It’s a boy for Angelina Jolie!
Well of course it’s a boy. We all knew that. But on Thursday in Vietnam, Angelina Jolie picked up her three year old son from the orphanage, greeting him with hugs and kisses. The boy on her left, Pax Thien is Angie’s newest son.
According to CNN:
The child’s name is Pax Thien Jolie, said Trevor Neilson, Jolie’s adviser on international affairs. Pax means peace in Latin, but Neilson said he didn’t know whether Jolie had chosen it for that reason.
The article goes on to say that he woke up at 6 am like all the other children, then dressed in new clothes and was very excited. He was a little shy with Angelina when she arrived, but they were both given a big round of applause as they left.
Of course, being a celebrity, she had to deal with an enormous amount of paparazzi buzz: When they left the building, they were followed by a string of reporters and photographers, all eager for pictures of the new little boy who had been carried out (by her bodyguard perhaps?) with his face shielded from cameras.
Neilson, speaking from South Africa, said Jolie was at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City Thursday afternoon and had no plans to return home this weekend.
He said that she complained in a telephone call to him that paparazzi had attacked her car as she left the orphanage, pounding on the door and throwing things under the vehicle to prevent it from going.
“Angelina understands the interest in her life, but we hope that the paparazzi can have some restraint when it comes to the safety and emotional health of this boy,” Neilson said.
Angelina and Maddox were greeted at the orphanage by 20 children in traditional Vietnamese ao dai, or tunics, and they were offered flowers as a welcome.
Officials are still insisting that the adoption process went according to regulations and did not have any preferential treatment.

I really do hope that paps would leave them alone, poor kid, I’m sure he is going to be in shock… I hope too that Brad goes to Vietnam to meet them as well!! Nothing but love for this family!

Congratulations!!!!!! To Brad and Angie and the family. Hope the paps will be respectful of this young child, but I doubt it.

Congratulations Brad and Angie. Pax has pouty lips too. I like the name Pax (peaceful) Thien (sky). In Chinese tien means sky too.
