Its a girl?
This from FoxNews.com:
You might want to bet on a sister. On its Web site Wednesday, People magazine quoted an observer who overheard Jolie saying, “We think it’s a girl, but we’re not 100 percent certain.”
Before flying to Africa nine days ago, Pitt and Jolie bought baby dresses, socks, a bonnet and a layette, while on a shopping spree in a Paris boutique.
Now, lets watch the poll on the right - at the time of this writing, 32% say its gonna be a girl - lets see where it goes from here!
I have a big day ahead of me, but if you all will give me some more topics for this weekend’s PittWatch Readers React, I will post one or two of them tonight. Again, forgive me for being out of touch, I will do the best I can with all of these family goings ons this week!

What a thrill for Brad if it IS a girl….! I mean, we all recall his famous quip: “Little girls….they just kill me.”
I’m quite sure they will be thrilled with either…and tho most guys seem to like having boys by tradition (to carry on the family name) I think a girl might make Brads chest stick out just a little more. ;) I’m really hoping they release a family pic soon. I just can’t hardly wait to see the expression on that mans face as he holds his new child. So exciting!

Does anyone have the sneaking suspicion that Cruise is waiting until his movie is out before Holmes “gives birth”? Either that or waiting until Angelina gives birth first. I won’t be surpised if Holmes gives birth a week after Angelina does.
I think I read somewhere a post saying that Angelina went into this Parisien store to buy girl clothes. I don’t mean People, but another place that had this news item out before People did. I think they went to the store to talk to the workers there.

When I translated an article from French magazine, it was claimed there also that it’s a girl. Brad has Maddox to carry on his family name and he likes to have daughters more than sons as he said. He’s very right for this; I had a great relationship with my late father and my two-year-old daughter Zoe and my husband are in love with each other. You can see Angelina’s and Maddox’s bond for each other. If it’s a girl, Brad will be much more loved than Angelina in their family, 2 girls and a son!

One more thing, in my country, it says that if a mother becomes more beautiful during her pregnancy, it’s a boy. If it’s a girl, a mom gets uglier because the girl takes the beauty of her mother before she’s born. It is almost impossible to see Angelina ugly but she doesn’t look more beautiful than she is, during her pregnancy, right? Then, it’s a girl!

How ’bout “Shakia” (pr. Shu-kee-ah) meaning (for a girl that looks like Angie obviously) “She takes after her mother”… and it’s an African-American name. Anybody else got name ideas?

I’m still leaning towards a boy for some reason. I just have a stronger feeling about a him than a her, and plus I’m finding the “pink for a girl” not very Angelina like. She really hasn’t dressed Zee in frilly pink clothing, so why would she start now? I guess we’ll know in about 4-5 weeks.

At last! Baby name chat! Well done finding that site, Catherine - I noticed Ayana, meaning beautiful flower. I think an African name is a good bet. I did notice that site did not feature Zahara, but I guess it won’t have all African names.
I know you can’t really tell fact from fiction in the media, but I think it rings true that they said they’re fairly sure its a girl, because on ultrasound scans its only the absence of ‘male bits’ that lets you know its a girl, so they couldn’t be totally sure.

Hey Bamz, I agreee…I don’t just “buy” the “it’s a girl idea, just because somebody wrote that Angie was buying pink…or did they just say “baby girl clothes”? I don’t recall…I guess I’m hoping for Brad that it’ll be a girl…ahhhhh.
And to Belle> take a look at the Z’s again on that site…there’s a “Zahra”, meaning “flower” in Swahili. I think that may be just a different variation of Zahara, from another tribe.

Oh…I found a good one.
Ajene Jolie-Pitt. Pronounced “Ah-jah-neh” meaning “Truth”. It would mean (basically) “Pretty Truth”. :)

I have an article from a newspaper very long time ago. It is a Chinese belief, it shows you what sex your child would be according to the age, mother-to-be gets pregnant. Yes, it’s against science! Still, if Angelina got pregnant in August or September in 2005 when she’s 30 years, it’s a boy!

Zahara is an Arabic name, I believe. Adanna, I love it!

Zahara means luminous one … before Pitt was added, her name translated “luminuous pretty one” - how sweet is that…
