house in France.
I have a feeling that the kids spend more time at school lessons during the summer, I only have this feeling because you see them more during the award season which is in the fall and winter. Just a thought.
I think Jackie has a good point, it’s probably partly a matter of ease. Brad and Angelina don’t like to walk around with an entourage of fifteen bodyguards and six nannies, you know? So with having six kids, it’s just a matter of it being more difficult to get around like they used to. We’ve also seen a lot of smaller groups – one of them with just Maddox and Pax, then the other with just Zahara and Shiloh.
There are days that I find it hard to make my way through a store and I only have TWO kids. We like to go to a second-hand bookstore but to this day I still haven’t properly perused its shelves because we always go as a family and I have to keep looking out to see where they are, what they’re doing, etc. So I can’t even imagine going out with six, or even four if you count out the babies.
Kim’s suggestion is good too. I know that many places have year-round schooling (my six-year-old would love that since she misses school and her school friends so much!) and with the schedule that they maintain traveling around it’s very possible that they school year-round too to balance out any interruptions.
I am really thrilled that they have had so much privacy but fully admit that at the same time I would LOVE to see them more!

Sherry, I’m a little disappointed that there was not a picture of fireworks behind the parliament building on July 1 post. Happy 4th of July to our nabours to the South.
Kim I remember reading somewhere where Brad said he was going to give the family a break because he has been dragging them from continent to continent,he also said France would be there Home base because it is a nice place and also the children have a lot of room to run around.I can’t remember where I read it but it was when he was doing promotion for Ben Button at that time is when I also read that yes they lease the mansion for 3 years they moved in everybody gelled and they have decided to purchase it when the lease is up.
Maybe someone can find the source for me but it’s out there,they have plunked down 12million to renovate it starting this January remember when Brad went to France by himself just before Easter and the French Media said he came to see how the Reno was going thats why they have not gone back to their house because it’s not finished.

jackie- I’ve heard all that, too. I’m a bit surprised, however, that the J-Ps were able to buy a working vineyard, especially since I read somewhere around the time of the twins’ birth that the Chateau was not up for sale (this was to help debunk the rumor that the J-Ps were purchasing the Chateau at the time). However, perhaps they are just buying the main house and the vineyard will continue under whoever currently owns it.
Also, I’m not so sure if that interview with Brad saying France is going to be their homebase is legit. It also doesn’t make sense to me that France would be their homebase as I can’t see them giving up their NOLA homebase. I haven’t seen it in PEOPLE or any other reliable news source.
All of that said, even if France DOES become their homebase, I don’t think we’re going to see even less than the J-Ps as we do now. After all, Brad is still doing movies, and Angie has said she plans to do one movie a year. So obviously they will still be traveling for movie shoots, award shows, movie promotion, etc.
Oh, and as for your comment about Shiloh, Jackie…Many of us, myself included, think that Shi was partially hiding behind her silkie in those pictures because the sun was in her eyes (in at least one of the pictures, even Angie is squinting a bit) and/or it was her naptime and thus she was a bit tired and/or cranky rather than because she didn’t want her picture taken (especially since she hasn’t appeared to be afraid of the paps in the past).

Nola is not their home base right now their in the states but you don’t see them living in New Orleans,it’s a place they love and they also wanted to support that community by purchasing a home as well as the make it right project.Seriously do you really see them living there full time and raising there children I really don’t see because whenever they step out of their house the paps are right there waiting its not enough privacy.
As for them moving to France I honestly beleive this is where they are going to settle down,and I know I read it in something legit about Brad’s comment but we will just have to wait and see.
I don’t understand why they would pic France, is it because of the tougher pap laws? A lot of famous people seem to live there.
jackie- Sorry, I should have been clearer. What I meant is that they obviously love NOLA and do spend a good amount of time there each year (for example, I believe Brad mentioned a few months back that they were going to go there for Easter, and I they were there last November as well). What I meant to say is that I don’t see them selling that house or not spending time there anymore.
However, I suppose they could still have France as their primary homebase and still keep the NOLA house and spend time there occasionally (come to think of it, Brad will HAVE to spend time there regardless of if they move to France, due to the Make It Right Project).
Anyway, I don’t really see them settling down anytime soon, since Brad is still making movies and Angie has said she plans to make about one a year. Obviously they need to travel to different locations for films. Also, I don’t think they’ll ever lose their love of traveling and of doing humantarian work in foregin countries.
To put it a little bit better…I don’t think the J-Ps will be able to live ANYWHERE full-time until both Angie and Brad stop making movies altogether.
