Pittwatch.com: Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Gossip

In anticipation of the Jolie-Pitt twins’ People/Hello debut

by Sherry on August 3rd, 2008

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt first baby photos Don’t forget that tonight at 7pm Eastern time, People.com will release a teaser of the first, world-exclusive photos of Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. I assume they’ll show us the cover of the upcoming issue, and maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see one or two other photos, but no one knows for sure exactly how much we’ll get to see online.

A couple of people asked in the comments why People would show us any photos of the babies online before the magazine hits news stands, because why would people bother to pay for it if they can get the photos for free online.

Well here’s a good answer - according to Gawker, rumor has it that the issue of People closed with a 30-page spread of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and not only the new babies, but all the Jolie-Pitt children.

Even I’m shocked by that. It’s pretty obvious by this site that I love the Jolie-Pitt family but I never would have guessed a magazine would put in a 30-page spread. On the other hand, it almost makes sense. Many magazines do put out special issues following a pop culture phenomenon, such as television shows. I still have a couple of issues of various magazines that were dedicated almost solely to the once-popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer and as a teenager I used to love buying magazines dedicated to my favorite bands or actors. With the intense following of Brad, Angelina, and their family - by both fans and naysayers alike - it’s not unreasonable to think that people would be interested in seeing a huge portion of a reputable magazine dedicated to the Jolie-Pitt family.

So now I’m even more curious about picking up a copy of People when it’s available so that I can see if it’s true or not! The best part of this rumor is that it’s not just photos of Brad, Angelina, Knox, and Vivienne. I’m glad that Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh aren’t being left out just because they’re not the brand new babies.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to post the photos released by People this evening for legal reasons, but I will be around to link directly to the post on their site as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

The world waits. After reading other blogs or sites about the most anticipated first photos of the twins, i can now say that this is unprecedented. I mean, it’s as if everyone is a relative or a friend of the family that excites one’s emotion this much. I have never known anyone whose baby pics are most anticipated such as the Jolie-Pitt twins. Angie & Brad & the whole family really fascinates a lot of people around the world.

I worry that the People web-site will crash from all the traffic it will get. It is going to be crazy. First the pictures, then all the blogs will be kicked up to high gear. I am so happy that the whole family is included. I bet this was a condition of Brad/Angie. I know that it bothers them a great deal that the media is so obsessed with their biological children, when they love them all the same. If you have never adopted or know of someone who has adopted it may be difficult for you to understand that kind of connection is just as strong as a biological one. They have 6 children… not 3. I will be on the web, and watching the TV coverage on Monday. I know that this is going to be the talk shows main topic.

They really are the most fascinating family at this time.

I asked my husband about the website crashing when a gazillion people from around the world log in at the same time tonight, 7pm ET. I asked if it was possible for People to temporaily adjust their website capacity just for this Event. He seems to think so, but then again he’s not exactly Mr. Computer Man.

We’ve got 2 computers at home, I’m already logged in to the People website and I’ll constantly refresh throughout the day - hope this means I’ll see the photo(s).

I think it is great that there is a possibility that the whole family will be in the magazine. I can see why $14 million was paid out if it is the whole family. Maybe they are hoping this will give them a break or the issue could include formal pictures of the family. I know I will be at Walmart on Monday to see if they have the issue. Then I will go to Barnes and Nobles to see what they have.
On another subject. I just finished reading the book “God Grew Tired of Us” by John Bul Dau. Brad was the executive producer of the documentary film of the same name about the “lost boys of Sudan”. It was one of the first pictures of Brad and Angie out in LA after they adopted “Z”. Brad is mentioned in the book in last chapter. John, the author, met Brad at one of the screenings. From page 271 “After the initial screenings, the pace of the interviews and the requests for introductions increased. I met many people Christopher (Quinn) said were celebrities. A nice man, very sincere, shook my hand and spoke to me. He said that his name was Brad
Pitt. I had not heard of him, so I asked him what he did. He said he worked as the executive producer of Christopher’s documentary. Sometime later, somebody told me Brad also acted in movies. This is a really good book. I saw the documentary movie rented it from Blockbuster and it does not do justice to the book. The book is better. I felt that it gave me a little more awareness of what a nice and giving person Brad is. I think Angie has a lot to do with Brad getting involved, speaking out and helping others. Just think if he had not gotten with Angie, I think he would have given some money here and there but we would not see Brad on the scale that we see now. We would have seen the same old going out to dinner, to Mexico resorts, to premiers, award shows and every now and there supporting (mind you supporting) charitible causes. Angie has made him come out of his shell. I really like the person that he is now. I recall reading once when he was asked about a world news event, he made the statement “What the **** do I know, I am only an actor”. This was after he was in the movie about the movie in “Tibet”. Angie has shown him that even if you are an actor you can make a difference in this world. I just love these two together. I just think that faith brought them together.
I will be waiting to see the pics! Just hope I get a magazine, I know they will sell fast.

I am also logged on to People’s website and will be on it all day to make sure I will see the pictures and I will buy the magazine early in the morning on my way to work. Counting down the hours. I can’t wait.
