Jolie-Pitt family fan video
June 24, 2009 by Sherry
Where I live (the province of Quebec, in Canada), June 24th is a holiday. It’s a province-wide celebration where everything shuts down other than non-essential services (hospitals, electric companies, etc) and a lot of people hold various festivities. Since I will be out most of the day at a BBQ seeing friends I haven’t seen in years, I won’t be online until later this evening. To tide you over, here is a great Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jolie-Pitt children fan video that I found.
I kind of laughed because the song (“Paper Planes” by MIA for the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack) is a bit of an odd choice for it, but the photos of Brad, Angelina, and the kids that were chosen are all fabulous so as far as I’m concerned, it’s a good video.
I thought it would fill the gap since we haven’t seen the family for quite some time!
The comment issue seems to be almost repaired, thanks to the awesome tech folks. Any comments that go into moderation will be dealt with sometime in the late evening when I get back home, and I’ll check then if there’s any major news that I’ve missed.
In semi-related news, it seems that Moneyball is in limbo. Although I haven’t yet read anything confirming that it’s been set aside, I haven’t read anything saying that it’s been picked up either so unless they get a new director, Moneyball will not be in production anytime soon. While disappointing for everyone – especially the crew members who depend on the work – at least Brad and Angelina and their children will get some downtime together all at the same time!

Liev Schreiber reveals shorter side of Angelina
Wednesday, June 24, 2009,16:36
New York, (ANI): LIEV SCHREIBER has said that he was glad to find his perfect Salt co-star Angelina Jolie flawed. The 6-foot-3 star revealed he had imagined the stunning beauty to be tall but was happy to find her shorter at 5-foot-8.
“She’s a lot shorter than I thought she would be, but I was pleased by that. I’m happy there was a flaw,” the New York Daily News quoted the actor as saying. Schreiber, who recently celebrated his Hamptons magazine Father’s Day cover, added:
“Having said that, I think Angelina is pretty talented. And a remarkable human being, and a great mom. She’s definitely not like any other lady I know.”

Designer to the stars ANITA DONGRE chats with Masala! just ahead of visiting the city for the Dubai Fashion Fiesta
by Binu Sivan
Anita Dongre has her pulse on both high street fashion and what works on the red carpet. She can also win us over with designs that are traditional and creations that shock – remember the outfit worn by Mallika Sherawat at Cannes? Here Anita talks to us about her latest collection as well as fashion in Dubai…..
Is there a Bollywood or Hollywood star you would love to dress?
Maybe, just maybe, Angelina Jolie, but I am quite happy with the different stars and women I already dress.
that was one of my favorite song last year. haha. the video was really cute. i miss the family even more but i know they’re having a fun summer together privately. and about the Moneyball, in my opinion, i hope Brad would just drop it. i think only small quantity of people would be interested in watching sport game such as baseball. and this whole controvesry isn’t helping either.
Thanks for the video Sherry!!!
I hope you have a great celebration day with you family!!!
OT but AJ related article re adoption

One has to give Madonna some credit for adopting her latest daughter, Mercy James, despite all the criticism she received. There is no doubt this girl will grow up happier and healthier than she would have in an orphanage.
However noble Madonna’s cause is, her pretending to be the next Angelina Jolie is what is causing a lot of criticism. Angelina, unlike Madonna, doesn’t get herself in trouble because Ms. Jolie follows each country’s adoption rules by the book. Angelina Jolie adopts genuine orphans, not kids who have relatives who can take care of them. Angelina also seems to have a true understanding of the countries where she adopts kids from.
There was Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, and now, Angelina Jolie. Madonna just doesn’t fit into that category even though she desperately tries to. In any case, saving a child is always a good thing and we all have to give Madonna some credit for this.
Love, love, love the video! Many pics I haven’t seen and these are the intimate, family kind of photos I love. Brad and Angie and the children ROCK!
Love the video..lots of the pics I hadn’t seen (and thought I’ve seen most all of them out there) not to sure about the music though:_):)
I loved this video. No one has a smile like Zee. Her whole face lights up when she gives that big smiles. I even on and looked at the other videos there were some great ones in there.
Haven’t been able to post my comments for a couple of weeks.
Hope tech probs OK now.
Hope you had a great family day, Sherry. Thanks for the great family video – LOVED IT.
Thanks, Neer, for all the extra Angelina stuff, especially Liev confirming her talent, being a great mom & being remarkable human being.
I remember that day in NOLA. So great to see them enjoying the park.
Thank you for the video Sherry! I love it! I hope you enjoy your holiday!
Neer, thank you too for the links to all those wonderful articles! I love reading them!
What do you think about this new rumor that Angie wants to run for President? I find it bizarre.
A nice substitute for not seeing the whole family for a while. Thanks Sherry for the video. God bless you & your family. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.
Very cute video. Thanks Sherry. I do miss seeing photos of the kids. Just an absolutely lovely family. Since it looks like Moneyball fell through, I hope they can (if they haven’t already) leave for France for some special family time.
Thanks Neer for the articles, especially the one by Liev Schreiber. It seems everyone who works with Angie really thinks the world of her whether it’s a fellow actor, director, or producer.
Speaking of which…thanks Fa for the Philip Noyce interview (a few threads back). Love what he said about Angie. And based on what Noyce said I can’t wait to see “Salt”. “It’s highly dramatic, it’s highly emotional. It’s a thrill a minute. People are going to be very, very surprised by what they see, and by what they see her do. As I have been.”
Sherry – I’m so glad your techies got the comments working again. Hope you enjoyed your national holiday.
Thanks Neer & Fa (Noyce interview) for the latest articles on Angie. Great finds. Thanks Sherry for the new thread. Very cute video. Miss seeing the JP kids.
Karen – Angie doesn’t want to get into politics. She was asked before and she laughed and said no. It’s another made up story.
Apologies if my earlier post pops up. I didn’t see it or a comment in moderation warning.
BTW – Glad we’re able to see the comments again. Thanks to the techies.
Thanks, I needed that. Sure miss seeing the JoliePitt family out and about. : (
Angelina said she’s not a “political person” in her most recent interview with Ann Curry, going on to say that [even she] could see that the refugees were not extremists, they were in fact fleeing extremists.
Now, I consider Angelina a very political person, according to my own definition – maybe she means she’s not a politician.
I ALWAYS TOTALLY DISMISS ANY/ALL RUMORS unless backed up Angelina herself and/or a credible, reliable, on-record source – two preferably, in a reliable, credible meida outlet. When Anderson Cooper or Christiane Amanpour reports Angelina Jolie aspires to be president, I’ll believe it.
C’mon, there’s just yanking our chain.
Thank you for running this site, Sherry! I noticed something that made me smile, as it made Brad seem all the more regular a person: in the photo from your Father’s Day posting where he’s holding Zahara, Brad has a hole in his pants! I sort of hate to point it out, but it does seem like something that happens to me, not to Brad! I see it as kind of a cute human element I noticed. Thanks again, Sherry, for ALL you and everyone connected with this site do.
Oh happy day, the tech’s have solved the problem. Hope you enjoyed your holiday yesterday Sherry.
Neer – Thank you for the link to a beautiful article.
Fa – thanks to you too.
Sherry, I hope you have had a nice day with your family and friends yesterday. Thanks for the video.
Could anybody post a video from the SPIKE TV GUYS CHOICE AWARDS when Brad is accepting the Femme Fatale Award on behalf of Angelina? I have seen the video where Hally Berry is accepting her award but there is no video from Brad accepting Angie’s award.
Thank you.
Btw Angie has won the Saturn Award for Best Actress for Changeling!
Why MF, X etc. are mentioned in the same breath/conversation as Angelina Jolie….
It only proves the fact that the name Angelina Jolie is so powerful that everybody seems or wants to attach his name to her.
Angelina Jolie draws attention. When we see her name in the news (print, TV), we pause, we read (or we listen) about her. We want to know anything about her. Hence, a lot of people realize that associating AJ to every starlet (wannabe or a has-been or a Z-lister) in any news is an easy way to bring attention or to the promotion of the starlet’s movie or any project for that matter. It’s simple as that.
Angelina Jolie’s name is like magnet. Fascination by her is not exclusive to her fans or to her admirers anymore. It extends to people who claim to dislike her. The irony is, it doesn’t make sense why they want to know about her when they don’t like her at all. Oh wait, they are fascinated by AJ because subconsciously they want to be like her. AJ’s life, family, advocacy, passion, actions, words, looks, advocacy, everything seems in the right places & direction that it can’t be helped that she’s admired. They admire her, they just can’t admit it even to their own selves.
Even the haters are owned by her. And that cannot be denied anymore.
It is what it is. The power of Angelina Jolie.
Hi! Can anyone tell me where the picture from 0:51 is? It is such a beautiful shot! Thanks.
Angelina Jolie won Best Actress (Changeling) in #35th Annual Saturn Awards (http://www.variety.com/article/VR111…=1&ref=bd_film)
Congratulations!!!
AJ’s Changeling performance is so riveting that deserves every accolades it can get (or has gotten).
When AJ’s in the mood in making serious films such as A Mighty Heart, Changeling, Gia, Girl Interrupted, George Wallace, Playing By Heart etc. expect something excellent & extra-ordinary out of her every performance that often leaves a mark.
When she’s in the mood in making action films such as Wanted, Mr. & Mrs.Smith, Tomb Raider 1&2, Taking Lives, Bone Collector etc expect her to really kick as** as good if not better as any man.
When she’s in the mood in making some comedy such as Playing By Heart, Life or Something Like It, Kung Fu Panda, Shark Tale etc. expect her to have some fun & to be funny too.
Lainey & KY Jelly (hee) are running a summer-long Hot Celebrity Couples competition.
First up Brad & Angie vs. Johnny & Vanessa (I love both couples).
Depp & Paradis are winning.

Director Philip Noyce (Salt, Bone Collector) has incredibly great things to say about everything Angelina http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/14469/exclusive-phillip-noyce-talks-salt-:
Question: Are you in your element making this kind of movie?
Noyce: Well, here’s the thing. Look. This movie is sort of a combination of every movie I’ve ever made, in a weird way. So, I was in my element, yeah. I mean, you know, this is a little bit of “The Quiet American”, in its complex morality. It’s a little bit of “Clear and Present Danger”, in its study of the CIA. It’s a little bit of “The Bone Collector”, just because it has Angelina Jolie as the star. It’s a little bit, even, of “Newsfront”, in as much as there’s a realistic or documentary edge to some parts of the movie.
However, the major thing the audience is going to find is that the movie’s a showcase for the incredibly diverse talents of Angelina Jolie. When I say “incredibly”, that’s not an understatement. Incredibly diverse. I mean, as we know, she’s a brilliant dramatic actress. Without a doubt. That’s been proven. But – you know, she’s also, in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, and the “Tomb Raider” films, she’s shown that she can kick ass as good as any man. In this film, she gets to do both and she does both in a way that I think will startle audiences. It’s highly dramatic, it’s highly emotional. It’s a thrill a minute. People are going to be very, very surprised by what they see, and by what they see her do. As I have been.
So, when you say, “Are you in your element?” You know, this has been such a ride with her. Coming back to work with an actress who was in her early twenties when I first worked with her, and is now in her early thirties. You know, to see the maturity is extraordinary, you know? She’s a relative newcomer when she was in “The Bone Collector”, which was her first film where she’s above the title, I might add. Alongside Denzel Washington, but still a relative newcomer. You know, she was just finding her feet. Now, ten years later, she’s absolutely in her prime as an actress, and as a film actress. Totally understanding the process of making movies, of telling stories, of reaching out to an audience, in a way that the greats do. You know.
Harrison Ford is probably the greatest entertainer that I’ve ever worked with, as much as he had an innate understanding of his relationship to his audience, and his character’s relationship with the material. That was a marvel, to watch him work. So, making this film was a marvel to watch Angelina work. A woman with six children, often brought along to visit, and would be hanging out in the caravan. She has a multiplicity of causes that she really does care about. Plus a movie that required her absolute unbinding attention, physically and mentally. She never seemed to falter and that was quite remarkable, just to be around that kind of dedication and precision.
You see a person, a great athlete, who’s at the top of their game. I remember, I was a friend of Cathy Freeman [Australian runner] when she won the gold medal, you know? I mean, just to be around that kind of dedication, that kind of precision, that kind of honed to perfection kind of approach to what they’re doing – is exciting and marveling as well. You’re in awe. So, I had a great time.

Cute video! OT: Hannelina mentioned a Father’s Day post that Sherry did. Can someone give me the link for it? I can’t seem to find it.
