Happy fifth birthday to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt
November 29, 2008 by Sherry
Although he’s only been with the Jolie-Pitt family since March 2007, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is turning a whole five years old today, November 29th. I can’t believe how big he’s getting and I’ve been enjoying seeing some of his exuberant personality coming through as he’s adjusted over the past almost two years to his new family. When he smiles, it’s easy to see how happy he is.
Enjoy the video clip featuring a ton of beautiful photos of Pax and his Jolie-Pitt family (song is “Beautiful Boy” by John Lennon). He looks like he’s such a fun little character.
Happy birthday Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, I hope all your birthday wishes come true!

Happy birthday to the birthday boy Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt! You´re now 5 years old! Just a year and a half ago you lived in a Vietnamese orphanage and now you have a loving family:father, mother and five siblings! And also loving grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. May God bless you and your beautiful family always! BTW. Thank you for that beautiful video, Sherry! It´s truly unbelievable to see how much Pax has grown in a year and a half. His smile proves how happy he is now. He has everything he sure has always dreamt of.
awwww thanks Sherry, again this is a beautiful video - and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING PAXxxxx. He does indeed look more relaxed nowadays, more lively and spontaneous in his actions. I can’t help recalling Brad’s response to Oprah’s Q about the paps . . . that Zahara said: “It’s NOT alright daddy” - Pax always used to look absolutely stunned by all the cameras (whereas Maddox seems shy, Zee angry, and Shi very perplexed), and nowadays he’s more preoccupied with himself and having fun - and we know HOW-COME his sense of fun & adventure has surfaced . . . . . . It’s a joy to see him smile; he does seem so full of energy and enthusiasm for life (especially playgrounds & outings). The frame of in the boat- it looks like he’s trying to climb up to the rim, and Brad’s arm is straight up to restrain him; that’s the kind of kid he is I think - always into exploring with little sense of danger!! Another pic I love of him is from the first ‘twins’ set, the whole-family on the bed, and Pax and Brad are looking at each other with huge smiles. It’s gorgeous to see Pax so happy and relaxed nowadays. At least Angie & Brad have masses of photographic evidence to note how far he’s come in confidence and personal growth. I love that pic of the boys snuggled in bed together and close, and the one of Maddox putting his arm around Pax . . o and the shot with Zee sharing out sweets . . . . . more more WE WANT MORE (raucous applause!!!!!)
he obviously had adjusted well and is very comfortable with his new family.
happy 5th birthday paxman!
happy birthday pax! i can’t belive he turns five!!! he’s such a great boy! hope mom and dad have prepared a big party for him in this special day!
Happy Birthday Pax. You look so happy. Hope your family gives you a big birthday party today and that you are some where you have lots of friends to celebrate with you.
Happy Birthday to Pax. I am so happy for him as he has finally found a great family who truely love him and care for him. Every child deserves happiness and it is great to have people like Brad and Angie in this world who help make the world a better place.
Happy 5th birthday Pax!, continue happy and blessed along with your wonderful family, today
and everyday
Happy birthday Pax. You are such a happy boy & your parents & siblings are so proud of you. You are one lucky boy to be a part of the loving family.God bless you & the rest of your family.
happy brithday pax. Wow! you are full five now.
Thanks for the video, Sherrry - love the tinkly Lennon music.
A Great Big Happy Birthday, Pax-Man, with a Great Big Kiss and Hug. I hope you have a children’s center in Vietnam someday where kids will feel safe and well fed.
I wish I’d waited another day to be born, then Pax and I’d share the same bday
- but the 28th was also a good day to be born. It’s good to be 56.
a very happy birthday to PAX!!!
he’s a lovely little boy.
Ligaya, a happy birthday to you too.
Sherry, very well said and I totally agree with you (from the previous thread)..Indeed, there’s no need to worry yourself on what to do with this blog in the future. The important thing is the NOW, and our strong faith in the FUTURE of them together.
Actually, the line has been blurred when it comes to this blog since one is the OTHER HALF of the other. One support each other’s endeavor. The success of one, is the success of another and vice versa. Same with their supporters. For instance, I may be more of an Angie fan but I respect & support her choices in life. Brad has shown how much he loves & respects Angie and I like the inspiration they gave us, on the way they handle things, on how they live their lives together with their own family. I like their sense of priorities in life on what is relevant rather than what is trivial & superficial.
Sure, relationships of celebrities are not that stable but I would like to believe that Brad & Angie as a couple is AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.
Still, one may say anything can happen. We can never tell in the future. However, I rather think of the positive vibes re their relationship. Pray for them and hope for the best.
They have gone through ups & downs as individuals & as a couple, yet they are stronger & stronger. Their vast experiences in life taught them lessons in life, thus they are now applying it together as a loving couple.
As what Angie once said, “I think we both went on a lot of faith – we really did. Our family has grown very quickly, and we have a lot of responsibility together, and we acknowledge that we are lucky we turned out to be everything we’d hoped. We could have been very wrong, but every challenge we hit has brought us closer together. It has been that kind of relationship.”
happy b-day to pax.
the kids are growing up so fast. i wonder how the JPs celebrated their little boy’s birthday? i’m sure it’s fun.
happy b-day to you, ligaya
Happy Birthday Pax. It is also my brother’s birthday today 11/29 but he lives in the Philippines. Great video. Thanks Sherry.
happy birthday to one of the best pittwatch’readers: LIGAYA!!!!!! i wish you all the best for this new year of your life, a lot of happiness and great moments here on pittwatch lol! big kisses to you!
hi - I’ve just returned today to this site . . and must add:
Happy Birthday to Ligaya for the 28th; hope you had a great day & have a wonderful 56th year.
Any day must be a good day to be born - life is a gift.
Jxx
Thanks, IsaCutie, Neela, Melodie, and Jacqueline. It’s good to be alive - no matter what, life is worth living.
Ligaya, sorry I missed you birthday. Happy 56th Birthday. I seemed to be so disorganized lately so I am behind on my e-mails where I get most of my Pittwatch comments. Hope your day was great and that you and hubby did something special. You almost share Pax’s birthday and I share Knox and Vivi’s. That is kind of cool.
Sherry, noticed the last day or two that the size of the type is larger. This is great and I hope it continues. If you are the one that made the change thanks from all us old people who eyes are going.
Happy birthday little Pax!
I just want to share with you about this awards thing. I think that Angie will be nominated for best actress award on Golden Globes and Screen actor because they are announcing the awards in december and a lot of films are open around christhmas time, so she has a lot of chance before oscar nominations which are on 22. january. And Brad has more oppurtinity later on for Oscar nom, but anyway they are great actors so we shall see!
Am I late Ligaya? Happy birthday.
Happy belated birthday Ligaya!
I just saw the new pix on Belgapix.com of their house in Berlin from 29.11.2008. and the workers are taking down camouflage gates and the photo says that the family is moving on, so I think that they are in the USA already or back in France because the other part of filming of of IB is in France. My other thought that they are in NOLA because there is TCCOBB in NOLA on Monday. Also Angie is been nominated in Golden Satelite awards for the best actress and Changeling for best drama. The changeling opened third in UK with 4.4 mil.
Happy birthday from me as well
Happy Belated Birthday to Pax and Ligaya!
Thanks for the heads up, Nadia.
And thanks, Mary Ann, Irma, Sherry, Marissa and Lili May. Hubby spent 8-10 hours a day for the past 3 days trying to fix my computer and set up the computer we’re giving mom for xmas. I didn’t mind, that was more important than going out. We did have two of my favorite meals for my bday: chicken tikka masala and vegetarian biryiani rice (Indian) , and garlic prawns with baby bok choy and garlic rice (Thai).
Just found out 3 more things to be thankful of: (1) Sony Pictures Classics arranged a premiere of Sugar in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – and if you’re a baseball fan like me, this is super-exciting – they flew Major League Baseball superstars Pedro Martinez, Sammy Sosa, David Ortiz, Robinson Cano, and others down. The **president** of the country introduced Anna Boden, Ryan’s co-director. The baseball players told her they loved the movie and the crowd of 1400 was going wild. (Ryan had to miss it because he was working.) Sugar will be released on April 3, 2009 to coincide with the start of baseball season.
(2) Ryan’s now a member of the Directors Guild (he’s already a member of the Writers’ Guild) – so not only is he eligible for benefits and pension, theoretically he can rub shoulders with Clint Eastwood and David Fincher.
(3) He’s directing 2 episodes of HBO’s In Treatment with Gabriel Byrne. They wanted young indie directors and Gabriel liked Half Nelson. Ryan’s a little nervous since he hasn’t directed tv before.
Happy belated birthday, Ligaya!
Ligaya, that is all such good news for your son Ryan. How exciting. So I take it that the movie Sugar is about baseball? Can’t wait to see it. As Ryan keeps moving up the ladder maybe some day he will direct one of our favorites.
Happy belated birthday Ligaya,so you are 56yrs old more power to you babe, Happy belated birthday to Pax, hope his family gave him a big party and he got a lot of presents. I share Angie’s birth month, but I am much older than her,may be that is why I see so much of her in me, for example, disregading small people and things.
Happy birthday, Ligaya! I just became one of the pittwatch fans lately but Anna Boden is actually one of my first cousins on my father’s side. What a small world. I met your son Ryan at Elisa’s (Anna’s sister) wedding. Fine and talented you man! Now I know why! My name is Tina and I live in LA. We loved their movie “Half Nelson.” It’s definitely a must see for those of you who have not seen it. Happy Birthday too Pax! I was almost 16 when I was adopted and I instantly had a mother, father, brother and sister! I was so happy and lucky to be one of the “chosen ones.” Having a family is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me and I felt so very blessed! Cheers everyone!
Wow, small world! And you are blessed!
